- Here is the moment of truth! After a failed first attempt, we send our 2JZ Lambo back to the dyno chasing some BIG power with an updated turbo, wastegate, exhaust and Link ECU. The Liberty Walk bodykit was removed in order to have the car get on the dyno easier, and man did it make some 2JZ flames when opened up. This 2JZ swap now goes and sounds like a supercar!

Ultimately what it comes down to in the dyno room is consistency and repeatability. Remember push clean air to the engine from elsewhere in the building and also pull outside air through your room by way of a large vent on one end and an exhaust fan on the other end if you have it. The reason you shouldn't use outside air to the carb is that it's just not consistent through the day, and yes the dyno does correct for differences in air, but you will end up chasing the tune from morning to afternoon. Differences in air temp/quality throughout the day is just another of the variables that you have to gain control of if you want that consistency and repeatability. And forgetting to feed air you will see a difference 25 to 35 hp difference.

I thought that was what you had to do in youtube vids. Just completely ignore the point…. 😂
It was 2 main things
1 the collector was completely useless as far as boost control was concerned
2 when they joined pipes together instead of cutting the bend properly allowing the gasses to flow smoothly they essentially mitred the tube so the gasses had to change direction violently. This causes excessive back pressure and therefore heat. And not heat where you want it.

In this scenario, yes. Infact on most turbocharged scenarios yes. On some specific scenarios no go with the length.
