CT scan must use contrast too which is more dangerous to the kidney than mri-contrast.

Are pericardial effusions and pericarditis the same? I would say not. Pericarditis is inflammation of the pericardial sack. Pericardial effusion is when there is fluid within the pericardial sack. I would consider these videos somewhat helpful, but differentiating the 2 is not made clear in the video.
