These are feeder anoles that are getting fed to my bearded dragons. There's nothing cruel about this.

@@strangepetscmty yes, I only feed anoles or mice every 6 months to a year. They eat every feeder insect and every green. They get a VERY VARIED DIET! Check out the new videos

@@GodGunsGills I have the p365XL, I should have said that because the length of the grip on the regular 365 was to short but same goes for the hellcat in my opinion. Whatever is more comfortable for each person is the winner, glad you like the Hellcat!

Anything can be used as a feeder
People make a big deal out of feeding live anoles to bearded dragons because pet stores and research doesn’t recommend so. People however don’t realize this is stressed as a caution because under certain circumstances the anoles will harm your bearded dragon. For example, if you feed a 4 inch anole to a 6 inch bearded dragon it will mess him up and could kill him. However, if you feed a 2 inch anole to a 20 inch bearded dragon it’s no different than him eating some mealworms and crickets. Think about how crunchy and hard to digest mealworms also are, and how much the total weight of a meal of crickets is to a bearded dragon. It is roughly equivalent to that of a small anole. So, it’s totally fine if the anole is parasite free and is much smaller.
Mealworms are fine to feed in a varied diet. A crickets hind jumping legs are way harder then a metalworking exoskeleton. Something to think about

They're both safe in a varied diet. I feed every feeder, and rotate daily. I never feed the same bug or green daily

Good thing this is a very old video. And I guarantee my dragons are healthier than yours. They live outside now getting real sun not fake uvb from a light
Also that basking bulb was a zoomed powersun uv light
It this time years ago I was running a basking uvb, tube uvb, and full spectrum light

great video how old do beardies need to be before feeding anoles and pinkie mice to the is it okay to try this with my 3yr old beardie my other 2 are around 1 1/2 yrs old that i rescued
They're all old enough! Remember this is a every few months type of thing, unless it's a gravid female or female that just laid.
I started giving my beardies small anoles around 4 or 5 months.

@@wak6486 it shouldn't be done on a regular base at all. A varied diet of bugs and greens is optimal. Big feeders every 3-6 months. It's not good for their organs and digestive system to feed big stuff like that on a regular

These animals will do this in the wild when given the opportunity. I also have a Solomon island ground boa that eats my captive bred anoles exclusively. No parasites, never impacted, has never been sick
