Sir in the upper two posterior intercostal artery there is no collateral branch ,then the lower intercostal artery in each anterior space anastomosis with??
That is a good one. The posterior and collateral intercostal arteries anastomose with the anterior intercostal arteries of the same side at the anterior axillary line. The only exception to this rule is in the tenth and eleventh intercostal spaces. Here, there are no anterior intercostal arteries and the space is completely supplied by the posterior intercostal artery. Each anterior intercostal artery will anastomose with the posterior intercostal and the collateral arteries at the level of the anterior axillary line.
Sir could you please tell me if the branches of the atypical intercostal nerves 7-11 also have the same branching pattern like 3-6 intercostal nerves? This would help me a lot…

@derdankbare7639 The first is completely different because it enters in formation of the brachial plexus. The 2nd is almost similar to the others, but the lateral branch is called intercostobrachial nerve and supplies the floor of the axilla.
Sir wouldn’t it be better when they would draw the muscular branches along the whole ventral ramus because intercostal muscles are located almost everywhere in the chest?
No problem Amina. The typical intercostal nerve is the nerve which supplies the chest wall only. It is from the 3rd to the sixth. Why others are atypical? T1 enters in the brachial plexus. T2 supplies the floor of the axilla. T6 - T12 supply the anterior abdominal wall.
