This series aims to show the best vehicles to use in GTA Online in a racing situation. That is, around a regular circuit with a mix of corners and straights. The word "Fastest" means nothing without some context - these are the fastest vehicles around a circuit. How Lap Times Were Obtained Accurately
The best lap time a vehicle can achieve around a circuit determines how good it is and therefore its place within this list.
Each vehicle was taken around the same circuit multiple times, with the best lap time being recorded. For most vehicles this equates to 10 laps per vehicle, but can often be more to ensure the absolute best lap time has been achieved with the vehicle. There are some caveats to this kind of testing though which are worth explaining below.

I recommend reading this for anyone who is confused, interested, or doubts the validity of the results in this video as it explains in great detail the extent to which these results will be useful for you personally, in addition to linking the track used for your own testing/comparison.*
So with that all being said, this video should be taken as a guideline. The testing is very accurate for this track and similar tracks when cars are driven close to the maximum. At the very least you should be able to use this testing help narrow your field of view for your own personal testing. I would always recommend testing a variety of cars yourself and take into account what kind of tracks you're racing on, what is better for you and your skill level, and even your budget. My testing is meant to guide you, not tell you exactly what to use in every situation.

Yea they are fun cars, a blast to zip around in free roam in. It's just a shame the open wheel races sucks.
We need new stunt and transform races featuring these cars. Hell even add a open wheel class to the Nascar tracks, I'd be down for that.

I remember watching Broughy years ago and getting amazed at the handful of vehicles that can reach the 1 minute mark.
And now there’s over two dozen vehicles (excluding aircrafts) that can get Sub 1 minute and it doesn’t even phase me anymore. Truly is amazing how the game has changed though.

I used to love street races on GTA a few years back. For what the game is racing on GTA was as fun or more fun than most actual racing games and there was a great group of people that used to play. I loved racing the Coquette fully modified back before they started adding all the DLC's.
F6200 not present after being added to the game last week. Smh

So Benefactor is the GTA version of Mercedes, and they make a Formula 1 car miles quicker than everything else? Man, Rockstar did their homework on the car they were basing it on lol

Funnily enough, the Benefactor BR8 is not based on a recent Mercedes F1 car, but Red Bull RB7 from 2011 (BR8 vs RB7, good one R*) :) But that was the era when Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel were dominating, and they won both the Constructors' and Drivers' Championship that year. So in a way, they indeed did their homework :D

I would say it’s amazing that it has happened, but to be honest with testing so many cars I shouldn’t be surprised some got exactly the same lap time

fun to see that in the first bit the F1 car doesn't keep up because the Emerus has enough downforce to drive above the BR8 top speed in those corners

I dont know how much they wouldve changed but you should re-do the fastest fwd cars and electric cars.

Vehicles that cannot be selected in standard races can still be used in some transform races. Seems more accurate to say they are event restricted than non-raceable. Also, I'm stealing some of these paint jobs
Emerus, compared to br8, looks as if it's just cruising. Like enjoying a nice sunny sunday afternoon lol
There is a video of an open-wheel car modded into single player with Franklin using his special ability. Then a replay at normal speed of what happened and it's insane
The only way to beat that 54 second lap time would be to add more Open-wheel vehicles. I honestly don't see any Supercar being added in the future that can even come close to that time. And before any says there aren't any F1/open-wheel vehicles they can add, I present this:
Modern F1 cars
Electric F1 cars
Experimental F1 cars similar to the Tyrrell P34 (Project 34) or March's 2-4-0 F1
Can Am Cars
Fan cars
And my personal favorite Concept F1 cars
Is there a currently relevant top of fastest STOCK cars (best for races when the custom cars are disabled)? I found a 2017 video but it lacks a lot of modern cars. From experience I noticed that it's a somewhat different story compared with fully upgraded cars...
Not yet
for supercars the tezeract is quite a good contender in stock races since it has strong acceleration built in and only benefits a tiny bit from engine upgrades while the other cars benefit a lot and get a turbo on top.
Is curb boosting still a thing? Havent played since 2017… so the emerus is the car to go for stunt races these days? Its 3x dollars and xp right now and i dont know which car to buy
yes its part of the physics engine, however some of the latest cars have handling flags that try to mitigate the effects of kerb boosting
I'm curious if you took the Open Wheel boost out of the equation how much different the numbers & rankings become. That boost helps that 1 corner & it grants better numbers.

In supers class almost all track records are held by the Krieger. In a 16 players lobby 6-8 players are starting with Krieger, the rest is mainly Vagners and Deveste Eights, S80RR-s. 0-1 racer using the Emerus, but the Emerus is better than all of them above... I don't understand...
People pick the car that's easiest to drive...cant bother to learn how to manage oversteer
Also very much depends on track type. Krieger is better in stunt races as it gets more boost from tubes
If look at some race leaderboards in social club or at CZcams videos containing wr records you'll see, that almost all of the records were settled with Emerus, D8 or buged RE-7B(which records are not relevant any more). If you a true og racer, emerus and d8 are the only things you need. There are few tracks where krieger can compete with these two, provided that you push the car to its limit.

Cheval Taipan is heavily underrated I think. Fastest but not the best with control.

Yes for question 1, no for question 2

interestingly enough the Emerus was pulling away from the BR8 on the high speed corner section in the beginning, and the BR8 came back in the mid-low speed section leading up to the hairpin in the middle

A bit disappointed to not see any Pegassi Vehicles. Only because R* makes Pegassi Vehicles look SO damn good. Personally I love Pegassi and Vapid Cars, they're the best looking to me. I'm going to start to fill up some 10 car garages with only Vapid and Pegassi Vehicles

The emerus was smashing on the BR8 in the beginning. Which leads to the question where do the open wheelers rank without KERS Boost?
Notice that KERS was only used on the penultimate straight for the testing, as that's the only section that comes after a turn that the open wheel cars needed to brake for. Worst case scenario, it might only be a difference of 1 or 2 seconds.
Yeah the KERS doesn't actually give much. For the BR8 it gives no more than a second per lap I'd say.
@@tylerlarsen1842 a second or 2 is a large loss in a race. I’d go as far as to say with the right driver and right car you could be on par with the open wheelers.

Hi Broughy, can you test the Pfister 811, I have the feeling the car got a nerf on Premium Races.
I tested it in three different modes
Freemode, No-Contact Racing and Premium Racing, and the car has three different driving behaviors in each mode
Maybe I'm wrong, you can test it if you like. Best Track to test maybe Senora Freeway or any other highspeed track.

@@1979berty Is there a notable difference in your acceleration to top speed? Another thing to consider is tyre-wear when racing. Whilst high downforce allows you to take corners more aggressively, your tyres degrade faster. Depending on your racing style, you may find that higher downforce is detrimental for longer races. :-)

Ohh are we talking about the Open Wheelers? The different wings affect top speed there yes. But it's not by much. Check the open wheel testing videos for lap time and top speed for more info

I'm actually surprised the Pariah wasn't on this list but I'm actually curious to know what do you all think is the one vehicle from this list that will also be featured in the top speed video. I think it could be the Vagner or Itali GTO, don't know why but they looked like they have a pretty high top speed.
