Hi, I'm Missy! I'm a wife, mom and Nanny to my favorite people in the world, and this is our story of how we're raising our 6-year-old grandson on our 2-acre homestead in a tiny blip on the map in East Tennessee. We're homeschooling, gardening, cooking up a storm and canning/freezing everything I can get my hands on to fill my prepper pantries and freezers and bringing y'all with us for the adventure!
Thank y'all for watching and be sure to hit that Subscribe button! We'd love to have you be part of our journey and you don't want to miss out on any of our craziness!
Such a cutie grandson!! God bless you all! ❤
Thank you so much!
That sounds like a money scheme and also he must have had allergic reaction. I’m completely worn out after spending hours in hospital with my daughter. When I left yesterday she signed herself out against medical advice! The nurse said nothing they could do to keep her. So now, she’s back with the druggie that almost killed her and she is still sepsis. What does a mom do? Hope your son continues to feel better.
Sending some prayers your way🙏🏻
Linda your in my prayers ❤🙏IHOPE God will intervene and she gets help
Blessings and prayers.
That drug sounds awful but ketamine is known to make people freak out!
Prayers for you all!❤
Prayers and ty for being so brave to share such a personal story! 🙏♥️
Praying for your son 🙏
God's blessings to you & your's. I hope Joseph keeps on the road to recovery & stays being clean & sober.
God bless yous.
🙏🏻 ❤️
So sorry that you have had to go through all this. I sure hope your son can stay clean for the rest of his life. Your grandson is so cute!! 💙🙏
Thank you so much!
We mothers want to fix what is bothering or hurting are kids no matter how old they are but there are something’s we can’t fix and that’s when it’s hard and heartbreaking. I don’t believe in good vibes but I do believe in a good God and prayer. Praying for God to give you strength and your son’s deliverance from Drugs.
Prayers for you all!! I pray he is going to be able to stay clean for good !!🙏❤️
Love your channel! Your grandson is such a cutie pie, absolutely adorable 😊
Awww thank you 😊
So sorry Missy, really hope things get better soon. X
Thank you, my friend 🧡
Your grandson is super cute. I'm really sorry that your son had to go through that. It sounds like it was a really scary experience. I'm praying for you all 😇
Sending you much love and prayers for your son. You stay strong for yourself and for your family, and remember this too shall pass 👩❤️👨 🙏 💞
What a traumatic experience for all of you! Ketamine infusions are hard enough to go through let alone all the side effects from that other one. I was prescribed ketamine infusions for chronic nerve pain after radiation therapy. It scared me that much they needed to sedate me.
I came across your channel tonight, so new subscriber here from Australia 🇦🇺.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I pray your son finds the strength to fight this awful addiction and wakes up to the reality of what it’s doing to himself and his family especially his mama.
Please never apologise for your tears, frustration, or your anger or how you’re saying it. We love our children and do not understand where the hell their head is at. I know I was in denial for a bit, I think because I didn’t want to believe what I was seeing. Your channel is very much needed for us mama’s So thank you. You’re an amazing loving mum. Love and hugs to you. 💕😊
Thank you so much! I needed to hear this today. 💜💜💜
Quite a story there missy. I am glad your son is feeling better. Kinda weird the treatment centre did not mention the NAD treatment when he paid for the K treatment in full. Seems a bit shady.
That's what I said. I didn't like that
You are an amazing grandma and mom! You have a place in my heart friend ❤
🥰🥰🥰
😊😊 I'just hope and pray he finds a treatment that is right for him,The money hes spent out my goodness,Ihope he finds something that works for him, I truly believe he wants this to be over❤
I'm so sorry your family is going through this Missy. Sending hugs & prayers.
I am enjoying your channel and your talks. Thank you so much.
Glad you like them!
It wouldn’t get my stamp of approval either. I also looked it up online. Seems like it’s a massive B3 vitamin infusion or injection. I have become nauseous after taking a B vitamin complex on an empty stomach. I can just imagine how he felt. Thank you for sharing this.
You're very welcome! 💜💜
What a roller coaster ride. X.
Hello, thankyou for sharing. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
👋💜
🙏💜 for you and family.
Thanks for sharing!!!
In the UK they usually use methadone it's not great but side effects seem much less aggressive once they get the right dose sorted...hoping and praying for you and your family...hang in there missy you and your son will get through this because he sounds like he's ready and he's got one hell of mom supporting him ❤❤❤
😘😘😘
Oh Missy, you are goin through it! First off let's just say how cute that darn kid is!! The light in all this crazy. We have never tried this kind of treatment, she has been on suboxone and and it has been working for her for years. I have seen signs of seeking in other ways tho, always got the evil eye watching. lol Heck with that treatment, let's hope this was all worth it.
Aiden is definitely my little light in all this. Today is week 2 after he finished his treatments and so far so good! 💜💜💜
Tranquilizer im sure you've read up on it,wow to make him so sick
I love your channel 💕
Thank you! 💜💜
Sounds like this NAD is a lot like an “antidepressant” nobody knows for sure if that works. Not like u can draw blood to check for a low or high #. In rehab I was given a Vit B supplement.. all the B’s.
Nxt time do not pass go just go to the er.
Detox from any opiate is that intense.
You are doing a great job with all you have going on
Thank you! I'm trying 💜
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Makes you wonder what is in that,To do him like that 😢
I started taking NAD with resveratrol after getting hit on a crosswalk by a car. I had significant memory loss from a concussion. I order it from Amazon and take about 1500 mg daily. I quit taking it when I got Covid and simply forgot about it....was very sick, surprised I am still alive. I started taking it this year again due to lack of energy and I cannot eat sugar and have a ton of yardwork this year. I love it. It is naturally occuring in the body and decreases with age. I don't go to the doctor, too expensive.... it cost me $15,000 just to have them tell me I had a broken leg and misread some xrays, a no shit sherlock experience for sure. It costs me about 50 dollars every 90 days. It just gives me a bit of get up and go. It and phosphatidyl serine have also improved my brain impairments. Supplements, love them. What I did not take, were the painkillers the doctors offered to write scripts for.
I thought you were talking about naltrexone at first. NAD is a supplement I think. I want to say it's a precursor to glutathione but I can't remember.
Oh my gosh is he a cutie pie!!!
He’s such a ham ❤
Oh yes he is!
@@FromtheHoller he made my day today !!!
Hi I came across your channel and the the title of got my attention about the NAD but I got info maybe it help my sister is a RN in emergency and on her off time she works at a clinic doing those IV infusions and was tell about the reaction your son had and she said yes is but usually happens if it’s giving to fast and if they slowed it down it should have subsided but it’s a helpful med and I told her how much they charge and and that’s a good price cause in the clinic she works out they chrg 1000 each treatment so I hope this info helps and ease up your feeling but I would have come unglue also please don’t upset with giving u info
Thank you 💜
Scary! I have to go back in your videos to aee why katamine treatment. I had this for a recent procedure and i was totally weirded out. I saw people in my room but couldn't react.
I'd say that was very scary
I wanna tell you, I am so proud of you for never giving up on your son🥺 My Mom was never there for me..Today makes 470 days clean & I never thought I’d be this far 🙏🏻
We Got This 🙌🏻
Way to go!! I'm so proud of you 💜💜💜
Thank You! I know how bad your son wants to be clean…We don’t wake up saying “we wanna be drug addicts”.Fighting the demons in our heads is harder than what ppl realize…Sorry for multiple comments but it angers me to read ppl’s comments that think they know everything! 🙄
@nosyb948 oh I know!
Praying for your family ❤️🙏🤗
OMG, that is so frightening! I hope your son is ok!! I never trusted this kind of therapy. This is exactly why. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, either. It's mushrooms and is not to be trusted, period!
Btw, I think you are a great mother ❤
Thank you so much! He's still a little flustered today, not much energy to do anything. Other than that, he's doing well
In my local community in the UK, an adult son was convicted for killing his mum while on ketamine. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison and spotted in local newspaper.
Is ketamine pcp?
Ketamine as provided as a therapy is not even remotely similar to when a person buys it illicitly and abuses it. Noone knows exactly what is in street Ketamine and it’s used to excess and with other substances too. Don’t compare it to it being used as medication in a therapeutic setting. It scares people from using it to get well.
It is not PCP. It is a short acting dissociative anesthetic. Found useful for remodeling neuronal activity and helps people heal from long standing problems with their mental health that leads to serious depression and substance use disorders.
Prayers to you Mama. It is scary but he is trying newer medical treatments and therapy that many people don’t understand. NAD didn’t agree with him but he should move ahead with therapy. I have definitely heard that NAD has that side effect. 🙏💕 Carry on with the healing journey!!!
@@Catherine-Terra phew !! Yes when our kiddo fell off the jungle gym they gave him ketamine to set his arm. He was 3. Just making sure they weren’t the same thing is all
I need major help with groceries and what’s a good price on meats
I have several videos about building up your pantries and freezers on the cheap. I think the playlist is called Prepper Pantry
@@FromtheHoller ooh cannot wait to check those out. Thank you 🙏🏻
That's a waste. It's not like your son has to be weaned off any substance like a serious heroin problem. His addiction is psychological and emotional. I admire the way he is willing to pay the price both financially and physically to get well. Y'all hang in there!
👍
@@FromtheHoller, He's NOT addicted to opiates? I thought it looked like that. The only one worse, are the benzodiazepines. You can die coming off of those, or alcohol. Opiate withdrawal can be stopped with kratom. a natural substance. Most do suboxone, which continues the addiction at a lesser level, it's just legal. I'm sorry for what you're going through.
@edie4321 his drugs of choice are heroin, meth and pills
@@FromtheHoller, I used kratom to successfully leave western medicine, who had me on a plethora of drugs,. I had been subscribed high doses of opiates, Adderall, Benzodiazepines, Cymbalta, all drugs with horrible withdrawals with kratom. It's something to look into, when you do, remember the medical industry/Big Pharma, doesn't approve as it's from nature, so they can't patent it. I pray my comment stays, for you to read.
Maybe withdrawal symptoms??
Fever?
Restless legs?
Sweats?
Flu symptoms ?
Withdrawal
I don't think so. He's not withdrawing from anything
@@FromtheHoller I have a gut feeling it’s bigger than he’s letting on.
Prayers for yall
❤❤❤
Its probably cartel trolls
❤😊
Was he not warned about ketamine withdrawal .
Not to my knowledge. This wasn't withdrawal. He was there for his last ketamine treatment. They added the NAD to that treatment
He's a cutie
Thanks 😊
😢❤❤
Just could it be something else?
Look up withdrawal from heroin/fentanyl just in case.
Sounds like as a former addict he had to get home for a hit of something & sure he’s good now.
Make him take a pee test
Your an awesome mom
I don't need to make him take a test. He took one at the treatment facility and he was clean. I saw the test, actually laid eyes on it. They wouldn't have given him the treatment had he tested dirty!
@@FromtheHoller awesome
No
No what?!
Can’t your grandson be left at home with a family member or a child sitter? Hanging out in a car for 3 hours is no fun for a child his age. Then to make matters worse he sees your son in distress. Of course you didn’t know this would happen but every time after therapy he is subjected to whatever is going on. It doesn’t have to be verbal even though little pictures have big ears. Children pick up fear etc. whatever you and your son are feeling. You don’t have to say anything but he is impacted by the non verbal too.
No he can't. We all work for a living but I'm lucky enough to be able to take mine wherever I need to. And he wasn't just sitting in a car for 3 hours. We went to Krispy Kreme for a little doughnut treat and watched them make the doughnuts. I'm not new to raising children so I know how to make things fun for them on trips like this. As far as seeing his dad "in distress", it was no different than him seeing me or Paps getting very sick, which has happened. He knows people get sick, as does he. Don't try to make more out of this than what it is.
@@FromtheHoller Obviously, you are doing the best that you can. At the end of the day, Ayden has a lot on his emotional plate for a child his age. Kids are resilient though.
And you most definitely have a lot on your plate. In fact, it’s overflowing.
Many hugs Missy! Critical people should use common sense and decency. We cannot shield little ones from knowing things. Your a strong momma and grandma ❤
@cynderella5627 💜💜💜
Aiden 😂
You seriously must be pulling your hair out over this!!!
Ain't he a mess?! 🤣🤣🤣
He’s a lovely little boy ❤
Has he ever tried Suboxone from a psychiatrist? I’m new & not sure what his drug of choice is
He did try that years ago. His drugs of choice are many...heroin, meth, pills, etc.
@@FromtheHoller Idk how God continues to save me. I knew 20yrs ago if I touched that I’d be in the ground. My bro was 43 when he passed of an od. He did those drugs as well. Drugs will make u lie, sell your kids, anything.
Just ask him to take a UA and see what he says to you.
God I pray he isn’t lying to you.
As a former just Vicodin abuser I could con the con artist! I’ll be praying something hard!!!
I wonder what reaction ketamine and heroin have when used together.
God forbid anything ever ever happens to anyone you are with call an ambulance dont ask them please just do it
I am only saying this because it is iserious
I'm 54 years old and I'm not stupid. Especially when it comes to my family. Geez! 🙄
Nobody knows your son better than you, Momma 🙏🏻
Sending you love and prayers!
@nosyb948 💜❤️💜❤️
Go grab a fentanyl test otc
I bet he kept saying he was ok because he knows what is happening to him.
I always knew too.
He was tested before his treatment. He's clean
@@FromtheHoller huh phew I can breathe. That’s odd
He may want to call and give a little report make sure they know what happened after. Yeah no NAD
@@Kristen10-22 It is a common side effect of NAD. It’s well known.
@@Catherine-Terra thanks for the information. I had never heard of this new treatment. It sounds intense for sure.
maybe it will work, sometimes you have to go thru some pain to get better, If it does work, it would be worth a day of being sick, as bad as it was
That drug sounds awful but ketamine is known to make people freak out!
Thats a blanket statement that is not true for people getting medical treatment with therapy. The dosage is precise and the patient is told what they should expect and they are monitored the entire time. I understand that the general public is not aware of this treatment. It can be life changing for some.
@@Catherine-Terra I have heard it can go both ways. That’s most treatments
