Impressed on how Lectric keeps improving their product. We just bought 2 XP 3.0 Lectric bikes and love them. The premium headlight is nice but tends to loosen more quickly due to its weight with a single mount screw. Going to put another star washer on there to secure it better. I do need to rave about the customer support from Lectric. The rear tail light was dead on arrival on one of our bikes. With some troubleshooting I knew it was a defective cable or controller. Lectric immediately sent both and were very happy. Best customer support experience ever!!!
Great to hear about your experience with the 3.0 and customer support. Thanks for sharing.
I got the JW version for my yacht so I don't have to worry about the chain turning to rust overnight if I decide to leave it on deck or go riding on the beach.
Great review guys!! I got the Lite when it debuted, this morning I preordered the belt drive extended battery Lite 2.0 😎
Thank you for the video review of the new Lectric XP Lite 2.0! I first watched your other video that while long... did offer very insightful info on the battery life in use. It would be helpful to others to hear this in this review, or mention, case they are on the fence about standard or long range battery choice. That said for any that with the need for more assurance they will last for their full ride, it is a cheap investment to buy the upgraded LR battery at purchase for sure. I SUPER appreciate including your wife's demo and her views on theease of the ride. I am 70 and want all of these features , am encouraged I likely won't miss the speed shift option. I will happily use your like for the purchase, all tips welcome.
Nice video and was happy to see both of you smiling as always having fun.
Ah. That's nice ☺️
I like how the lady looks at you while you're talking. You can tell she loves you.
How nice. Maybe I should ask her out 😊
@@RVwithTito go for it.

Have always loved your videos, thanks for another good one.
Thanks. Means alot.
I still have my original XP that I bought in 2019 and love it. They make a great product.
If it ain't broke, no need to replace it. You've got the 4" tire too. A lot has changed in the new models though. LECTRIC is hard to keep up with :)
Meah, l like your RV repair upgrade videos way better. I just installed the new Koni FSD EVO shocks on our Tiffin. OMG these are incredible, GYSOT.
Great review. I did some looking on their website and I didn't see anything mentioned about approximate speeds of different models? I've had an ebike for a little less than 6 years and prefer to be able to get close to the posted city traffic limits of 25mph. I can still manage that with my non ebike and riding with traffic just seems so much safer.
My jw black is being delivered this Friday!
I like how they even thought about little details like the cable wrap. It looks so much better with that gradual taper than the original flat spiral wrap. And those welds are gorgeous 😍
Great video. My Mrs & I have been so paralyzed by the learning curve involved with E-bike choice we've been discouraged from buying anything. This review may have just got us off top-dead-center. Thank you!
ETA: I have serious doubts that belt will outlast a chain. Chains don't dry rot.
Thanks! I'm glad this was helpful. Happy shopping.
Thank you both for the review. Bike size and weight matter for me when traveling.
This one travels very well compared to other models.
IM waiting for my 3rd Lectric bike. 1st was the LX, 2nd was rhe XP and coming at the wnd of July is the new One.
Is Lectric considering a model with flat foot technology, where the crank is placed forward a few inches to allow the rider to be able to place their feet on the ground while having full height for optimal leg extension when riding? This is a stability and comfort & safety feature only available in a couple other bike manufacturers.
I don't know what the future design plans are. I'm sure they will read this though and consider your suggestion.
question, can the handle bar be adjusted a little more forward? thank you for the excellent review
Yes. The Top portion can be adjusted slightly forward or backwards.
Great ebike 👍🏽 I’m going to order the belt drive long range battery.
That would be my pick too.
I have the original and love it. Tito, is there a way to loosen the large folding hinge? It’s really too difficult for me to fold in half. If it gets easier with more use, then I’m screwed. 🥴 Should I somehow lay it down and move it back and forth a thousand times?? 🤔 Any suggestions!!
Spray some lube in and around the hing then open and close it a few times. Also lube the sliding mechanism in the latch. Good luck.
I ordered the lavender haze model
Nice. Did you know that was Taylor Swift inspired? czcams.com/video/mkR_Qwix4Ho/video.htmlsi=F8YX4UxhsDOuPS2T
whats the top speed,
Very nice video when I added it to the cart the JW version for some reason it goes up to 999. I thought it was 899.
Did you add a comfort seat or any other option? I just tried and it was $899.
@@RVwithTito yes I just realize what happened. I added the bigger battery.👍🏽
I have a XP 2.0 and it has just over 2700 miles on it. Even with the suspension seat post and comfort seat it bothers my neck and I don’t ride it as much as I would like too.
What is the weight on the one you were showing?
Mine is pretty heavy with the front and rear rack and baskets.
I think the weight is 49 lbs. Your XP 2.0 weighs in around 65 lbs without the extras. The baskets also make it difficult to fold up. I did a weight and size comparison of those two models in my other XP Lite video which may help. czcams.com/video/WaaCB-DsW_A/video.htmlsi=hnuWBFK55ICB02kp&t=1146
Did you take the battery out before she picked up the bike or is it still in and the full 49 pounds?
I leave the batteries in.
I'm waiting for the 4.0 to come out. I'm hoping to see a 20ah battery, front and rear turn signals and a bright brake light. It'll probably cost $1595 but I'll buy it. Till then, I'll stay satisfied with my step through 2.0
I'm curious to see what is next for the XP 3.0. LECTRIC has so much to choose from now.
we ordered 2 JW blacks yesterday. How do we give you credit for this?
Just call them and let them know. It's not the first time. Thanks!
What e-bike lock are you using?
This is what I've been using for the last few years. amzn.to/4btTbhN
How are they with throttle only going up hills and the battery life
It will depend on the hill. It should push up a slight incline just fine. Most hills require a little pedaling, but not to the extent where you're working too hard. Of course hills will take more of a hit on the battery. If you press the power button until it reads CUR then you can monitor the amount of current it's drawing from the battery at any given time. It's very useful to monitor this so you can make riding adjustments and get the most from your battery.
Hello, I'm Carlos I own a XP3.0 e-bike. I have a question for you. I bought The bike Last year and I only have 210 miles. I notice every time I ride the bike once in a while I hear a clicking noise, Would you happen to know what's the problem?
Maybe your brakes are out of alignment. That's all that comes.to mind now.
I wish the Lectric XP Lite 2.0 Gates Belt Drive was offered in a Brown or silver color, they would show less dirt, and also look better. To only offer 1 color choice in this trim level is ridiculous.
Maybe in the future. I agree. It's a cool bike though. I may wrap it :)
Thats a cool bike, just needs smaller wheels and 1000w motor. Would pay for the upgrades.
Where can we test drive and see if short leg riders can fit comfortably?
If you're near Phoenix, you can stop by LECTRIC for a test ride. The XP Lite has the smallest frame of the LECTRIC eBikes. As a short leg rider, this will probably be the best model for you.
Nice
Why is?
It taken so long to get that bike in stock
Great info. I'm looking for an ebike for my wife. Also, I messaged you on your insty. Have you seen it yet? Keep up the great work!
For the love of god, why don't they move the key location. I hate where the key is on my 2.0. Would be better if the battery could be removed without folding the bike, but that's just a personal preference. Also, why don't they offer an option to replace the existing seat at the factory, it sucks that the stock seats are just being thrown away. And finally, they should up the allowable top speed to 22-24 mph.
hey what's the top speed?
20 Mph
@@RVwithTito thank you. I wish they made it faster. That’s so slow.
@@JoshDayTV That one is a little smaller than the others. So they've limited it to Class 2 at 20mph. The others can be set to class 3 (28mph) .
Why is that bike taken so long in stock?
Lectric trick their potential buyers by emphasizing thst the new XP Lite 2.0 is still cheap with all great otherwise upgrades. However $799 package is under ave market powered without installed accessories everybody today expect in this sub $1K price range. In order to get Lite 2.0 with competitive power one should upgrade fir $200 additionally, so having this e-bike for $1K. But for this $999 Lectric to be buyers definitely will get XP 3.0 step-through model which is much better equipped and accordingly heavier. Lectric buyers pay attention Lite 2.0 will be unreasonable more expensive and heavier once you select its right $999 package, but then you will have better equipped Lectric models and more convenient step-through to ride fir the sane price.
I was really hoping they went with a 10ah and a 14ah for it. The 7.8 battery kind of stinks.
Nice to have the 14Ah available now.
@@RVwithTito Do you see the need for a belt drive vs a chain drive?
@HeyItsAsmus I've only had chains and frequently clean and lube them to avoid rust since it lives on a bike rack. Picking up moving the bike especially when folded often gets my pants dirty from chain grime. I like the idea of a belt drive that has no maintenance and can just be hosed off. I'm looking forward to trying it.
It's not the best but not that bad. Electric Bike Reports measured about 20 miles on the highest PAS for the whole trip and 37 miles for the same trip on the lowest setting and with a light rider so I'd guess and average of around 28 miles.
@@robertd9850 That's about what I concluded when I tested the original XP Lite. My butt gave out before the battery did. Nice to have the long range battery now.
I’m wondering about their battery chemistry and what they’re doing to reduce the risk of battery fires.
I think the power delivery system on all of the new models, including this XP Lite 2.0, are UL Listed (UL 2849) for safety. The battery on this model carries a UL 2271 certification. Not many eBikes have these certifications. So kudos to LECTRIC for going the extra mile on this.
They use Lishen cells which are fairly decent. but not as safe/good as LG or Samsung
Needs fenders !
Do you guys think the belt drive is a must? Just don’t like black bike 😂.
It's a nice to have, not a must have. The standard model is perfectly suitable.
Are things on only 2 wheels not considered unsafe?
I mean, only vehicles with 3 or preferably 4 wheels have historically been regarded safe while those newfangled 2-weelers were just for dare devils who don't care about their safety.
It could be that you don't agree, that you find this a silly old idea. If so, why not consider an electric one-wheeler, a unicycle, EUC in short? They are far more practical than two-wheelers. They take up a lot less space, and you don't even need to fold it up like you need to do with a bicycle. You can just throw an EUC in the trunk of your car with one hand. No awkward finger pinching folding required. You can take an EUC into the grocery store or into your RV, making it unnecessary to lock it up. Best of all, you don't need to hold your hands on a steering wheel, not even one hand. Both your hands are free to carry whatever you need.
If you like the practicality of fewer wheels, take a look at an EUC 🙂
