I fished the Colne at Farlows for years. I used to fish all September for the roach on hemp and bagged up while the leaves were falling. I used to catch a good stamp of Chub and there are also bream in the river. Happy, happy memories.

Great video lads! Especially enjoyed the start on the Colne as I fish there sometimes myself. On my stretches there is strictly no night fishing sadly so you were fortunate to be able to catch some cracking barbel at night. Very well done!

Great video, the Colne runs along my back garden about a mile upstream of Farlows. I often see barbel hugging both sides of the bank where there is a straight drop down, even if its only a foot deep. Worth trying if you fish it again.
Ah thats cool, might be worth a look at some point! Is it a club stretch or what?! Would love to have a go there! :)
Its mostly local club but there are a couple of public free places. Saw a huge pike their yesterday.......something for the winter!

I know about the river Colne around Farlows and little britain.and through trout lane fisheries
bream got to go 15lb chub at 6 l.b.and i saw a 30lb.pike caught by the weir.ive hooked barbel but never managed to get one out.they do like to tangle themselves up in the weeds and take some stopping .bizzare the rivers only 2 ft.to 3 ft.deep in most places.you don't expect huge fish.but it very weedy.

You should fish little Britain it's next to farlows and is also part of the river colne it's full of massive barbel up to 19 pound

i went to lindolm lakes in donaster i stayed i a lodge on oasis lake used a single 6ml pellet on hairig with 1pie e of corn on hook and caught 42 barble, 15 carp ,4 tench, 2 golden rud ,1 2lb perch ,20 roach, 30 skimers on oasis lake in 2 days definatly go

Lived in Totnes till 2004 and fished the Culm often and had carp from the Exe but never knew barbel lived in the Culm.

Nice one guys. I like variety in fishing. Also looks like you may have a drone. I finally got one to film with, bit scary first time over the water!!! Should get some awesome footage though. Looks like a nice waterway, but is that a highway we can hear in the background?
Thanks Andy! Yeah we've got ourselves a little drone to help with getting some cool shots!! It's pretty scary to fly it over water though! lol! Yes the first location you can hear the highway just nearby. Pretty noisy!!

It's not that bad or noisy. I think you could possibly filter that out if you wanted to. I did that on my last flying video and that was a 2 stroke motor with a huge prop just behind me, I was impressed how much it cut out. I've got some good ideas for my drone, but it's been 20-30knt winds of late. So more waiting is called for.

I love this also could you do me a favour I've been fishing for about 10 years but in the past 3 years done alot of carp fishing and was wondering if you could do some more carp rigs
