      @@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan I spent 3 years studying Hogan's swing. You are way beyond anyone I've seen or read about. You have done the work and Hogan would have been proud ! Ps. I believe I have cracked the secret.... AND NO ONE HAS COME CLOSE TO UNCOVERING / REVEALING IT.. I am curious if you have :)

    Hi Chris! I have improved my swing and handicap significantly; learning from you. I am 71 years old shooting in the high 70's low 80' more constant shots! My driver is around 230 to 240, I can hit my 3 iron again straight hitting the ball in the middle of the face. Thank you.

    All I did was grip and then lifted the weight and brought it back down pure simple power
    Amazing
    I don't if all of what you teach is related to hogan but it works .
    The right leg stepping into shot can be done by anyone with the least understanding of golf swing and it works so well
    Just lifting the weight as you turning slightly and dropping the weight on downswing creates the most beautiful sound.

    I love how you explain this and coupled with the video which explains carrying angles it’s gold. Hogan was genius and you doing your best to help us emulate his movements is wise

    Really helpful, Chris. Feeling the right arm in the 'bicep curl" position is a really simple key that sets up the rest of the swing and makes it feel effortless. I look forward to hearing more about Hogan's waggle. Everything thing he did was so purposeful and well thought through.

    When I taught myself to play baseball I thought “breaking the wrists “ was the worst description ever because it felt like my forearms were what was going to break. I think it was more the left thumb was the key for me. I can hardly wait to try it out. But I know it will work because I remember everything now. I let people talk me out of it in table tennis and tennis. Great lessons, thanks.

    First time ever I’ve ever heard someone explain the bicep power angle. Despite many other golf professionals explaining Mr Hogan’s swing, none of them interpreted this power angle. Can’t wait to give it a go 👍😊

    The "FLAT" part of this swing is unequivocally and absolutely necessary for me. After practicing for several sessions in my room (without a ball), THIS thought was the key. I use the divot board which gives you instant feedback on how your club enters the ground/impact area. It's revolutionary, thank you Chris!

    Hi Chris, I implemented the Power Angle into my swing yesterday on the range and the results were amazing. It took 5 swings to get it and then the sound of the ball coming off the club was a thing of beauty. I now need to adjust the driver in order to get maximum launch and distance. Thanks for your instruction.

    What about the club face coming down being wide open ? Almost all the pros have the club face a little closed at position p6. Thanks for your videos.

      @afs-drew9644 Před rokem +1

      I believe this was covered in rotation / release vids. I'm sure Chris will get back to you. It is definitely a controversial point of the method as current teaching does want 'square' even shut in the back swing. In my experience I would rather avoid pulls and hooks ( hmm...like Hogan) from an overcooked squared and zeroed path. A definite negative especially when pressure / adrenaline is on. The 7.5 degrees inside out path and missing ''open' is just so much more manageable ESPECIALLY knowing the real ball flight rules regarding face to path relationship. Of added interest .. Nicklaus is quoted as saying '' I've never seen a really good player set it square or closed at address'. .. wonder why .. can't talk to a hook :) ? ( Google the quote - see result GOLF Digest). As they say swing flaws start at address :)

    • @andrews6617
      @andrews6617 Před rokem

      Haha - the Nicklaus clubface open at address is the first thing I fixed /' Un-learned' from my modern golf lessons. 😊. Nicklaus was right ! I guess instructors get you addressing squared with a strong grip to make bigger slices. .. and then as you get cured of slices only to make hooks later on 😂

    • @maeu59
      @maeu59 Před rokem +1

      You need to hit 100’s of balls a day to keep this going. Hogan fought a hook and was able to roll the wrists, average players will slice all day with this.

    You nailed it with what must be done with the modern hybrid approach to get the club slotted back on plane… that difference in my opinion was 🔑 key …

    Chris, I found your video 2 days ago and I throw everything I learned in the past 3 years in the trash . Just the elbow alone , I might not even do it correctly and for the first time I stood there and just wait for my ball to land. I watch the head position tonight too and I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow. When you said it will work guys, you don’t lie.

    Great work Chris!! Quick question. I know it is not exactly what hogan did but what is your thought on pre setting the trail arm into the power angle position. Some instructors call it “giving blood” position.

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  Před rokem +1

      You could do that. Just make sure when you move into the backswing that you do not loose that angle at anytime.

    Morning Chris didn’t hogan have his right hand on top of the grip affording him the opportunity to make that back swing move ur talking about?

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  Před rokem +1

      The trail elbow is following the rib cage. The elbows point, will feel like it is riding at the bottom of the rib cage, like it is on a track if you will. But this keeps the elbow on the proper orbit around your trail side.

    I have watched a lot of your videos and have never seen you take a full swing or hit a ball. Just wondering why?

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  Před 10 měsíci

      There are several reasons that I have mentioned in other threads. However, I believe strongly one should learn to make the motion first and understand why they are doing it. Then and only then take it to a driving range, not to hit balls, instead to see how well they are making the motion.
      Hope that helps.

  • @afs-drew9644

    Hogan = Master of the curve. Moe Norman = Master of straight. Both use the single plane golf swing. [From Moe' s accounts] : Moe starts a round with Hogan and hits a straight shot. Hogan says straight shot is an accident. Moe says I have accidents all day long - you better call an ambulance 😅

      Maybe a little, but a huge difference. Cowen is teaching Danny how to do this using a different pattern than what Hogan was on. He is teaching him how this happens in a downward pattern where as Hogan was an around pattern.

Actually I apply BO way and by doing so in the ongoing way I ve to add my own feeling to get almost the same result that BO so then now just more practicing and I thing I’ll reach the good level you ll heard about me through circuit ☺️🏌🏽‍♂️
