A song you think would not be possible live. Sounds even better. Whole band on point. Adams bass is just on another level. Really miss the experimental U2 from the 90’s.
This has to be the best version live of this song I,like the edges little shimmy whilst playing guitar.

Edge's guitar sound is hospital sick on this tune.
My only complaint about this version is that they don't play it longer.
Jason Lefler they only played this song on the Asia leg of ZooTV Tour and have never played it again...too bad
This is an excellent example of why he is such a great guitarist, literally an engineer. It takes a very unusual chain of stomp boxes for creating this specific effect. Also playing on time with it is really difficult.

Yeah bass playing not fantastic but I think its the sound mix that makes it sound worse, how often do you hear the creaking of the strings so much on record or live?

If you have a delay pedal you can set it to sound like this.
I think these are backing vocal tracks from the album, being played simultaneously as Edge sings.
On the album, this part is all Edge singing a 3-part harmony.
Here, Edge is actually singing the main melodic line, and then on top of that I think they are simultaneously playing back the remaining recorded layers (either just the other 2 parts, or the full entire 3-part audio) so it sounds fuller.
Edge’s timing is excellent, so it sounds like it could be just his vocals going through a Harmonizer effect.
There are many Harmonizer effects out there (some more geared towards voice, others for guitar, etc.). You can usually program it for 1 note above or below (a minor 3rd, or a 5th, etc). I’m not aware of any polyphonic harmonizers - that would add, say a major 3rd AND a 5th - but they might exist as well.

I have seen the zoomerang in adalide dvd and the quality does not comapre at all to this.. What dvd or sorce is this from? I must try and find the full concert!

@SpeedKlz Hey hey lol im Australian We arent boring :P thats just ADELAIDE PEOPLE which is like on the other side of australia THEY ARE VERY BORINg you should of seen the recent Brisbane show IT WAS LOUD LOUD with crowd lol and plus dont forget the Zootv SYDNEY show that was amazing and the crowd was amazing as well :D.
