I wish it was either a bigger kit or a part of a stuff pack, so we could also get medieval furniture. Thrones, wooden baths, bucket toilets, stuff like that

This is exactly why I voted for the other build kit option. I liked the medieval castle theme better, but I didn't think kits have enough items to do it justice
I hope we get to vote for stuff packs again. I was looking forward to this kit and, while the items included are very pretty, I had a lot more in mind in terms of furniture. Kinda upsetting now that the concept is in a kit we might be less likely to get a fleshed out version of this idea in the future.
I'm also worried about that... I hope they do something medieval or royal ish themed... I could even see if with a fairy pack if everyone's wanting to go that direction 😢 I seriously hope we get some more stuff ... I like everything this pack cane with but yeah I just wanted more and I am worried now it's a kit they'll scrap the idea for future packs
Old Windenburg fort turned into apartments? Like some sort of medieval ruins that got renovated. Maybe mix with modern? Because old and new is very Windenburg

This reminds me, there's a lot of churches that got converted to apartments near me. One is called the Greystone Apartments because the church was made of stone. It's pretty cool.
So I wasn't really planning on buying this one because I don't see building castles for my Sims to live in and wasn't feeling inspired to build castles for my channel. BUT, then I realised these could make really great community lots, too, and that opens a lot of new possibilities, so now I'm looking forward to playing around with it. Loved seeing the dirty swatches and the one with the moss and flowers in it - so pretty!
Windenburg would match.

I feel it would also look cool combined with Oasis Courtyard. With all the detailed arches. Would make some cool Mediterranean-themed fantasy castles.

I'm thinking a big, over the top home for the Goths with this kit. It and Vampires should make for something perfect for them. Hopefully someone puts one together.
The castle kit looks so good! I think I'm going to get quite a lot of use out of it actually, especially for community lots. I think the world's I'll end up using it the most is Windenburg, Forgotten Hallow and Britechester, but I think it could work amazingly with jungle adventure too. I'm excited to do some proper looking cathedrals too.

You could totally make a gorgeous castle or village on an off the grid lot type. And maybe gardens as well! I love this kit, but am also disappointed that they didn’t make it a game or stuff pack. Love your showcases and builds! = )

This is so fantastic I'm so glad that this is the kit they decided to give us. Recently I've been replaying Sims Medieval which I absolutely love and now I can reproduce some of the castles from there into my Sims 4 game.
The way I gasped at the first swatch with the moss! Guess I’m buying this kit sooner rather than later lol

I've spent the last three days sifting through the existing game assets to pull out stuff I want to use with the new kit. Not having furnishings in this kit has me torn.
the details are perfect. I mean for a kit it is worth the money. Some kits are like not worth wasting money on but this one is amazing. People have been making castles for YEARS and they finally give us castle stuff!

I think this'll be fun to use for my haunted residential lots. Seeing the old, mossy-looking wall swatches make me want to build haunted castles with this kit!

Im excited. This would go perfect with my vampire families! The vampire pack furniture wont look too out of place either.
The sims team have REALLY upped their texture game lately, wow. I’ve genuinely been so impressed with the quality of the meshes and attention to detail they’ve had in the past couple of packs, but this one is even better than I was expecting
Not sure whether I'll buy this kit, because I don't think I'll use it that much... But I do love how detailed everything looks and the swatches are great! I'm definitely looking forward to all the builds everyone's gonna make! :D

I can tell you right now, that Britechester is getting a new central library. It shall be much more Gothic than Georgian or Baroque. Also, I think Windenburg could use a romantic castle wedding venue. Honestly, I'm sure I will build some British Manor Houses, but this kit will work great for community lots. Museums, Libraries, Cathedrals for weddings, renovated restaurants, castle ruins in the middle of parks... I know I'm going to have a lot of fun building with it, as I have been wanting true Gothic windows forever! Do we want more? Sure, but let's not let that stop us from playing with the tools we have.

Like everyone has said who likes this kit it would have been amazing as a stuff pack for furniture or…an expansion at a later date with fairies and a cool looking mediaeval world 😅 even a royality system that everyone has been after
I really thought I would not like this from the pictures. (Because I love medieval stuff but it seemed so underwhelming). BUT your video presented it so well! And these swatches! I will buy it! I love it!

There's a gargoyle on Paisley Abby that's modelled on the alien from Alien. Every now and then people question how the monks predicted it. Forgetting it was a competition winner, in the 80's, to replace the damaged ones. It looks amazing though.

I think these items will work well for builds in Windenburg and even Henford on Bagley doesn't necessarily have to be castles

I can see these pieces being used in building a church I think some castles have their own private church but I'm very obsessed with House Flipper and house flipper two but when I do get back into the Sims I might build a Mot and Bailey Castle

I like it. It would be good for making some really cool churches or cathedrals. Also for making older buildings and houses not necessarily castles

You could do a Gothic-style church that's been renovated into a single-family home or apartments!

Does anyone know if the castles shown in the kit advert can be downloaded? This is the first kit I've bought because I think it has great potential. I'd love the "Bust the Dust" kit, too, but im not sure if the bugs have been fixed.
I tried building a monastery converted into apartments and it just highlights how bad I am at picturing castles haha

I am loving the sims team adding dirtier swatches to things, the game has really needed some less clean things
It's an 7/10 for me. I like that they offered several swatches, including black and white, and used those swatches in all the items. The design is mostly good imo. I was however very disappointed because they made the heraldic crest cute/ humorous and offered no option for a "serious" castle. Same for the so-called gargoyle. I'll definitely use most of the stuff though. I do however think that this medieval/ gothic/ storybook theme still suffers, compared to other styles released by Maxis themselves. (Of course, anyone using CC can find a large variety of items.) I know this was voted by Simmers and it was my choice too. But it also feels like Maxis tried to "patch" some previous releases that looked incomplete like Vampires. I wonder if future kits will also follow the same method.
it's kind of sad they didn't add the classic seat castles have on the inside of windows or a new secret door with this kit. If you are building a castle you could make thick stone walls to make it look more realistic by making a 1 tile wide room and using the platform tool to "fill the wall", you could also leave parts of the wall hollow to make a secret passage
I wish this was a stuff pack or game pack.

I am going to look for separated cc for this. I do not want all of this stuff in my game as I'm not into medieval, estate, or castle builds. But I very badly want those build terrains. The platform trim, the flooring, the wall paint, and even the stairs are soooo pretty! They did a great job with the detailing in this kit. But i really dont want any of the other items whatsoever. I hope i can find someone who separated just the 3 things I want >_

I feel this kit would be great if it weren't just one piece of The Sims Medieval. Why don't we have a royal family? We already have suits of armor in this game, plus decorative suits of armor, spellcasters, etc, but, if we actually tried to make a Medieval challenge of something in this game, it would be constantly interrupted by Sims using their mobile phones.
The reason why I didn’t vote for this kit was because I would have much rather preferred to see it in a larger pack. I feel like a castle theme is too big of an idea for a kit, too little items, whereas with a gamepack etc you’d have so much more to work with.

im really disappointed about this kit and hope they end up making the other one too 😢 i feel like we have so much traditional build/buy stuff already, and i feel like a lot of what this kit offers we have similar of. still, im looking forward to seeing what you make with it!

But I would not call that Goth Galore kit goth. Its the suburban mom idea of goth. Mall goth is more goth than whatever that kit is
This is nice, but I still wouldn't buy just because I've already built a castle/bake shop that I was quite pleased with just with base game and jungle adventure I think. Two things I got for the luxurious price of free (legally) 😁
I like the swatches on the walls and floors but overall it's just too niche and not versatile enough.. still sad the futuristic one didn't make it. I was already dreaming up trailers and airstreams to build with it..
