Great podcast! Quick question - When all the badminton players train 5 days a week and have very similar skills and footwork, what separates a top 10 badminton player from one in the top 30 and top 50 and top 100.... they all seem to be just as good as each other and train just as much?!
I love the discussion around the Danish badminton system and your thoughts on growing the sport. Compared to Canada, Denmark is leagues ahead of us. I agree that more player exposure would be great for fans to see and would definitely expose the sport to more people. After all, this is an entertainment business and with more money comes more opportunity to build around the sport itself. Hopefully, with you doing more of these, other top players will think of doing the same so we can really see badminton take it to the next level.
I'm so addicted to this podcast that I can't wait for the next one. You both are doing a great job! 💯❤️I love your genuine answers for the questions. Thanks for giving us good quality content. I feel like I'm learning new important things about badminton from this podcast series. Keep it up! Upload more and more content.🙏❤️

The badminton experience was nice😉. I hope you don't move out of Denmark too 😢but I really appreciate your understanding and rivalry with Viktor axelsen. I will be looking forward to your badminton experience with Anthony ginting and the vlog episode for your new apartment and Thanks for using my intro this time I really appreciate it 👍🙏
Hans, could u tell us your experience during your short training sessions with Coach Dato' Misbun Sidek few years ago in Malaysia? And how does his short training system & his advice help your badminton career so far?
Just watched the whole thing your subjects today are very interesting!! At the end when you mentioned getting a lot of views for the last podcast I think it is because of the very good thumbnail/picture on the video so that more people who see it will click because they see the players faces and it looks very clean and organised and professional. So maybe for future podcasts and maybe even this one you can edit the thumbnail picture and out images relevant to the topic that will attract people so they click. Anyways love the podcast thank you for the great content Anders.
@@AndersAntonsen_official it is perfect! It is good because it shows the big subject of the video (Viktor) and also you picked a very good picture of him which shows emotion, if you had put Viktor when he is just playing a net shot or Viktor when he is just looking at the camera then it probably wouldn’t get as much attention so the picture you chose is actually really really good. Also thanks for listening to my suggestion seeing this put a massive smile on my face because you are a big idol of mine :) keep up the great content 👍
Been a fan of both of you for a long time now. Been a couple years since I last lived the shuttlecock lifestyle but I’ll always keep my deep love for the most beautiful, still underrated sport in the world! Keep it up with the podcast content guys!
Really nice show again Anders & Hans, always looking forward to hearing you both speak, either together or individually, espcially for a badminton fan from Malaysia who may not know much about what's going on elsewhere, helps fill the gaps!
So refreshing to hear from two of the most level headed minds in badminton right now. The degree of honesty and self reflection is especially appreciated 👏👏👏
This is actually my first time listening to you guys and I really enjoy it. Sometimes I really feel like we, the fans of badminton, doesn't really know what happen in the sports except from what happen on court, so anything that could gives us a glimpse on what's happening inside badminton and how players react to it, it's welcome. Anyways, regarding of your preferation that one day badminton could follow the way how tennis run, I'm really curious on how's your take on the player's council. it is quite a prominent subject inside the sports of tennis, with many stands on these group's side and on the other's too. Do badminton have player's council? if so who's heading the council and how does it run along with the sports of badminton? thanks very much guys, keep up the good work ;-)
Listening to you I really feel Anders you might feel Viktor has been a bit selfish going to Dubai and not thinking too much about the impact on the DK training camp. Go on just admit it, speak from the ❤️…..
Vittinghus could have started a badminton international podcast (not using a personal name, but more to be like Badminton Insight by Mairs and Moore from GB. We would like to hear players' voices from around the world.
First time listening to your podcast. It good to hear a bit about Danish system and you thought about how the sport will grow. One thing I'm always curious about , and I hope you guys can take it up in the next session: How is the Danish training system and structure different to the Asians to produce world class players? Why can't other European countries do/achieve the same?
You guys are good at questioning and answering questions. As it seems that Hans is really good at commentating now, i really think that Anders could be a tv commentator too once you retired. Anders seems comfortable in enggaging in conversations and getting better and better every time. Of course it's still a long way to go but you might think about being a commentator too in addtition of doing trade/ krypto in the future undertakings Anders. You two could be the next Gill and Morten on astro. ☺️Good luck! Love from fans in Malaysia.
I just started to play badminton as an adult with friends & family. It is very fun! What type of training do you suggest for new adult players? What is a good practise schedule between training skills, weightlifting, endurance training etc.
Awesome episode. You guys are great for defending your female teammates. It is really frustrating when you get called for a service fault multiple times. I can relate to how they felt.
I would love to make suggestions on content ideas: Tbh I don't care too much about tutorials, there are already plenty on yt. What I am really interested in is: - I am wondering why the Danish badminton team is the only European team which brings out so many top level athletes. Denmark is the only successful Eropean country in badminton, all others are in Asia and India (maybe answer this on the Badminton Experience) - I would love to see more videos of you actually training (no tutorials). Give us some nice angle badminton practice games against e.g. Gemke. (make a vlog) - Give us more info about your training routine, which methods you are using at which time in order to bring optimal performance in competitions. You said it will be hard for Victor to build a good training center in Dubai, what makes the danish so good? (make a vlog) I'd love to know this stuff :D Your content is great already, btw!
Nice chat guys. H.K.S.V. will allways be a hero for his level of engagement and entertaining playing style + the final single in Thomas Cup against Indonesia, don't forget that! And A.A. has vital important qualities that Viktor does not master, which is understanding the nature of the current gameplay and the ability to adjust playing style accordingly + a stronger psykological mindset. Yeah, take that right in Your faces.....
I'm sorry anders and hans, my favorit badminton player is still Gill Clark, but hang in there, i'm starting to put your podcast as my most favorite badminton ppdcast
heeey thanks for answering my question! i'm a miss and not a mister though, guys 😅 good ep, i have to say, answers a lot about the situations we had in the past week. keep it up 🙌
This is my first time writing comments😀😀 I really enjoyed this badminton experience. It was so nice to listen to your thought about Viktor, and more about other issues. Thank you for all the videos and I really enjoyed many things from you. Waiting for the next episode😁😁from a Korean teenager who loves badminton and AA👍👍
Absolutely agree on the self promotion part. We rarely get a glimpse of our favorite players lifes and characters. Almost all national organisations and also BWF are doing a rather poor job in promoting individual players and thereby the sport as a whole. Keep going BOYZ!!!
Well Anders & HK, really enjoyed the episode. Keep it going pls. I believe it might be easier to keep up if your videos were each 10 mins for example and only having one major topic for 10 mins. It can be hard listening to 45 mins in one go. I know i can also listen to your long videos in different parts. Just believe it might be more attractive if you pup up more often on my front page having uploaded something new..
Anders, I agree with you about the benefits of being a bit uncomfortable during practice. When I was a young musician and guitarist, there was another guy from my class who was my rival. We wanted to get to the practice rooms before the other. Log in more hours than the other. Sign up for more master classes than the other. Have more performances than the other.
AA I actually think you could be a World class mens doubles player. HK could have been a very good mix doubles player, had he switched earlier, I think...
Amazing episode Anders and Hans! Thanks so much for this podcast - I'm hooked! Would love to know your thoughts on Badminton Highlight videos. Specifically, do they positively help impact the popularity of the sport? As always, looking forward to the next episode!
About the whole Axelsen-Dubai story: Of course, its fair to say that not being able to train with someone like Axelsen is a loss for the danish national team. However, in my opinion, the actual loss is on Axelsens side, because obviously he also can't train with the national team either. Of course he'll have his own personal coaches in Dubai. But none of them can push him as hard as the players in the national team. Anders is right at the beginning when he says, that someone like Axelsen is irreplacable. But there aren't many players like Anders, Hans and Gemke either. As Hans pointed out, the Danish national team still has many great players and a great training environment. However for Axelsen the level of competition he'll face in training will drop significantly. One the one side, I can fully understand the decision to relocate: Axelsen has won pretty much every important tournament in Badminton (All England, World Championship, Olympic Gold and many many Super Series/World Series titles) and became a father one year ago. Furthermore he pointed out his allergie issues in the danish summer. So from this perspective, I can fully understand his decision to relocate to gain more independence from training duties and maybe to put his family over training. However, I will never understand and support the decision to move to a country like Dubai, where government critics get arrested and tortured, people are not allowed to speak and live freely and leaders do not respect basic human rights.
Yes sir .so thankful for AA for showing us what happens behind the tournament and practise sessions and many more . Just a suggestion The lighting on Hans side is a little low
I heard if Viggo wants Anders and Gemke join move to Dubai too. And coincidentally Anders said in previous vlog if wanna move from ARG (someone reminds me to keep secret) to somewhere else. Please dont leave HK alone. Really appreciate it 🙏
wait i think i'm too late, but you know VIKTOR AXELSEN has a little same character with KEVIN SANJAYA, they are ambitious athletes and well they are not quite like to be pretending a fun people in the front of camera. but in daily life with their friends, of course they are very good and kind person.
Good podcast 👍, but maybe you don't know that the daddies ( Hendra / Ahsan ) is a profesional player too. They pay their accomodation (ticket, hotel, etc). Although, they still practice with national team, and be a lead for MD. I believe you can take the role Victor left for you Anders You're a great player too 😁 Can't wait to see you wear Olympics medal
I have a question for a future podcast Japan has the most top ranked Women's Doubles pairs, Indonesia is the same for Men's Doubles and China is for Mixed Doubles. What is it that makes these countries so specialized in that discipline? Is it a certain tactical advantage/piece of knowledge or is it a different way of training? The dynamic between you and Hans is fun to watch by the way and makes the podcast serious but at the same time funny
Hans : " why do u hate him so much? Lol 🤣 Anders : "I think he does better when he's alone" - great answer 👍 For me, rivalry between Anders and Peter is strictly professional and it's good for both of them because both are great players. No issue at all ☺️👍

Good job. Best episode so far.
It's more like a loss toward the Danish team. Like the junior Ms of Denmark could really use Viktor as a sparing partner.
Interesting viewpoints on the Axelsen situation since all Ive heard are from media.
I think that as players start so young that they have little commercial acumen. Nobody teaches them how to think of money but expects them to know.
Did they check this device to control the serve height? Probably it was badly set up?
Amazing 👍
