Did you know that you can update the Z10's firmware? This unlocks a top speed of nearly 38 mph and slightly better range... Its a little scary because the tilt back as you get as you push the top speed is frighteningly abrupt, but now the Z10 is back up there with the big boys... we are now looking at a 100 volt upgrade next, the Z10 aftermarket is looking good :)
I have heard of this; you mean the hack right? And wouldn’t upgrading to 100 volt require whole new board, battery and motor?
@@OWGAC Yes but its a pretty sophisticated hack, this Russian dude has an app that reads certain codes from the Z10, uploads a firmware update and voila an extra 10mph and better range (three unlocked Z10's were part of a group ride with a locked one and we spent the last 2 miles nursing it home as it was completely drained and the rest still had around 20% left)
I imagine the battery upgrade includes at least a new board, details are sketchy at the mo, but there's a group of about 6 - 7 who will be clubbing together for a discount (I won't be the first to have it done, I want to check out how it works first)

The only thing I disagree with is that the ninebot z10 is an extreme EUC. (Maybe exteme I design?) But like always amazing production 👍🏾😎
Thank you! I think both of these wheels are extreme in their ride characteristic, that’s why the Z10 is such a polarizing wheel, you either love it or you hate it, very few in between!

Ewheel is totally legit, I bought from them multiple times and I hear very few complains on the EUC forum. There’s also EUCO which has a shop I believe.

The Z10 is well made, but the specs don't really get it into the "extreme" category. I appreciate the in depth analysis on wheel feel, center of gravity etc though!

I thought the 16x was a controversial wheel with all the issues it had but maybe the MSP is because all the different motors they've been putting in it?
The different motors is a result of the controversy and not the cause; people wanted a faster MSuper, at least no slower than the MSX.
@@OWGAC that makes sense. It's probably a good thing that you get to choose now though. High torque or high speed. It's hard to do both with electric motors
You can hack the z10 ? I don't have one now but I did . Just wanted to Know how fast it really will go ?
Yes I believe it can go up to 56km or 35mph, I don’t know too much details but you can find out more on the EUC forum!
I have z10 and msuper x and the msx is the one I ride everyday, it is so versatile and great for distance riding.. Great @slow and fast speeds and great torque for hills.. If anything ever happened I would have to buy another msuper x.. If I had to choose just 1 wheel to ride forever it would be the Gotway msuper x.. 👍👌🇬🇧Although I am very interested in the new suspension wheel and what the price and performance is going to be..? 😊
I’m sure you’ve heard about it, but EUCservice.com is selling a modified version of the msuper pro (called msuper sport). It has better range and speed. The catch is that it’s about 3000 dollars.
I don't think it's that much, last I heard it was $2400 including shipping to the us, I would love the chance to try it also!
Hsiang yeah, there are two versions. The better one is around 3000 and the other one is 2400. Still both great products I’m sure; both an improvement from the msp.
Hsaing. QUESTION: Is it worth taking the risk on a used Z10 today? I've seen your videos about it and know about the lack of support. I found a used Z10 with less than 100 miles that someone had in storage... So, would you take a chance on the used Z10 for a good price, or pay more than double for a Inmotion v11. (I know they are different beasts). Thoughts?
Been out on my Z10 today. Pushing it hard on rough trails. Conclusion - 1. I will keep Z10 until I kill it. I have a 2-year warranty on it which I have used once on burned chips already - I think due to my 100kg mass and me overdoing learning how to reverse/pendulum! 2.. Pushing the Z10 hard on trails is a great work out - legs and core so not keen on the idea of suspension taking this away. 3. It is a great flow activity of relaxation, mindfulness, and pleasant sensation - not sure if I would lose this with a Pro. 4. Just realised that this is only the beginning. Imagine thinking that the first iPhone is as good as it’ll get - so consumer strategy is now by the best wheel every two years - use warranty - as in 10 years EUCs will be astounding. I have another 19 months on my Z10 to go before it is a hand me down !
I just did a off-road trail ride on the MSP this past weekend, and its def a lot of fun, its unfortunately a bit of a hike from where I live so I don’t get to do it often. But it was so much fun I think I need to make it more of a regular trip!

Hsiang my biggest concern is the angled footplate last but i think you can swap them for monster ones
Great video and glad to be able to hear your voice again! A few things; I see you're not wearing the full face mask you got after the fall. Did you get tired of it or was it getting in the way of your mic? I also noticed you (and other riders) lifting the back of your foot off the pedals. Are you doing this on purpose, or just subconsciously? Is it helping you control the wheel?
I just got the MSX Pro and am acclimating to that (from an 18XL). Its definitely a different beast. I had to put on shin guards because the angles of the pedals and the sharper edges were killing me! Just like when I was learning to ride EUC's.

The chin piece was actually too far forward and partially blocks my view of the ground immediately in front of the wheel, and yes, blocking the mic was the other concern. As to my feet, that’s the weird off center stance I keep, my right foot is always totally flat to pivot the wheel and cushion the bumps and I tippy toe stand on the front left corner of my left pedal and lift my heel to apply additional pressure to accelerate. not sure if you ever watch Vinny ride, he does something similar except with both of his feet.

My purchasing motivation is derived by popularity of opinion. Hence my purchase of the M Ten 3. I would love a bigger wheel. The MSS, X, Pro seems to be another universally liked wheel. Its hard when you cant try them.
They are for very different purpose, the MTen3 is a good wheel but only on good surface, and for slower speed and shorter distance ride. Great for tricks but likely not good for commute unless its short.

You'll have to import one via aliexpress, but since there are no warranty support I don't recommend getting one now.
Just been informed that my new MSP will not be with me for another two weeks - this a decent
cooling-off period - my research tells me the MSP is the best wheel available right now - my Z10 is currently with Segway and should be back in a few days - based on the Z10 reunion and your MSP videos I might even end up cancelling the MSP - still not sure about those footplates but love the motor.

next years wheel will probably be 100v plus m/b 120v 2 k battery 3k motor suspended, 3 inch tire 20" wheel plus $3.5 k
There seems to be some sort of agreement of keeping wheels close to $2,000 since volume for more expensive wheel (just the Monster) is way less. So I kinda doubt it? But we’ll see what Gotway has up its sleeve!!

for me 35 psi to my weight 65 kilo . lower makes it more tilting left-right according to road tilt .

Easy, which ever wheel that has the largest battery! some dealer are offering modded wheels with extra large battery packs, like the 2200wh MSX several people here in NYC are riding. You can prob get 60 miles range on those also.

My question is about the feel of your MS Pro experience compared to the Z10. I agreed with your comment about the Z10s fluid, silky movement and mostly that it feels like a body augmentation. The wide wheel, decent torque, low center of gravity and rotational axis that seems to be pinned to your ankles. Most importantly, the more I use the Z10 the more it become apart of my body. I am told the MSX/Pro experience feels like you are riding on rails - good to commuting and good for going fast but perhaps the wheel feels more like a vehicle and less like a part of oneself? Well, both the MSX and the MSP are more “monster like” in that they aren’t as affected by the condition of the road surfaces at speed. Since the weight and center of gravity is further p on these wheels, they don’t shift as much. But at lower speed, you also can’t lean an MSX the same way you do an z10, since past certain angle the wheel will all of sudden feel like its about to fall over, because of the higher weight. But yes, lots to talk about on the MSpro, stay tuned! =D

@@DreiSkins101 From basic principles, I thinks its simple battery size and rolling/air friction. Also riding style. i.e. how many time you change momentum. Less flappy clothing also helps as does sitting down. So putting it all together, Consider an MSS. It has a huge battery.

Hsiang I’m prepared to change and will look forward to some tips from a Z10 master. My Z10 has gone back to Segway for another repair when it is back I will sell it. Whatever wheel I use I want that sense of augmentation. Which is why II want one at a time. It’s like learning a martial art. - very difficult to develop ‘no mind’ if you learn two styles at the same time. From what I have seen the MSP is the best wheel for the places I ride.

I’d love to! Years ago when I was taking Capoiera class they had a regular yearly training trip to Brazil but I never sign on, but I still hope for a chance in the future!
