Beautifully said. Pantomiming is a lot harder than people think. One slip up and the illusion is broken. For everyone.
This is actually a beautiful metaphor. I love the idea of creating illusions to link peoples imaginations.
I really need to teach more I have a class that I need to mime
I mean your realty need to teach more I have a class that I have to act mime
You really
I am a teacher who has a pantomime unit to teach. This video was very helpful! Thank you very much for posting.
Boy that's just what every teacher needs these days. Kids gonna be learning how to act up even better during class.
You have energy and the object you're about to make contact with has energy too...and once those two things meet that makes an illusion??? BRILLIANTLY said....Thank You
My theatre teacher made me watch this and it’s actually kinda cool
I think a lot about mime and it is more complicated than I thought.good job business insider
Been asked to potentially be a mime in a week and 1/2 from now on Bastille Day (GULP!) and came across this video and found it very helpful to get down some basics! I think my biggest takeaway is truly seeing the object there and manipulating or playing with it not like you're just miming but actually visualizing the wall or the teacup there. Also, that little action once your hand makes contact with the "wall" - these little subtleties are very good tips!! I don't think I'll pull it off "expertly" but I think whatever I do now will be better than what I would have done before seeing this video. Thank you for uploading it!
Love that art form!❤️
I know Bill! He came to Governor's School for the Arts in Tennessee back when I was 16. It changed my life. I knew from then on I wanted to be a physical theater performer.
Where is the rest? I learned more in this video about performing arts than I ever thought would be possible.
Tomorrow i will be turning 39 and I have decided that I want to be mime! 🙂
