      Our leaders do not work for us but for The World Economic Forum and other elite global organisations. Our leaders are mere puppets controlled and manipulated by an invisible evil hand behind the curtain.
      United we stand, divided we fall.
      The people of Gaza and Israel are not the problem--it is our leaders who are creating all these conflicts.
      Is it possible that this was a false flag operation? Have you considered the possibility that Hamas and the Israeli government are both owned and controlled by the same invisible evil hand hiding behind the curtain??? Are we watching a puppet show with a script based on fear and hate? Could it be that victims on both sides are real but that the events have been staged?
      There are truly evil people on this planet who firmly believe that the end justifies the means.

      There is NO such thing as a moderate Left. What an absurd idea. The left is where Govt tyranny comes from, lol. The bigger Govt gets the Bigger YOUR problems get. The Socialist political spectrum is only a small FAR LEFT slice of the real political spectrum. Politics is "the administration of Govt." That is measured by SIZE AND SCOPE not the boots you wear. The problem with Europe is you have never tried anything outside of the Socialist political spectrum. You went from Monarchy's to Socialism in one nasty shite-filled step. Far right wing America under team George Washington (a real far right extremist) farts in Socialist Europe's general direction..... No right wing American in our entire History has ever advocated ANY flavor of European style Socialism. That would be the anti-American Democrats who are itching to lose another Civil War.

    Absolutely spot on.
    Everything that the current socialist politics have been pushing has led directly to this result, completely avoidable hardship from a non-stop series of catastrophic actions by our leaders who are either not smart enough to see it, or have ulterior motives to doom us while taking more than their share of the abundance the world has, as Brett mentioned.
    We need a complete overhaul of our leaders, we need intelligent, morally principled people, but preferably we should set the path for an end to politics as a career and end positions of power, we need decentralized government, I don't think we can trust people in power anymore. We have the technology for decentralized government, we just need the will to get those parasites removed from power and start working on that goal.

    Weinstein is mistaken that Western brilliance is based on abandoning ancestral identification in favour of metropolitan values. All of the great successes of the West came about during a time of European demographic dominance and quite a heavy dose of racial solidarity. Unfortunately Jews like Weinstein have used their disproportionate influence to undermine white racial solidarity. Jews had a big influence in undermining white immigration policies to America & Australia. The same is true in Britain to a lesser extent. Now that it is becoming clear that an alliance has formed amongst islamists, the left and "brown" identifying immigrants who view Jews as "white" and "priveleged" you will see them pivoting toward immigration control and civic nationalism. But if we are to survive as a coherant ethno-cultural group then European peoples need ethno-nationalism. We cannot compromise on that.

      Brett was so late to the party, and still talking some woke talking points himself when he first turned up, that his problems at Evergreen looked like the deserved consequences of his own ideology... that the creation had turned on it's creator, who was then running for help and changing his tune, but without ever acknowledging his own likely role in the build up of the situation.

      So the feminists, the LGBTQ crowd, and later the BLM mob, and all lefty causes joined forces, and the woke movement was born.
      Sure it was all there before, but in order to create the "baby" the various factions had to "have Sex" with each other.

    Bret Weinstein’s view of the Cosmopolitan West is interesting. The West is supposedly competing with the multi-polar world of BRICS. In the multi-polar world states cooperate according to their best interests. In the West, states are not homogenous and so, for example, a Palestinian minority in London can undermine the view of the UK to the point where the UK can make no meaningful contribution to the crisis. This is a separate problem from the fact that Western governments have simple been appallingly bad over a number of issues.

    I disagree with Bret's premise. I don't think "lineage vs. lineage displacement" is the threat or is even relevant right now. It's certain that the powerful are running roughshod over the powerless, and that governments are not acting in the interests of the people, but that doesn't have anything to do with lineage. "Reciprocity" just has a dark side, too. Like the kind of reciprocity that leads to "business arrangements" between politicians and weapons contractors. Like the kind of reciprocity that leads to entangling alliances and "strategic" violence in the hopes of maintaining global control over markets and resources. Lineage is but one of many ways to use the human instinct of tribalism to manufacture compliance for the agenda of the powerful. We "tribe up" in plenty of other ways besides lineage.

    Bret aptly describes the evolutionary bases for co-operation (shared genes & reciprocity). The problem is that many civilized people refuse to allow themselves to consider that their altruism and co-operation have any instinctual genetic basis -- insisting instead that altruistic and cooperative behavior is driven by reason.

    I think, according to Hazony, What Bret calls cosmopolitanism is really based on what Hazony calls the Liberal Construction
    Quote:
    ““In reducing political life to the individual’s pursuit of life and property, Locke did not merely offer an impoverished and unsuccessful account of human motivation and action. His political theory summoned into being a dream-world, a utopian vision, in which the political institutions of the Jewish and Christian world-the national state, community, family, and religious tradition-appear to have no reason to exist. All of these are institutions that result from and impart bonds of loyalty and common purpose to human collectives, creating borders and boundaries between one group and another, establishing ties to future and past generations, and offering a glimpse beyond the present to something higher. An individual who has no motives other than to preserve his life and expand his property, and who is under no obligations other than those to which he has consented, will have little need for any of these things. Without intending to, the dream-world offered by Locke’s Second Treatise rendered most of the Protestant order senseless and superfluous.”
    The cosmopolitan west is in severe danger because, by its liberal consent centric permissive nature, it doesn’t live within its means.

    But it's not necessarily about being "richer". And even in a wider sense being "richer" means being surrounded by our expanded "family".
    When a Labour Jewish MP complained about feeling like an outsider that's what she meant. You can have all the treasure that you like, but if you're surrounded by people that are different there will always be conflict of one kind or another, within or without.

      if the fourth political theory can become a bit nicer and more sanitized in terms of high standards in due diligence, including local metrics on human rights, then it would be a much better solution, because it claims that those who absolutely WANT to be different, need a territory of their own to be that and have that. This is because at the same time it refutes "universalism" and grants local moral sovereignty, allowing the different religions to function and develop their societies in good ways.

    When Brett talks about lineage he misses a crucial aspect of it. Parallel to that lineage runs culture and customs, common behaviours, values. This I believe is the biggest source of conflict when different lineages share or contest ownership. The cosmopolitan West has sought to ignore this in order to facilitate the global reciprocity Brett talks about but it is there. When an established culture finds that threatened by a significant outside group requiring the existing to change to accomodate there will be resentment. This is particularly relevant in the middle east since the establishment of Israel. I havent a clue how this will be resolved but it seems clear to me that offering Palestinians parcels of land where they have autonomy where once they had autonomy over the whole region is will not alleviate the resentment for many years yet. It is also relevant throughout Western Europe with increasing levels of immigration. Treating difficulties as purely about lineage prejudice and a need to be inclusive and tolerant misses the point. Until issues around the affect incoming cultures have on the existing are properly recognised and considered these problems are going to get bigger.

    • @howard5992
      @howard5992 Před 8 měsíci

      Cultural differences are secondary to material needs (or material desires ). As you note, the issue in the Middle East isn't primarily differences in lineage - it has more to do with land taking and displacement (and a many decades long history of attacks and counter attacks).

    We must expand on Brett's assertion that people rally around their genes when times get challenging. While that is true, the main problem is that people are self-segregating into tribes based on their ideologies. The Internet is The Tower of Babel. It brings people together and causes division at the same time.

    • @JimStanfield-zo2pz
      @JimStanfield-zo2pz Před 8 měsíci

      Ideology signals genes. Ideology doesn't come from nowhere. It is a signal, like personality, of some underlying genetic similarity. Genes are not just about race. Like people all different races can have 160 plus IQs or be 7 feet tall but on average nobody is that smart or that tall. The tall and smart people are closer to each other genetically in those specific dimensions of their identity than they are to their racial group. Same goes for ideology. Ideological segregation is genetic segregation.

    • @Brad-RB
      @Brad-RB Před 8 měsíci

      @@JimStanfield-zo2pz I agree to a point. While height, IQ, skin color, etc, are immutable traits that cannot be changed, people can change their minds. Not everything is determined by genes alone. We are not a blank slate, either. In the context of how human culture evolved, many different temperaments and personality traits were randomly distributed so that a tribe or clan would have a broader collective cognition and a more complete set of values. Similar to the division of labor, it is the division of perspectives. A survival strategy that worked quite well. Now, because of technology, people can ignore other perspectives through confirmation bias and self-segregation because they wrongly believe they do not need other points of view to survive.

    • @JimStanfield-zo2pz
      @JimStanfield-zo2pz Před 8 měsíci

      @@Brad-RB I never said genes alone determined any of those traits. I said they act as a signal of genetic similarity. Neither IQ, height, nor skin color are entirely determined by genetics, neither is ideology. But there is a signal through the noise being transmitted nonetheless. If someone is taller than someone else it may very well be that they received better nutrition as a child, but there may also be genetic difference at play. Regardless, if you select only the tallest people within a population you are going to get a subset of that population whose genetics give them some height advantage over the average.

    • @JimStanfield-zo2pz
      @JimStanfield-zo2pz Před 8 měsíci

      @@Brad-RB also this idea of a group's characteristics being selected or tuned by evolutionary pressure is not actually what is going on. Individuals within a group have evolved independently from each other to best take advantage of whatever resources exist within whatever social or environmental context they find themselves in. They are all essentially parasites feeding off of the productivity of each other. Just because high IQ people are born within a population, and those people make weapons, and then give those weapons to lower IQ people to go off and fight and die for the interests of the higher IQ people doesn't mean that the lower IQ people's genes are being preserved by the high IQ people. The high IQ people are just taking advantage of the resources available to them. I'm not saying that this is what is happening, but it's an analogy. Group characteristics are not being selected for. Individuals breeding pairs that best take advantage of whatever the social circumstances are being selected for. Perhaps the soldier would simply starve and die if he wasn't a soldier and the high IQ person maybe can't fight. But they are not actually directly producing the others offspring. They are diverging subspecies living in a symbiotic relationship with one another. Like a tapeworm feeding off a host. Or a bird pecking bugs off of the back of an elephant. They may both be contributing to the reproductive success of the other, but they are not actually reproducing the other one.
