At The end before you end at the terminal make sure you have the Iron Falcon ship as your main ship, this way you can claim more, and scrap them to create your own custom ship.... or use multiplayer and a group of you scrap and claim different parts, duplicate them and share them.

No Man's Sky is an action-adventure survival game played from a first or third person perspective that allows players to engage in five principal activities: exploration, survival, combat, trading and base building. The player takes the role of a specimen of alien humanoid planetary explorer, known in-game as the Traveller, in an uncharted universe. They start on a randomized planet near a crashed spacecraft towards the edge of the galaxy and are equipped with a survival exosuit with a jetpack, and a "multitool" that can be used to scan, mine and collect resources as well as to attack or defend oneself from creatures and hostile forces. The player can collect, repair, and refuel the craft, allowing them to travel about the planet, between other planets and space stations in the local planetary system, engage in space combat with alien factions, or make hyperspace jumps to other star systems. While the game is open-ended, the player may follow the guidance of the entity known as The Atlas to head toward the centre of the galaxy.

It worked like a charm. I also obtained my S class Sentinel ship thanks to Hero2U. Thank you guys!
I discovered this technique by accident when ship fabrication first became available, because my approach was to find eleven crashed ships at a time and salvage them all at once, and, being impatient, I was switching to the next ship before the first ship was removed from my inventory. I believe this works because of a race condition in the code; interacting with the terminal pre-empts the code that would have removed the just-scrapped ship from your inventory. I believe this bug can also be used to get unlimited storage augmentations and upgrade modules.
You are correct about storage augmentations. I just did it with an S Class Solar.

To save time and risk, once you have one of each part, you can just duplicate the parts with the portable refiner trick. Just did this myself.

So I could take all the Golden Vector parts and give it a stealth paint job and a nice supercharge layout.
Just what I was thinking, too...
Once you have the new ship parts you can land on a planet, put them in a portable refiner then duplicate them the usual way by placing additional refiners over the top of the first refiner then destroying then 😎
I Only did this With the Iron Vulture cuz it’s One if a kind and i can’t get anymore, So I Made myself Iron Vulture parts and Duped 11 of em 👍 Don’t judge me, i completed the expedition and i deserve it for all the work it was lol

Nope... the Starborn Runner, Utopia Speeder and the living ships don't get scrapped.
Got the hang of doing this with the gamepad, even though I'm on PC - maybe we could pool some parts and let others who get involved in Light No Sky Season 2 have them? Good idea or bad, do you reckon?

I messed up like I said at the start... I ended the expedition in my shuttle.
I couldn't get the ship either via the new terminal in the Nexus since I started the Expedition the old-fashioned way that doesn't use the terminal in the Nexus. If you don't start the Expedition via the terminal in the Nexus you can't end the Expedition that way. So the terminal is just a blank, empty, useless piece of set-dressing if you start the expedition the old way.

Umm. so why did you do this ?? So you can create one part on another ship type? I am new to this new space station and ship part thingy.
This ship and its parts are the new ship... you get one from the expedition... but it has 3 parts.... that's why 😉
They're 3 ship types explorer , fighter and hauler each have 4 inputs at the ship vendor buy hyperdrive the other 3 parts must be modules of same type of ship ,hauler and fighter need hull , engine and wings and explorer need hull left wing and right wing , explorer wings can be salvage and placed on opposite side .
I speculate by the design of sentinel ships seem they mite also become compatible with fabricator in future updates !.
Organic ,exotic and shuttles cannot be fabricated because of moving parts and lack of parts to be made compatible with the engine parts model !.
You do know that there will patch it. So do it before it gets patched everyone.
Hello Games really needs, in my view, to patch out the old way of starting Expeditions that by-passes the new terminal in the Nexus. That way, there would be no need to have to look for and use hacks to solve issues (even though the issue in my case was down to a blunder on my part).
@@First_Chapter They should simply let one buy a ship from the quicksilver guy as often as you like if you have nanites and ship slots. This is really pissing me off.
