Rudd's timing is superb. He is much better than a machine.
It's a shame he has had his fair share of problems in the past, but the man is impeccable.

Hell yeah Ballbreaker is always a top ten album for me. I don’t think it gets enough praise and is oftentimes overlooked

I love how rudd purposely gives the hi-hats room to breath, how he misses them here and there to really give the song a more natural feel and groove. Such a good drummer
You know Slade layed down the tracks to this album. You can tell it has his influence with different drum patterns and fills.
@@kenouif phil plays the songs quite differently here with how he hits the hi-hat and whatnot. It deffinitely has his influence but I can mainly hear phil in how the drums go
@@kenouif where did you hear that? I’ve never heard that Chris Slade had anything to do with Ballbreaker. I know he participated in Big Gun, but it was my understanding that he was let go so Phil could rejoin prior to Ballbreaker. Besides, I feel like this sounds like Phil Rudd trying to prove himself to the band as being worthy of returning to the group. This particular tour and album really showcase Phil’s talents as a drummer imo.

Ballbreaker is probably their most underrated album and easily one of the most underrated albums of the 90's.

Ballbreaker, Stiff Upper Lip and Flick of the Switch - their most underrated albums. The songs are terrific and should be played way more often!
I'd gladly pay a couple thousand bucks to hear them play "Hail Caesar", "Hard as a Rock", "This House is on Fire" or "Stiff Upper Lip" again instead of the snorefest that is "The Jack"

Everyone talks about Angus but it's Malcolm who you need to listen too, comes up with some of the most badass riffs. Angus is still great but I personally like Malcolm better.

Yes, almost every song by AC/DC is best performed at a live concert (before a paying audience, not so much the crowds they get in for the "official video") and the sound production on this is top notch, I love it, it really packs a punch and you can truly appreciate the bass and rythm guitars. In fact sound production on more modern, post 2000, videos is not nearly as good.

I do like the sound quality on this. The bass is so solid and punchy, but Angus' screaming guitar is also fully rendered. Great show!

Damn, Brian was on fuckiin fire during the 90s, more gravelly voice and more extreme. Ballbreaker is my favourites album and Hail Caesar one of the best songs besides Burnin Alive, The Furor and Hard as a Rock.

I remember buying this CD in Sept. 1995, I was 20, blasted it for months and months. Used to play Burning Alive while warming up on guitar before my band showed up to practice. LOVE this album. BTW, the original cover that Marvel Comics made for them was much better than the one they used IMO.
