La Marseillaise 1907 - Georges Mendel

Questo breve filmato costituisce un interessante documento storico
per l'uso di un apparato tecnico sperimentale di sincronizzazione
audio/video fra i corrispettivi strumenti, fonografo e proiettore.
Il cantante è Jean-Baptiste Noté, celebre baritono belga dell'epoca,
ma la registrazione sonora originale andò allora irrimediabilmente
perduta e quella quì riprodotta è frutto di un successivo ripristino.

'Casablanca' is where i heard this first. it was a fantastic scene when the French people sang “La Marseillaise” after Victor demanded the band to play it and Rick nods his head ok. the crowd outsung the Germans singing their song die wacht am rhein.
