- The PBR and PBR riders pay tribute to the Kamikaze Kid, Rob Smets as he retires at the 2006 PBR World Finals. Smets talks about how our Father has blessed him throughout his career and how he's come back from 3 broken necks with his family by his side. Smets would go on to raise a bull named Jeremiah (after Jeremiah 33.3), whose been pretty good on the PBR premier series these past years.

I Loved Rob Smets he was the greatest bull fighter ever!! He was working the bulls when I started to watch and become a fan of the PBR. My favorite guy was Aderino!! I traveled to Colorado, Vagas, many places around Pa. The Bull riders and the bull fighters have the GREATEST RESPECT FOR AMERICA AND FELLOW MAN!! You can feel the LOVE!! Please stay well Rob!!

No shit? That’s crazy if so. I live in California too, and he has to be a relative of mine because our last name is extremely uncommon in the states. What a trip!
I’m going to ask my cousin if she knows of him, because unfortunately my Smets grandparents are both deceased and I don’t have a relationship with my father atm.
Would love to meet this man before his time comes
