I love the almost instant sisterly bond that formed between Charlie and Emily, its great to know that there *are* angels who care about all human souls regardless of where they ended up like Charlie does

I was smitted with her the second I saw her trading card, even though hers wasn't among the ones I got. She struck me as way too cute and endearing to be an antagonist.

More than just that, most of them are shocked about the revelation that there are frequent purges. Sera herself is explicitely stating that she's been keeping this a secret and that she's acting the way she is because of her options being limited. While this isn't a justification for what she's doing, it does paint a contrast between her and Adam/Lute who are the only angels shown so far to really buy into the whole yearly extermination thing whole hearted. With Lute being a zealot and Adam being, just, the perfect great-granddick of every other dick that ever fucked.
I haven’t watched the episode, but the way I see it the average angel is probably somewhat chill with demons. Sure they probably have their guard up cuz well that’s understandable with their perspective but still

It needs the qualifier of, "if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky!" But when you take the two lines together, yes, hits hard.
Suddenly that bit of fanart of Verosika Mayday as an angel doesn't seem quite as farfetched as before.
That's kind of the problem with the whole "good vs. evil" worldview.
If angels are absolute good then anything they do (no matter how cruel or heartless) is "good" and if demons are absolute evil then anything they do (no matter how generous or kind) is "evil".

Yeah. That was a bomb. But another - supernova-sized bomb was info that ... Heaven actually has no idea what human has to do to be in heaven, plus majority of Heaven does not know about extermination. Whoops... and Adam being d**kmaster again letting that slip in public while he was explicitly asked to keep this info among exorcists only. While Emily hehe being a Heaven's counterpart to Charlie which is nice.

It explains so much why vaggie lacks sinful tendencies like drinking, fighting. I read the theories about her being a former angel, but still after seeing this it still came as a shocking revelation.
Also it shows how corrupt angels can be. Vaggie has shown more virtue in this scene alone than adam in his whole 2 episode existence.
I always thought it was because the only reason she was in hell was because she committed suicide

@@thomasdaywalt7735 it's common to post-Biblical Christian mythology that Saint Peter is the one who meets you at "The Pearly Gates", which are the Biblically canonical gates into a place known as "New Jerusalem" or "Heavenly Jerusalem", which is interpreted as the afterlife for virtuous people, aka just "Heaven". The only person he could be is Saint Peter. I definitely didn't expect the show to have Saint Peter as a peppy, fruity little keet of a twink in a bowtie when he's usually depicted as a somber, bearded old man, but he's cute and doesn't seem like he's happy or thrilled about turning someone away so I like him, especially how excited he gets about singing his welcome song, even if it's just for guests.

Love the direction they’re going with for Lucifer. Would have been easy to go the whole "Yeah actually angels are all assholes and Lucifer was a good guy 100%." The guy legitimately seems to regret his actions but still feels like his ideas were never given a chance to flourish.
From what I can tell the other angels kicked him out for standing out and wanting to do things differently

I don't think he regrets his actions per se, but rather he seems immensely disappointed and angry that his ideas were not given a chance. This is probably why he is depressed and protective of charlie, he knows first hand what heaven will do to any that questions or disrupts the status quo, regardless of intention or result.
Don't forget right after the whole apple incident, guy's been condemned to "ONLY EVER SEE THE WORST OF HUMANS".
He was never given the chance to see the GOOD his gift gave to humanity!!! It's true he opened the Pandora's box of sins, but he also unleashed creativity, shrewd, hope into the world. Thanks to the gift of free Will, humans are not mindless robots.
My guess is that the role of the more Devilish figure in Hell will be given to Satan instead. He is confirmed to be a separate entity in the Hellaverse, and Viv describes him as being one of the more traditional depictions of the Seven Deadly Sins.

As presented initially, yes, it does seem like it.
Now, now, we only saw winners at their best. We don’t know what they would be like if they were to spend some time in a less wonderful place… many could actually just turn into jerks and drop the whole sugary facade… in fact, there wouldn’t be so many recruits for the indiscriminate murder army if heaven was so awesome as Sera presents it to Charlie and, indirectly, to us, the audience.
I have a suspicion there are much darker undertones below that sweet pastel surface of heaven… undertones that not even Emily might be aware of because Sera is a control freak… I mean, St.Paul was huffing and puffing at the end of the intro song because he pushed himself to do it and I suspect many of the stage people around him were put there for the show beforehand. Also, remember the gigantic control room with monitors behind Sera when she talks to Adam? And Sera herself having dozens of eyes? The whole thing is a bit on the nose, everything, even the card with the image of Sera holding a globe, points in the direction of her being a giga control freak.
Knowing this, is it surprising that she didn’t like Lucifer giving others free will? If anything, it actually makes sense.
So I have a theory on how the Angel was killed by Carmilla. In the flashback to Vaggie we see Lute use a specific sword to cut her eyes and wings out. Notice that Lute and Adam don't take the sword with them. There's even a sound effect of them dropping the sword as they go away. So I think Carmilla or her daughters saw what happened to Vaggie and knew the sword could hurt Angels. They have it but theres only 1 and they can't replicate it. Thats why Carmilla wants to avoid anyone knowing she can kill an Angel. People will expect her to make more but the weapon she has was gained by coincidence. The duet with Vaggie and Carmilla is foreshadowing the fact that Vaggie is protecting Charlie after she became a fallen angel and Carmilla is protecting her loved ones with the weapon used to make Vaggie a fallen angel.
@unruffledhomelander but the spears don't hurt angels it seems. Lute takes out a very specific sword that's very different than any other weapon that the exterminator's use. From a writing perspective, why show it if it's not different from other weapons. The exterminators seem to discard the spears like tooth picks. If these spears were actually harmful to exterminators they'd be more careful. Now why throw away the sword? Cause Lute and Adam are stupid and arrogant. I'm sure they worried about the sword once they realized they left it but thought "it's one sword. What could these stupid sinners do with one sword against an army of exterminators" but coincidentally it fell in the hands of Carmilla, who knows the dangers and power of power of possessing a weapon. Carmilla refused to use it unless she absolutely has to.

This could actually change the game into Charlie's favor. Carmilla would never had found out angels could get hurt if Lute never cut off Vaggie's wings and eye. Carmilla would never have used the sword if Lute didn't leave it in the first place. Sinners would've never found out they can hurt angels if not for Lute. Because of Lute, sinners now actually pose a real threat to heaven.
This would've never happened if exterminations were never a thing. Sera allowed the exterminations to happen for fear of demons causing an uprising, but demons never had an actual chance to do that. Only when Carmilla killed an Angel because of Lute's negligence, something that would've never happened if there was no extermination, did demons found out they have a fighting chance.
The exterminations have caused exactly what it is designed to prevent.

I have a theory, on the 5th episode we see Husk saying *"Big talk for someone who's also on a leash"* to Alastor, making him angry, He then threatened Husk stating he overstepped and he'll dispose of him if he ever mentions it again. Now remember that both Lilith *(charlie's mom)* and Alastor coincidentally went missing for 7 years *(maybe during this time Lilith made a contract with Alastor)* only later then Alastor shows up at the Hotel where he met Charlie, my guess is that Alastor is trying to get close to Charlie so that he can have leverage on Lilith so that he can get his freedom back, there're hints when Alastor was singing along with Lucifer. But of course it could just be him trying to make Lucifer jealous and maybe Lilith could just be ordering him to help Charlie with the Hotel.
Husk (probably) doesnt know what alastor did during that time, but he knows something about the leash.
I think alastor and lillith made a contract and alastors rise to power happened has a result of that contract.
I keep hearing that Alastor’s master is likely to be Roo - who was said to be the main threat of the series but has yet to make a full-on appearance.

I think episode 6 showed 2 things:
First that the cannibals in the cannibal colony are sinners because the exorcists don't hunt down hellborns (I'd assume that they would ignore hellborn cities like Imp City in the pride ring)
Also Vaggie was hurt by angelic weapons...as far as I understood, the exorcists consists of winners and not of heavenborn angels... this would mean that angelic weapons don't specifically work against sinners but rather against human souls in general
Well, Lute was the one who hurt Vaggie, and she is the only one who uses swords. The other exorcists use spears, so maybe only her swords have the power to hurt or kill an angel.
They don't hunt down hellborns cause they are just attacking pride and hellborns can just evacuate somewhere
And imp city is not fully hellborn, that's why imp even has a office there not outside pride

my point was if the cannibals are also hellborns (some people were discussing about the fact that Rosie and the people of the cannibal colony might be hellborns) than the exorcists would leave them alone like they do with the imps...but Vaggie refused to kill a child that looked like it was part of the colony which would mean that they are human sinners and not hellborn

But sinners cannot reproduce, only hellborns can (unless they retconned it) and Vaggie trying to kill a hellborn doesn't make any sense because Lute specifically tells Charlie in ep 1 "The only reason why you're still here is because daddy gave you and *your hellborn kind* a pardon from an exorcist's blade"
I loved episode 5, It was so awesome to see Lucifer finally make his debut in the show! And even though he thinks that Charlie's mission is impossible, At least he loves and supports his daughter.
And now that Charlie knows that Vaggie is an angel, There's no telling what will happen between them next. Because knowing Charlie despite being heartbroken she'll probably try to forgive Vaggie, But Vaggie will probably avoid Charlie thinking that she doesn't deserve her forgiveness but even if Vaggie did do that I would have no doubt that she would still love Charlie.
The reason why Adam was the first person to enter Heaven was because Heaven was new. Meaning he basically was the first ever human to die and they didn't know what made a person be able to step foot into their territory. I have a theory in later seasons that Heaven will finally realize that Adam and Lute are not good people. So they will become fallen angels, not just for that. I think Adam did something bad( like really bad) when alive and is not telling anyone in the fear of being kicked out.

And the first episode has the line where after the exterminator says "angels dont make mistakes" he follows up with "yeah ive never made a mistake in my entire life!" always seemed off to me
That's one of my two possible thoughts on why he always has the exorcist mask on.
1st thought is that he might have a partly demonic appearance underneath
2nd thought is that it's because of the whole "God created man in his own image" meaning Adam should look pretty similar to God, who has so far been suspiciously absent. Don't have much to substantiate it at the moment but I think at some stage God will be introduced (if they haven't been already) and Adam revealing his face now would make it too easy to work that out
Adam, I see in this series, is nothing more than a big jerk. It also makes me wonder why the guy is in heaven as an angel. He stated before that he never made a mistake in his life, yet I disagree. Adam was the original sinner when he ate the forbidden fruit with Eve , which I consider as the first mistake he made. The second (in my opinion) would be his failure in humanity's upbringing during his years of living. Being the "father of humanity", he should've guided humans to the righteous path but I don't think he took his role seriously. And third, when he became an exorcist angel tasked to kill off sinners, he's basically killing off his own children since they were originally human souls-his descendants of many generations ago. And he doesn't care since he believes he's above them and that they deserved permanent death for their mistakes
Here’s something I noticed. Charlie says that after, her parents split up, Lucifer didn’t want to spend time with her. But we see that that absolutely isn’t the case!
Who, if not Lilith, would have told little Charlie that daddy didn’t want to see her? Who would have told her that incredibly biased sounding story of innocent Lilith running away from big, bad Adam the control freak?
After Lucifer got together with her he made the worst mistake of his life, lost everything and fell into depression.
We don’t know what Adam was like before unless we take her story for granted. So there’s the possibility that seeing his vengeful ex screwing over all of his descendants made him overcompensate.
The one common denominator, who seems to bring out the worst in people before latching onto the next victim, seems to be Lilith! Queen of hell and mother of the succubi!
Facts for all we know she could be a dagmar or Cersei maybe even a dany because the story was suspicious why would you give eve the apple knowing evil would become a thing since right after they were sent to hell she just so happened to make the best of it with a “song “ sounds like she planned for it
Now this is a theory based on my observation and wish that Lilith was not the real evil, but personally I think there is a bit of nuance. In charlie's little flashback it looked like lucifer was in a workshop with many saws. Besides the fact that that is just not safe for kids, it seems to me that lucifer was making something, perhaps a prototype of lu lu world to distract himself from his depression most of the time. This may have lead to him being nonexistent in charlie's upbringing which lead to lilith and lucifer splitting OR this lead to lilith and lucifer becoming distant and charlie was born after lucifer and lilith grew apart.
Another take on why Lilith split from Lucifer and took Charlie with her is that.... they are living in hell among murderers and abusers of all kinds. If you want your daughter to survive, maybe taking her away from her depressed father who lives in a dreamland and doesn't seem to be super assertive is because you make the choice to try to get her to toughen up as she gets older.
I mean the part about Adam being a misogynistic control freak was objectively true
One thing I'm confused about is why Adams list includes "Sticking it to the big man".
Usually, questioning authority is the opposite of what an angel does. Hell, lucifer tried to change something and got cast out. So if anything, pure obedience and naivete would be much more of a thing heaven would want.
After all, you notice how in real life, people who live good lives with rich parents never really question stuff. They never needed to question authority cause stuff just works out for them, while criminals and people from worse off environments generally despise authority, as they have seen all the wrong authority does.
So Adam putting that on the list (even though he just quickly made it up) is strange... Especially cause in this very same episode, we saw Vaggie lose an eye and her wings just for basically not blindly following orders.
I think that "sticking it to the big man" bit kind of backfired on him since Charlie managed to reinterpret that as "standing your ground against terrible people" (a.k.a. abusers).
Well, in real life (at least for what I am being told) free will is actually very important when it comes to determing the morality of an action
Say if you are forced to kill to defend yourself, that wouldnt be a sin since you didnt took a life out of desire, by your own free will, but because of a situation you were forced to, similar to how forced good deeds arent a virtue since you didnt wanted to be good
That would mean that if what Adam said wasnt just for shits and giggles, then just because an authority says you are unredeemable doesnt means you are as long as you yourself try to be better by your own free will and that you should stand your ground as long as you are being virtious
Also lets be honest, the only guy that has a say on what is unredeemable or not is God himself. And Adam isnt the Big G so............profit😅

Say for example praying so that people see you as religious. The action itself should be virtious, but the intent and reason is sinful, since its out of pride and vanity, while say killing out of self defense (and some may even include to avenge or defend a loved one). The action should be extremely sinful (so sinful it actually transfers all the sins the victim has onto you, since you are cutting their life short, preventing them from actually repenting) but the intent and reason are so virtious its not consider a sin unless you are very fundamentalistic, and even then is something you can repend to
I know christianity and catholisim has fame of being rather draconian (and it used to be). Believe me, I am gay, I should know, but IRL, and by the looks if it in the show, God is really merciful ans loving, so as long as you willfully repend, there shoudnt be a but or if about it
While Adam does has a point, he is going to far about it, and there seems to be something very dangerous that is preventing Sera from acting the way she would want to

Agree with the eyes appearing as if someone is watching through her, as if that entity senses anger, corruption, (any negativity feeling) or knows if Sera will say something that she shouldn’t, the eyes appear to watch over. that would actually be cool.
I think Carmilla was also an Angel at one point, given their shared song with Vaggie and similar appearances to each other as well as other Angels. If I had to guess, she went to Heaven and was once a Human, but her daughters for whatever reason ended up in Hell.
Thus, it seems pretty in-character for her to have abandoned Heaven to protect her daughters in Hell. It would also explain why she wants to avoid personally killing or fighting anyone, and seems to have a very good understanding of angelic weapons and how to make new weapons from them.

I’m so happy to see Angel Dusts sister in heaven. It’s just refreshing to know that at least one of the two made it into heaven. If Angel dust does get redeemed then he’ll see his sister again 😊

I feel like them having Molly as a background character was more intentional then them wanting to just have her in there. Angel is probably going to find out his sister is up there and that is going to push him to want redemption even more or it's going to send him backwards depending on how things went down when they were alive.
it makes me wonder if like family members can see or know what’s happening in hell, like in the cherub ad they say to help your family i know its saying on earth but it makes you wonder, like if angels sister would be able to see him i also wonder how she would feel about knowing her brother was in trouble or any other family’s that a spilt ?

The Lucy/Alistair duet was hilarious and the Lucy/Charlie duet was really beautiful. I love how Em and Charlie sound so similar cause they have the same ideology. 9/10 set of episodes

The music “you didn’t know” it’s so good in my opinion, tells so much lore and revelations while the characters are all “fighting” to try to resolve
Something that was particularly intriguing to me is that Sera seemed to say that the Extermination was Adam’s idea, which in a way makes sense given how much hatred and prejudice he has for Sinners with Sera going along with it because she sees it as necessary to protect her people.🤔
Also, since they only seem to keep mentioning Lucifer as being fallen, that reduces the chances that the other Deadly Sins are fallen angels too if they don’t even imply that their are others, so that still leaves it up in the air how they came to be, possibly coalescing into existence in response to evil making its way to Earth or by some other powerful cosmic force.🤔
In Revelations it is said a third of the angels or “stars” where cast down along with Lucifer. Humanity itself mightve manifested the sins in the show if they dont go with that piece of bible lore.
Mean, Beelzebub is, like, as super hellhound, and Asmodeus looks like he'd fit in with the Goetia, so yeah, the other Sins are probably hellborn

in the “winners” trading card, you can see bird-like angels that look very similar to the ars goetia, so maybe those are the avian angels that didn’t fall?

Im going to clear this up. Hell is effectively Lucifers playground. He, after being casted out, decided to make hell like a circus. The seven deadly sins being the Ring Leaders and him being the ring master. Which is shown from the wide variety of circus imagery used when his presence is felt. Such as in his hotel, in his room, in the song "Hells Greatest Dad" and the ending scene to "More Than Anything". This is due to him being a creative dreamer, a true inspiration. But after his dreams were corrupted by sin and over shadowed by the evil of sinners, he decided to stop dreaming, to protect the ones he held nearest.
I find it very interesting that despite Lucifer being a fallen angel and responsible for the situation that is Hell, he still has enough influence or contacts in Heaven to arrange the meeting with the Head Seraphim for Charlie, and also gotten a Pardon for the Hellborn to protect them from the Exterminations. Vaggie being given the Maleficent treatment as punishment, that gave me chills. I think maybe the defense Sera might be referring to is maybe Eve tried to attack heaven? We haven't seen Eve much but the Lucifer episode kinda struck as eerie, especially the woman holding young Charlie. I think that woman was Eve, not Lilith.

I thought Sera would be the overarching antagonist above Adam given how intimidating she looked in the trailer. But now that's clearly not the case. She really didn't want to approve another extermination but it looks like Adam exaggerated things and manipulated her to think there would be an uprising. He only revealed Vaggie's secret because he was about to get caught after slipping the truth about the extermination after Angel was shown to not be a terrible person.
She might not even agree with it in the first place, given how she was never really stoked when talking about it.

I really like the little detail of when Charlie went through her contacts and there were actually demon names from abrahamic myth in it, even belphagor who’s a sin. Just a fun detail and honestly makes me wanna see belphagor even more now

The symbols that have appeared during Alastor being terrifying at times, like the flashback to him taking down the 1930s Overlords of the time or when he said to Frank to keep the secret about who killed the angel between each other, are ones that have been historically used in esoteric rituals.
I’m guessing that when Alastor was still alive as a human, he formed a pact with Lilith.
So when he died and went to hell, the reason why he immediately had a leg up over the other established 1930’s Overlords of the time, was because of the power granted to him by Lilith.
He was a serial killer and perhaps did practice voodoo rituals as he lived in New Orleans, perhaps even summoned demons like we see in Helluva Boss do. It's possible he contacted either Lucifer or Lilith in exchange for power though because he looks different in Hell, Lucifer might not recognize him. A lot of sinners were devil worshippers too but Lulu doesn't seem interested in their fate in hell. Lucifer is just too adorable in this series to paint as a "bad guy". But we all know Alastor has secrets.
I have a theory that the big man upstairs isn't around heaven anymore probably left in a type depressive state like Lucifer had as we seen about the mess and how things weren't working out like he wanted leaving others to manage the souls and other things in heaven but left somethings in auto pilot like the condition to get in heaven and now those in charge are running amok of things

And everyone is a complex amalgamation of their choices and the situation they exist in. There are good and evil people in hell, good and evil people in heaven, good and evil people on Earth... and ultimately, most people are somewhere in between at all times.

That theory came to being because of a leaked screenshot of Charlie comforting Vaggie who had strange, suspiciously exorcist-like wings. That’s not to say people aren’t amazing for deducing that since the screenshot was still very vague, but that was a huge reason why people came to that conclusion.

I knew Emily would be on Charlie’s side, but I wasn’t expecting Sera to be so compassionate. It would be easy for Viv to go the hardcore cynical route, but I’m glad she left room for angels to be caring, and even a little uncertain. Hope needs to have a role to play in a show based in Hell.
I feel so bad for Lucifer. If you remember the end of 1x6, Adam directly threatened Charlie and that he would "go for the hotel first." In 1x1 Lute said that the only reason Charlie wasn't a target was through some deal with Lucifer. I think that, not IF, but WHEN Adam and his exterminators physically threaten Charlie, Lucifer will break. I hope this happens because I hope Adam gets what is coming to him.

I think the conflict will arise from Adam trying to kill everyone in the hotel EXCEPT Charlie since that's the deal. Lucifer can't do anything since the deal was to protect hellspawn not sinners so everyone else is free game. I've seen other people point out there's also figures like the archangels (Gabriel, Michael, etc) and the seven heavenly virtues that could come into the story later. They could possibly be depicted (only in this story) as having higher power then the other seraphim and that's what Sera fears since they likely are the ones who demanded Lucifer's fall. If that's the case they could have imposed stricter laws to prevent anything like Lucifer from happening again (and anyone who argues has to be banished immediately as punishment)
From what Sam (the art director) has said, the rainbow thing is Hell's rings - it's the light of god differentiated. The Sins are what give life meaning, according to her.
Heaven wouldn't have Seven Virtues because they'd be undifferentiated.
I'm pretty sure that the part with Sera growing all those eyes is her demonstrating her "true form" the way that we've seen most of the characters in hell do; in the same way that the hell-bound have more monstrous 'demonic' forms that are concealed under smaller and more civilized forms, it would make sense that the heaven-bound individuals have the same thing with 'angelic' forms.

I really love the fact that they expose vaggie in the last episode because i feel like it adds to the overall message Charlie is going for. If angels and exorcists can fall then what is stopping exceptional sinners from rising? while charlie may feel betrayed in the beginning I think, or rather hope that they will see the potential in what this does for their argument against heaven and the extermination.
I'm actually very happy that Lucifer isn't an abusive/bad father (like so many others) and actually loves and cares about his daughter.

I LOVE how it’s all but stated that the ONLY reason adam is in heaven is because he was first and the angels don’t want to admit they made a mistake and because of adams arrogance and privileged position he can act like a monster until called out by the higher ups I hope that Adam is thrown out of heaven and seek rehabilitation at the hotel which could be Charlie’s ultimate test to see if she can accept someone she truly hates.

Actually there was a comic that showed Lucifer talking to Gabriel about their siblings and the need for more Angels. Gabriel said God ascended to the highest level and four of the archangels went as well. Camael went nuts, two exorcists died, and jophael died by camael. The angels who died either went to paradise, reincarnated, or something.

If I remember correctly, Sera says to Emily part of her job is to make heaven happy, and in Lucis storybook he is described to do something similar? And if that is the case is Emily meant to be some kind of replacement for luci and did he have a similar relationship with Sera?

Could you maybe look into all the eye motifs on the angels? When we first see them, Emily, in particular, has a third eye, and then in the song, on her dress, we see that eye again and how her halo changes. Could it be how there is that veil of ignorance, and then her eyes were opened, like Adam when he ate the forbidden fruit? After all, it almost seems to me, that Lucifer already had his eyes opened to what could be there, but in an effort to maintain power and their own ignorance of how souls enter, they keep everyone's eyes covered by the glitter that is heaven? I dunno; it's just something we saw a lot of eyes also in the opening. maybe I'm looking into it too much and it is just aesthetics, but in animation, I feel there is no throw away detail, you just have to look hard to find the small connections.

Is because Sera and Emily are Seraphims. They are angels that both are basically the IRL incarnation of the pokemon move Dazzling Gleam (as in, literal holy nuclear bombs of light) and are also covered in eyes. Vip just decides to hide them in their designs as a way to humanize them while still being accurate, similar to how the thrones have humanoid bodies but their heads are wheela with eyes
Lucifer is also one, so maybe he also has various eyes across his body

The eyes that pop up on sera are probably a part of her angelic form of how the sinners also have a type of phase where they are alot more demonic angels would have a more angelic transformation. you can also see those eyes when you first see sera coming down from the sky to greet charlie
Okay theory Charlie is much more powerful than we see in the show but to keep her safe her parents sealed most of her power away without her knowing and in a later episode we will see the seal broken and her have try to control the new massive amount of power she now has

Something interesting that Emily’s occupation is the joybringer. So maybe Emily was born when Lucifer fell replacing him from lightbringer to joybringer. Which might explain why sera is very protective and might keep Emily sheltered in heaven, it’s also possible that sera witnessed the chaos of hell being created and the outcome of Lilith and Lucifer’s actions it’s why what looks like a saddened sera being covered up by Adam (who possibly pray on her fears and doubts) I don’t think they’re being watched but most likely sera is afraid that Emily will do something similar to Lucifer. I also think that the winners wings could show how Molly’s are small (might be why she still looks like a spider) that she barely made it to heaven or that she managed to get in but her history made it almost made her
I think that Lute is Adam's daughter, maybe Aclima, since she mentioned, "The only reason you're still here is because daddy gave you and your hellborn kind a pardon from an exorcist blade."
Now, she could be referring to God, but I don't think God is involved in this.
I noticed is that she is the only exorcist who uses swords, unlike the others who use spears.
The swords she uses can kill angels, as seen when she hurt Vaggie, and Vaggie didn't regenerate.
Angels can't be hurt by angelic weapons like spears, or else the demons would have used them to kill angels if they could. Therefore, I think the only things that can hurt and kill angels are these swords, possibly flaming swords.
According to the Bible, a flaming sword was entrusted to the cherubim by God to guard the gates of Paradise after Adam and Eve were banished (Genesis 3:24).
Well, that would mean that Carmilla Carmine either got one or made one, but you need Holy Fire to make one, so I don't know.
In the pilot, Lute had two swords, and then we saw her with one when she attacked Vaggie, so there's that.
She says "Daddy" because she's talking to Charlie, and referring to Lucifer.
Also, Sera calls out Adam and says "listen to your lieutenant" and vivzie has stated the exterminators are direct descendants from Adam so the whole why she is lieutenant and not another angel checks out. Rose up the ranks given her chance through familial connection. A lieutenant right under commander would in fact have the ability to wield a weapon like the sword given the context.

I think it is maybe possible that they could be killed by regular angelic weps too... for the fact that carmine killed an angel and theres no evidence that shed have these flaming swords or that angels cant be killed with angelic weapons.
It is possible that theyve never killed an angel because sinners are too afraid of them, most of them dont have access to angelic weapons and the ones that do have never tried to kill an angel before cuz they probably have hideouts where they can wait the extermination in. Along with the fact that exterminators are probably just generally stronger than the avg sinner, so it might take an exceptionally powerful sinner/demon to kill one
@@missnoob4015 True, we still don't know how Carmine killed the angel (or if Carmine really killed the angel as some speculate). However, I don't believe (and I could be wrong, of course) that angels would leave their spears behind if they could be killed with them. It wouldn't make sense for them to take such a risk. If sinners truly wanted to resist, I think they could win because there are more sinners than exterminators. Also, I don't think if they could be killed with normal angelic weapons, at least one other would not have been killed. I proposed this theory because so far, the only weapon that has harmed an angel is Lute's sword, and I think it's possible that he may have lost it or had it stolen. I don't know, maybe Carmila or one of her daughters found it. As I said, in the pilot episode, she was shown with two swords, the only one with swords, and now when she attacked Vaggi, but also for a moment in the crystal ball, she was seen with just one sword. I don't know, it's just my theory.

I’m really surprised they were so willing to let Charlie into heaven for a brief period considering over Lucifer’s actions and events that took place throughout the eons. No one told her yet about the war in heaven and rebellions? No one is not bringing that up? No one’s bringing up Luci challengeing God? But I’m pretty sure we’ll get there in due time. I’m surprised charlie isn’t treated as much as an outcast.
I can only assume Exorcist gossip about a demon princess seeing the good her father cannot see reached the higher-ups, who would look into it from afar and realise that yes, Charlie's 100% into the idea that people can change.

The sixth episode was so confusing & irritating for me. I hope we will soon understand more about Sarah's motivations and see Emily helping Charlie's case. There will have to be consequenses to Adam's accidental big reveal.

I kinda see a lot of similarities with the good place. The afterlife is broken, unfair judgement, a person can improve after death
I can see Lucifer being built up by Charlie and, at the end of the series, becoming the new governing force of heaven and hell. Now making it possible to make a new cycle, where repentant sinners are able to absolve themselves even after death and all get to be more free.
I hope so. He looks just so sad and depressed, I want to give him a hug, from father to father.

Confirming that Vaggie was an exterminator angel makes her episode three dialogue with Charlie, and her lyrics in "Whatever it Takes," hit WAY harder now. She lost her eye, her wings, her halo, her station, her purpose, her home, because she spared the child. Charlie gave her a new home and purpose, with a goal that matched her own (save souls from extermination). For Vaggie, the thought that she could fail Charlie (and herself) is almost too much, as it would mean that all of her sacrifice/loss and effort would account for nothing. She believes that she would be nothing. Thus, she says, "If I can't help you, what's the point of me?" Heavy stuff.

I have to say that what seen in these episodes about not even the Serafins knowing how a human Soul can reach heaven reminds me of the Total Depravity tenet of Calvinism... The whole Humanity is predestined to hell by default but God, in His infinite grace, has selected a certain amount of people before they are born to be saved.
So yeah, salvation is a lottery, you are either a winner or a sinner, which fits almost perfectly with the show.

I'm also curious when Adam told Vaggie, I named you or gave you that name. Did he create her and the other executioner angels or did he mean like in Hell. When first get there, you change your name and when she joined his army, he just gave her that, as her new name.
I've seen somewhere that all the exorcist are descendents of Adam in some way, though I'm sure how accurate that is. Don't quote me lol

That would make Vaggie a decendant of Adam (and funnily enough, it means Adam is Charlie's annoying father-in-law)
Second option may be more likely. Executioner were said to be human souls, but we know that in Hell, they sometimes change their name (Angel is a good exemple, as his actual name, as seen on his contract with Valentino, is "Antony"). Maybe, after going through Peter, the souls that become Executioners take a new name. Maybe as some form of code name in case they need to talk, so the sinners wouldn't recognise them, even if they used to know each others ? And, they may not get to pick it. Adam may be the one who pick the name instead, as he is the leader of that army.
Am I crazy or is the similarity between Charlie and Emily hinting towards actual relation, as in Lucifer and Sera before he was cast down to hell which is why Sera refers to that almost personally at the end of the episode.
I really like the idea that as an inverse to sinners, winners have a trait in their appearance that reflects something they loved about themselves or the world.

Seeing Sera was sure a surprise to me cause I was just expecting the preconceived notion of Micheal being in charge that’s usually around. But with how the shows written I don’t even know if they have a Micheal or Gabriel, cause both those names have never been said or referenced at all. If they do exist seeing Charlie have an uncle that’s conflicted (kinda like Garp and Luffy in one piece), could be interesting.
Charlie probably had the worst day ever! Not only did she failed to convince the people of Heaven to support her project of redeeming sinners, but also discovered that Vaggie - the first supporter of her goal and the love of her life is not only an angel but also one of the Exorcists - the heartless murderers that slaughtered thousands of her subject for centuries. Charlie didn't deserved to get traumatized like that. Adam is such a horrible monster! I hope that in the season finale, he will finally get what he truly deserve! I also hope that Charlie and Vaggie can somehow fix their relationship after this. 😭😭😭😭😭
You know how Lucifer said that charlie is the only thing whorthy of protecting imagine if he heard Adam say he would come to Charlie first on extermination Hope we see a battle between some of the higher ranks
