Such a great tip about the whale watching. Thank you for that! The food in Hawaii looks amazing! Thanks so much for the turtle footage. Swimming with turtles is the best. I got to swim with some turtles in Mexico last year and it was incredible! One of my favorite parts of this video was the information about how they honored people who work on the ship. Things like that mean so much to people and can really encourage a happier work environment. (I'm way behind, but I'm going to catch up!)

Love your vlog on Honolulu my mother lived in bungalow on Waikiki beach in the 1920s my grandparents lived there for 7 years my Mum was 7 when they came back to Sydney i have wonderful piictures of their time there

The Hale Koa is a magnificent property. My Dad is retired Air Force, so we have been able to stay at both the Hale Koa and Shades of Green in Florida. Such wonderful memories I have of staying there with my Mom and Dad.
Same here, my father is also retired military and we've stayed at both those properties. Wonderful resources and assets for our military veterans

That's because we like to dance on our cruise. We have cruised NCL, MSC and Costa and Costa has been the best in that section for us.

We are diamond plus now and will still be diamond plus at the end. We will still have about 300 points to go if we ever make pinnacle. We love Royal, but are also looking forward to trying other cruise lines.
I’ve been watching since the beginning!! What an amazing adventure! I’m curious to know if you hit any stormy seas?
Yes, we have about three times. The first was in the Drake passage and we crossed that twice. Another was coming up the East Coast of South America. And the third time was just after Sydney in the Tasman sea.
Not sure if you've ever had a chance to night snorkel with the Manta Rays in Kona. We did it a couple months ago and it was amazing. Had 7 huge Manta Rays just gliding and barrel rolling all around us. A must do!
Years ago we went scuba diving at night in Kona, and saw the manta rays. It was amazing. Thanks for reminding us have a good memory.❤️

Iolani Palace is great but the best sights are pearl harbor ...Aloha market place and Emmas Cottage.You live on a boat and then get on another?This maybe the Luau i went to. Glad you enjoyed it..maybe its improved.Seeing a dead pig in a pit wasnt great.I usually pay for the buffet so its all you can eat.You got the cheaper tickets.My section had unlimited alcohol and everyone preceded to get drunk......even knocked over the table.Such fun and then they mooned the moon. I did get to see the orange flash!I did go swimming with the dolphins at the Marine World.That was unforgettable.

Great video, really loved the snorkeling videos. Question, do you bring your passport with you on excursions (particularly in foreign ports) or a copy especially on a non rcl excursions?
We do bring our passport with us every time we leave the ship. You just never know what could happen. If something happened medically and we couldn’t get back to the ship, we would have our passport with us.
Question? I’m sure many of the passengers, and perhaps the two of you, are Pinnacle by now. With all these additional days at sea, will there be a new tier for you?

Did the snorkeling provide flotation vest, if you are not a good swimmer?
Yes they did, several varieties in fact Nancy used a swim noodle as she was snorkeling around for a little extra comfort
Question: did you know any of the other cruisers before you started your trip? I have been to this military hotel. My husband was retired Army.
We met some are a 2 day cruise Royal Caribbean held for us on Wonder of the Seas. so we did make some friends, but we didn't know anybody before that. We habe met all new friends that we now call family.

So, by the end of the cruise, EVERYONE who was in the cruise from the beginning to the end would be at least Diamond Plus, and some would be boosted right to Pinnacle Club, then….
We started the cruise with about 100 points will end with nearly 400 but that still leaves us about 300 to get to pinnacle. It's quite a journey to get there
Did you guys see the Eclipse from the ship on the 8th?
No we were all the way on the other side of the world. 😪

My family and I flew to Honolulu February 8 for 7 days my sister got married in Hawaii we are from California i love going to Hawaii when we got to Honolulu February 8 next day February 9 we felt the rolling earthquake from big island Hawaii
Wow! We've been very lucky not to experience any direct earthquakes yet. But we've had a few near places where we're traveling
Some of our shipmates told us our Hale Koa sounded like we got a lot more variety of meat than they did. Did you get pictures with the hunky guys and beautiful girls?
We got a nice selection of each of the kinds of meat. No pictures with the hunky guys but a couple within the ladies. 😁
