We just parked at Flat Branch in July. We just posted a video about site 98 and two more to come on site 73. We wanted to camp at 72 but there were no reservations. Great video!
No. It is a backcountry site. You have to canoe about 3 miles to get to it. You just use the bathroom in the woods. You have to dig a hole and bury your feces at least 6 to 8 inches in the ground.
It was basically an island. The north side was separated by about 20 yards of waist deep water. I can see how it would be a peninsula if the lake levels were low.
Is campsite 72 on an island? I thought one of y’all said it was in the video but on the map it looks like it’s not. Basically just wondering if I can bushwhack my way from there to the lakeshore trail.
@@kenanhopkins9691 Have fun! Depending on what time of year you go I do know that they drop the lake level down in the fall/winter so there may be no water separating it from the main land.
This is just awesome. Looks like a great spot. Your wife is very pretty. Thanks for sharing this video
So beautiful and peaceful. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video, thanks for showing me campsite 72!

Does site 72 have any restroom?

Is this 72? On the permit map, 72 is a peninsula, not an island.

@@jamiern2 Thanks for replying! I was just trying to clarify if it was the same site I'm looking at reserving. Thanks.

about 10 yards
@@jamiern2 thanks! I’m always down for an adventure but my friends who I’m taking may kill me. 😀

Actually going to the same spot this weekend, would you say this ramp is good enough to drop a bass tracker in or not enough area
oh yeah! it is large enough for sure. we put in at flat branch boat ramp. there are actually 2 boat ramps there.
How long did it take to paddle from the ramp to campsite 72?
1.5 hours
@@jamiern2 we are heading there by canoe in a few days
