You may have invaded my mind and my body, but there is one thing a saiyan always keeps. HIS PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!!!!
I guess I've been keeping you waiting for a long time, Vegeta. But no more.
I wanted him to realise the evil in my heart, I wanted him to return me to the way the I was before!!!! AAAAAAARGHHJJ
I WAS THE PERFECT WARRIOR! COLD AND RUTHLESS! I LIVED BY MY STRENGTH ALONE! UNINHIBITED BY FOOLISH EMOTION!! But slowly…. over the years… I became one of you. My quest for greatness gradually giving way to this life of mediocrity. I awoke one day to find that I had settled down and formed a family. I had even grown quite fond of them. Would you believe, I almost started think that the Earth was a nice place to live. Do you understand now, Kakarrot? That’s why I needed Babidi! To set me free! By releasing the evil within my heart! He has freed me of these petty attachments. And I have to say it feels pretty good.”
@@michaelhenson5396 kikuichi theme made that speech so good
I can’t believe I’ve had this speech memorized for so many years. What a powerful moment, such that we all related to it on such a deep level.
Vegeta- “He has stolen my honor and his debts must be paid!”
One of the best lines in DBZ❤
This arc has so much character development for vegeta. It's amazing
“you’re better than me kakarot, you are the best.”
But people keep saying this arc is bad. Me personally I like it
The Buu Saga is not bad. It just suffers from inconsistent tone and pacing. Which is evident of Toriyama suffering from burn-out because of the publishing schedule he had to deal with at the time.
Buu saga is shit
Than you should read Super there Vegetas real character development starts.
Vegeta was such a badass in this insane episode! He had some of the most epic lines of all time, like his pride speech. It’s crazy how much development his character went through. But his peak moment, his Final Atonement, is still ahead of us …
Yes Vegetas development in Super is much better, in Z he only follows Gokus only to be every time behind. His develepment to a God of Destruction while Goku is going the path of an Angel is much better.
For Vegeta fans there're at least 4 peak moments in the Buu saga alone. Battle w/ Puipui, The Majin mind refusal (his pride) and 2 more are yet to come.
@Skrubb Lord the best one is real close now.Have to prepare the tissues 🥺
@@nuggetz4037 You should reread the path of the God of Destruction and the Angels is pretty interesting.
Dragonball is from the start on what you are describing, threat ermeges-> power up.
That you say it is only for kids shows me that you are not very old yourself and maybe a kid too, just kids saying something is just for kids :)
@@jesuseinstein4706That was kinda of the point in Z. Vegeta was struggling to accept Goku was the better fighter since his first defeat. He finally accepts it when he watches Goku fight Kid buu as a SS3.
Super just erased all that and said “nah! EGO fam!” 😂
Vegeta has the most boss lines of any character ever.
Than any anime character in history😈
"He's even saved my life as if I were a helpless child" Vegeta is a warrior and would much rather die in battle than be saved, his pride matters more to him than being saved and making it out alive from a battle.
He's delusional
@@cringekiller348 Well, yes. But he’s also a Saiyan who was raised by Saiyans. This is how his people thought and lived. They’re a pure warrior race. They understand only strength. They’re very Darwinian that way. Only the strong survive. To one raised among such people, as Vegeta was, it would be disgraceful to survive a battle if you require help from another. You either live by your strength or die by a lack of it. It’s not a smart way to live, but it was the Saiyan way.
The very thing is this Vegeta is born to be the best. His father was the king and He looked to be the strongest of all the sayians. Goku was a low class warrior and he was what many of them believed was weak. Vegeta had known this but from their first fight Vegeta was out matched against him and he sees what Goku power increases and even became a super sayian of legend. It torn him apart on how Goku could be this good and Vegeta isn’t.
@@cringekiller348by human standards. Not saiyan standards
@@micahhill4786 Vegeta actually whooped Goku in their first fight. Goku needed help from Gohan, Krillin, and Yajerobe to win.
The Buu arc is so underrated. It created at least two generations of Vegeta fanboys.
1. Vegeta's speech in this episode is always so spine-chilling to hear!
2. I actually love that when Goku threatened the Supreme Kai, you really saw his Saiyan side come out in that moment
Super saiyan really does amplify that side.
That wasn't Goku. That was Kakarot.
@@renaldodagelinckx4055 Broly: KAKAROT!
@@renaldodagelinckx4055 Oh, you right, you right hahaha
I think, it's more likely, that he knew, Vegeta would go on and kill innocent people as long as he doesn't fight Vegeta. So it's either hundreds of innocent people or one Kaioshin
If it’s one thing about vegeta is that his speeches always hit. Would love to see a alternate universe with him as the KING of all saiyans
"Is it slavery when you get what you want?"
That line has so many different meanings....and Vegeta cleverly used his own insecurity as a strength. He's not only able to fight Goku, but is able to listen into Babidi's plans.
That line literally describes the work force
@@Earthling.7 or plot armor
@@Cratossama Except you get paid and you can quit anytime you want lol. If you're in China, North Korea then it's slavery
@@Cratossama how can a question describe something?
I think the source of Vegeta’s ‘evil’ has always been his pride. So when Babidi amplified Vegeta’s evil he really only restored his sense of pride. Which led to Vegeta wanting to go after the one thing that has been threatening his pride throughout the entire show, which has been Goku.
Well put
Everyone always talks about Vegeta speech, which is incredible, but no one mentions the inner termoil goku was going through. That “Sorry Supreme Kai” hit deep.
If your a vegeta fan. This is the best episode. His speeches and all the character development leading up to this.
episode 129, episode 229, and episode 237🔥🔥
“The Pride” line will always be legendary to me because it was one of the lead in commercials for DBZ during the original Toonami days
His speech always makes me cry. For them to question his methods is insulting to him. He has that level of respect for Goku that makes this scene more emotional.
MEANINGLESS HUH? What do you know about meaningless?!
- that whole speech is a scene i regularly watch almost every couple of months.
It says so much about dedication and purpose, even though Vegeta's intentions do not justify his actions.
The Message hits deep into your soul.
5:17 The most Iconic Smile in the history of DBZ
"I have within me the blood of a Saiyan Prince, he is nothing but a joke!" Definitely one of my favorite lines in the show, easy top 3 for my favorite speech in the show.
“WHAT DO YOU KNOW IF MEANINGLESS!!??” and everything after that is top tier writing and voice acting. Peak DBZ
This episode might be my favorite. So great to see how excited she got watching this. I remember hearing Vegeta’s speech for the first time. Purely epic.
One of the best moments of Vegeta for me. The dialogues in this arc are so impactful, I miss this Goku
One of Vegeta's best lines in the entire series. Nothing he said in super even comes close
Nothing anyone said in super ever came close 😂 man z was really something else
"Trespass into the domain of the Gods, and use it to conquer Jiren!!" I'm sorry, but that was pretty epic also.
@@PgLangGang that's probably his best line in super but doesn't come close to his epic lines he had here. Nowhere near as impactful. I think the fact that it is to push Goku to conveniently master a power of gods within a couple minutes cheapens it a bit too
only actual line from vegeta that felt like dbz was, “you say im arrogant i say damn right, that’s pride, pride in the saiyan i am, the might prince of the ultimate warrior race.” other than that dbz lines shit on dbs especially this episodes lines
@Zarrar A. Ali I agree, but in the moment, it was a pretty dope line. But yeah, it doesn't hold a candle to this, but to be fair, some of Vegeta's speeches in dbz are all time legendary anime wise.
This episode always gives me the goosebumps.. every scene.. this is why we watch ocean dub.. the other versions are boring and can never compare.. you never hear people recite dbz kai scenes, its always bruce faulconers version.. everything about this version of dbz makes it top tier than the others. Thats why when people react to the other version i don’t even bother to watch
This is the Funimation dub, not Ocean.
Falconers music embraces the tension of DBZ far better than any other version, an even better job than what the creator's intended themselves and its nothing more than a miracle that its happened. At 15 I got a huge buzz from this and at 37 its still exactly the same, it never ages and it never gets boring, countless times I could replay these scenes.
I'd go as far as to even dub men who pref another version "a fucking pansy!" and I mean zero offense but Falconers version just compliments this top piece of japanese culture too well!
Genuine question: Have you actually taken the time to sit and watch the original Japanese dub and score to compare before making these comments?
@@lololol924 I genuinely have and the music of the original is too loud and tries too much to take charge of the scene which is often a common mistake for the jap version.
Faulconer's music "graces" over scenes and its not trying to force your emotions, which is difficult enough even for a top movie production but it simply sets the scene immediately and hangs there beautifully and if the scene calls for it subtly rises to meet it unlike the Jap version keen to blow the trumpet for all its worth to reaffirm the obvious!
@@lololol924 yes, i most definitely did.. its the reason why i said you can't compare.. because I've seen them all.. don't get me wrong. They gave alil bit of stuff that was good. But I struggled to finish it.. just so i can witness the differences in them. To the point i started falling asleep on it.. i did the same with GT.. and im no different with just about any anime. For example, i watched both sub and dub just to witness differences in them. Especially if its a good anime
-MEANINGLESS, HUH? WHAT DO YOU KNOW OF MEANINGLESS? Spend most of your life ruled by another! Watch your race dwindle to a handful! And then, tell me what has more meaning than your own strength! I have in me the blood of a Saiyan prince. He is nothing but a joke! Yet I've had to watch him surpass me in strength, my destiny thrown to the wayside. He's... he's even saved my life like I were a helpless child. He has stolen my honor, and his debts, must be paid!
-TELL ME, IS THAT SLAVERY WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT!
-YOU MAY HAVE INVADED MY MIND IN MY BODY, BUT THERE IS ONE THING A SAIYAN ALWAYS KEEP
HIS PRIDEEEE!!????
Vegeta has the best lines. This and one against kid buu with blood on his face are the ultimate one.
went back to rewatch that part just because of this comment man scared the shit out of buu
"What's....so...funny....FREAK???? WHAT ARE YOU GAWKING AT????"
My favorite line is when Vegeta says "meaningless huh? What do you know of meaningless. Live your life ruled by another (aka Frieza) watch your race dwindle to a handful and then tell what has more meaning then your own strength."
This is the episode that firmly cemented Vegeta as my favorite character in the series. Even like 20 years later from when I saw this episode on Toonami as a kid, I watch the clips when I need the motivation or the determination to feel pride in myself.
“This doesn’t concern you. This is between me and your circus clown of a father.”
What is it with Vegeta and clowns haha
Kinda the same thing with Frieza and monkeys.
@@jeffa127 I guess name calling was his only super power
Vegeta’s speech really shows how much of a psychological scare Freeza left on him. He had to go work for Freeza then watch him destroy his home world and basically the entire saiyan race.
To Vegeta, Goku being the one to defeat Freeza was humiliating to him. Vegeta wanted to defeat Freeza himself to avenge his father and fellow saiyan warriors. As well as prove to himself that he can protect his own people. Goku considers himself an Earthling over a Saiyan. So to Vegeta it’s not even like a True Saiyan defeated Freeza.
Madison: Majin Vegeta isn't that evil. He just wants to fight Goku.
Me: Didn't he just kill two stands full of people along with parts of the city that were behind them, that's still pretty evil. I don't even think Babadi told him to do that, that was all Vegeta.
JK I love your videos.
Goku vs Majin Vegeta has the best build up I’ve ever seen. It’s crazy how fans literally had to wait years to see a rematch between them, and during that time they’ve been through so much which made this worth the wait.
Please excuse my language but that Vegeta speech is the MOST FUCKING AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER WITNESS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the most re watch scene of all time. Im glad Madison is able to experience what we went though as a kid.
It's not just Vegeta's birthright that makes him upset at Goku. It's his passion to be the greatest Sayian alive (reference back to the 1st time Vegeta went Super Sayian) as he truly believed that he was the one destined to be the best (flashback to Vegeta's father telling him he has the potential in his blood). He is upset at Goku for being the first Sayian in 1000 years to achieve the legendary state which he believed was his birthright and destiny. Not only did Goku defeat their enemy but has continually surpassed Vegeta which resulted in his wounded prided.
this is one of the best episodes in the entire show just because of vegeta and his speeches and actions.
The SSJ2 Goku & Vegeta power ups are absolutely sick 🤯🤯🤯 🔥
So easily a Top-3 DBZ episode. There are so many crazy twists and epic moments. Vegeta's speech, Goku threatening Supreme Kai in a completely uncharacteristic move
Insane.
Vegeta wouldn't be smiling so much if he knew how strong Goku is, too bad he won't use his full power against that proud fool.
We reached one of my top 3 favorite fights in the whole DBZ arcs. Love to see her next reaction to them.
Oh man i love Goku's heroic speech to Gohan that gave me chills even Vegeta's pride Great Googly Moogly
Vegeta’s theme & his speech was so amazing like omg he’s such an awesome character!
The Buu saga may have some lackluster moments, but the dialogue is some of the best in the entire series. It's so nice to see people react to this great show.
The arc in general was the best one in my opinion. I'll admit it had it's downside with the Gotenks arc but overall it was amazing.
Buu saga could have been the best saga if there was tighter editing. Parts just drag on and the plot spins its wheels too much. Mystic Gohan, gotenks, vegito are all good individual moments but wreck the pacing of the story
@@Bitchslapper316best one ? Nah lol not even close
@@niceandflyy What arc had a better Vegeta story?
I can't wait to see her reaction to episode 245. Really gets to the core, if y'all know what I mean.
Good thing Madison avoids comments, cause of insensitive fools like you. Did you spill directly ? No, but your comment indirectly states an emotional episode.
Forgot what episode that is
@@wendellswisereaction8608 Go even further beyond
The animation and music during the Goku and Vegeta going SSJ2 scene is amazing. I still get chills watching that scene.
This is only the beginning of the epic moments for vegita. This is the sage that made me respect and appreciate vegita 10 times more. Love it
She's not wrong- this might be one of the greatest episodes of DBZ ever if not the best. From an actual storytelling point it did SO much. Like I feel this point right here is the exact moment that the whole story of Dragonball circles back on itself and it's so so epic.
Goku and Vegeta both achieved SSJ2 during the 7-year timeskip. But this is just the beginning, there are lots more cool moments to come.
Nah goku did but vegeta got it from the powe boost he received from babidi
@@oogaboogie No, Vegeta already achieved SSJ2 prior to Babidi's power boost. He needed the power boost to close the gap between he and Goku.
@@oogaboogie No, Vegeta already said he surpassed Gohan. Meaning he kept training and achieved SSJ2. He also analyzed Goku during the fight against Yakon and realized he also has reached SSJ2.
The majin "power" boost is insignificant, the main reason he let himself fall under the spell is so his emotions won't get in the way. It's his mid-life crisis, he wanted to be his old self again, the edgy Vegeta before he got tamed by Bulma.
@@Tribeless_Nomad no not true they both had ssj2 but goku's ssj2 was stronger he literally says during there fight he let himself get enslaved to close the gap in power
@@keljerel exactly
The supreme Kai, at the time of this saga, is considered to be the most revered and sacred of all and any people in the universe of dragon ball even in the afterlife... Therefore, having Goku out of anyone actually deciding to go through him directly speaks volume as to how serious he was about settling things with Majin Vegeta.
6:11 this scene I wanted her to see. Vegeta going crazy and hell bells is playing. Vegeta speech is priceless.
Vegeta is such an arrogant and prideful Sayian and still my favorite character when I was a teenager
i hated him as a kid but now i love him with all my heart
One of the best animated episodes! The animation and drawing of the characters in this episode is top-notch. You can feel the strength, the energy and power of Son Goku and Vegeta literally through the screen. The SSJ aura looks amazing too.
Vegeta is growing and growing... Such good memories..and we are just starting😆
During the vegeta speech there was a famous periody line everyone use when this scene got played a lot and that was "my fries!!!!!". Fun fact vegeta is the only anime character and all any types of movies and tv series where the person is being controlled and vegeta just pushes them out but still kept the powers. Even dabura even said no being could do that being mind control and still have a mind of its own.
1 of the many reasons why I love Vegeta his RESOLVE IS ABSOLUTE whatever he has his mind set to he achieves it !
I know I just left a comment a few minutes ago from this one, but can I just say how much I'm loving watching these episodes along with you guys? Your reactions and emotions while watching these back again (especially Madison's first-time reactions) just remind me of how much and why I loved this entire series. Not just the Majin saga either, but just everything as a whole. There's so many other moments I can't wait for you all to reach! You guys are awesome!
Btw, I'm playing through DBZ Kakarot for a 3rd time (mostly cause the PS5 upgrade was recently released and WOW, can I tell the difference haha) and I can't wait to see Madison play through that game! Haha
These are the strongest ssj2 transformations that you will ever see! Way stronger than gohan and cell
Nope, in this saga you will see 2 way more powerful.
Naah Gohan training on the Kai world is much stronger than these 2
@@nemesisop8903 But we didn't saw him transforming to ssj2, he went stright to his mystic form.
Gotenks might be up there
@@SacrificeBreedsSuccess Did Gotenks ever go ssj2? I always thought he went straight from ssj to ssj3. I guess it doesn't really matter since ssj Gotenks is much stronger than either Goku or Vegeta shown in this episode.
He doesn't want to kill Goku, he just wants to beat him.
Vegeta hands down always has the best quotes in all of Dragon Ball. Saiyan pride displayed at it's finest here 🔥
15:01 *Simply iconic!* A moment that we always come back to and that will live forever
“Spend most of YOUR life ruled by another...watch YOUR race dwindle to a handful...and then, tell me what has more meaning than your own strength!”
I think this shows how much the trauma of living under that bastard Frieza affected Vegeta’s thinking. He had to watch that smug prick wipe out his father and his entire race, constantly live with the racism against his kind by Frieza and his underlings. At some point, that changes how you view the world. Vegeta has from a young age been seeking to gain so much strength that he would never again have to live under another being’s heel. So that he would never again have to suffer the indignity of slavery and forced servitude to a creep like Frieza. The fact that Goku has somehow continued to leap past him in power reminds Vegeta of his own shortcomings and it’s an insult to his honor that he cannot bear.
the goosebumps never go away for this scene ive watched this scene a ton of times and those goosebumps always come back
If you picked up on it, Vegeta called Gohan by his name when talking about Goku. Very rare Vegeta does that with Gohan. Usually calls him boy. He does that with Piccolo by usually calling him the Namek and Goku by Kakorot of course but hearing Vegeta saying Gohan, Goku & Piccolo is very unusual and rare but kind of cool. Something so little but I love that attention to detail
i would’ve liked that line more if gohan vs dabura didn’t exist since that was just a shameful moment for gohan and if it didn’t happen we would’ve seen that vegeta had a shit ton of respect of gohans fight against cell
The pride speech is easily one of my favorite scenes in this arc. My favorite scene is right around the corner, and it chokes me up everytime.
I love this version of Goku so much more than the overly goofy version in DB Super.
Get ready. Some of the most insane dialogues I have ever heard I dbz. Vegeta at his vegeta peak for sure
Did you know piccolo was originally the one planned to fall under babidis spell but the fans were crying out for another Goku vs Vegeta rematch so Toriyama decided to change it and create Majin Vegeta 😮
Goku and vegeta already did achieved ssj2 during 7 years of training time passed by while gohan too busy studying during peaceful life after cell
Don’t call Goku a circus clown. Went all super saiyan after hearing that! One of my fav episodes
Vegeta was told from a child that he was the chosen one to Avenge his race from Frieza's tyranny...and Goku did it on Namek. Vegeta feels that Goku doing this has prevented him from achieving his destiny of becoming the first Super Saiyan and Avenging his race. Also his honour is like a source of Samurai honour...it empowers him. He calls it Saiyan pride. So by defeating Goku he will regain his Saiyan pride/honour.
GOKU THREATENS THE SUPREME KAI AND SOMEONE ALSE ALMOST DEAD WHILE SLEEPING
Just say it, it’s Beerus. Madison doesn’t read the comments.
I always thought that this was so stupid. So how come out of all the supreme kais in this universe who were killed by Buu, the one supreme Kai who was literally the lowest rank of the 4 and the youngest was the one that Beerus is ironically tied to
Vegeta wanted more power. Is it slavery when you get what you want? Chills..... Even Majin Vegeta seemed a little shocked at first when Goku was about to blast Supreme Kai.
Vegeta is an anime/manga GOAT
I love when supreme kai calls the sayain rivalry pointless Vegeta takes it super personal saying "pointless Spend your life ruled by another watch your race dwindle down to a handfull then tell me if strength isn't the only thing that matters" full on boss moment
Crazy as Vegeta gets, he really is the one with the most growth as a character, especially in this arc.
Vegeta is a prince, the prince/king of the entire saiyan race. Goku is basically a foot soldier. Imagine a foot soldier being stronger than the king?
15:09 the exact moment she becomes a vegeta fan!
_"...And his debt, MUST! BE! PAID!!!"_
And get ready, because this just the start of the epic dialogues from the Prince of Sayians.
This is my favorite non transformation/fighting episode by far. The dialogue has so many memorable lines, the music is perfect and the way the story has built up to this fight is genius I love everything about this episode
I was a little upset that madison has watched all these dbz episodes but still didn't understand why vegeta wanted to fight goku so much and also why Supreme Kai wanted goku to not fight and stood in front of him. this episode shows two sides of both characters that would and did go out of there way, vegeta killing innocent lives, goku threatening the Supreme Kai, a God. vegetas strength is all that he's known up until goku. after his fight with goku all he's wanted since then was a chance to finally surpass him in strength
I love how when Goku raised his hand to Shin, even _Vegeta_ was surprised. It was so out of character for him in that moment. Vegeta really got under Goku’s skin that badly, that he would basically _threaten the Supreme Kai._
For Madison, the characters age in the show and ever wonders how old they are heres a fun fact Goku is 37 years old here but because he was dead for 7 years he was only 30 phsyically.
Goku and Chichi had Gohan at like 19 or 20 years old. Which was common in the 80s and early 90s. Chi chi has prize money and her dad was the Ox King who has a castle. Money wasnt an issue for them.
Chi Chi is 37 in this saga. Vegeta is 42(physically 44). They also look young because of Saiyan genes. That's why Mr. Satan looks old at 38. I got my facts from DB wiki.
Goku was 12 at the start of DB. 25 in the Vegeta/Frieza saga. Bulma is in her early 40s a year younger than Vegeta. Yamaha is Bulmas age and Krillin is 38 in this saga. Krillin looks younger because he trains more than Mr. Satan. Buu is actually as old as the universe
I enjoy you and Madison's reaction to this episode. Like you and everyone else, I revisit this episode too. It never fails to give me goosebumps and make me shed a manly tear or two.
It kinda makes sense, think about it, veget only formed a temporary alliance with goku on namek to fight frieza, after that goku went missing for about a year before he came back to earth, after that they had to train for the androids, then after the androids cell came, once cell was defeated goku died, all this time vegeta wanted to be stronger than goku and wanted a re-match, he was forced to wait 7 years for goku to come back and finally get a chance to fight him, and that opportunity kept getting pushed aside, vegeta in his heart at this time never truly turned good, he mostly just stayed neutral and only intervened to test himself or if his pride was on the line (except for when trunks got killed by cell) because he had nowhere else to go and had a score to settle with goku.
"Is it slavery if you get what you want" reminds me of a gowr story. It kinda goes a horse had an enemy, he found a human who said he would kill it if he rides him. The horse lets him put a saddle on him and let's the man ride him. They kill the enemy but the man wouldnt get off. He rides him slaying many people never letting him leave his service
easily top 5 favorite episodes. wasn’t even fighting, it was just tension filled along with vegetas epic dialogue. vegas pride speech still sent chills and Goku threatening kai was a shock factor…. never saw that coming.
I love how Supreme Kai went from super stoic in the tournament to "Who ARE YOU PEOPLE?!" lol.
I love that fucking line he really is like yall tweaking lol
He's literally a meme 😂
I don't think Vegeta necessarily wants to kill Goku at this point he just wants to prove that he is stronger than Goku at that point course we all know and Madison will find out it's just about proving who stronger
We love Majin vegeta, this arc holds a special place in my heart, I had most of it on vhs and it would make a picture if you had them all
Smaller details to point out for SSJ2 on Goku and Vegeta, the big give away is the lighting surrounding the body, but on top of that, depending on animators, about 2-3 of Goku's bangs go upward, leaving only 3 around his forehead.
For Vegeta, there is a slight difference in his hair, at least from what I've been able to tell. It seems vegeta in base and SSJ form has a massive strand of hair from his widows peak going up, but in SSJ2 that peak splits into 2 seperate spikes.
Vegeta's hair since it has less to design with, has very interesting ways to show the forms. Such as with Super Vegeta, the hair becomes longer, and pulled back, and the sharpness becomes thinner. (Again, depending on animator)
That's more or less it for this topic. :D
That scene where Goku stands up to the Supreme kai is better in Dragon ball Z kai, there is no monologue, just Goku standing there with that energy blast aimed at him, then he steps aside.
it may be the least popular arc as a whole, but it has some of the greatest moments of the series
I always thought the Cell games arc was worse. The only great things about it were Gohan turning Ss2 and beating Cell. The rest of that arc makes no sense and is full of forced tension. The Cell jrs for example are one of the dumbest things in that entire saga.
What always hits me is when Goku threatens the Supreme Kai, it was completely out of nowhere. Gohan is questioning his father, The Supreme Kai accepts his fate and even Vegeta is shocked! I know Vegeta is loved by all (and myself included) but it’s moments like this that allow Goku to shine. One of my fave characters in any show and he is the main character true but the way he causes the other characters to react is always intriguing.
You should drop this episode right now
Goku had majin vegeta shook for a sec when he threatened supreme Kai lol
16 episodes left boys and girl till you all know what :)
In the first french version, the translations took some liberty and I feel is way better than original. Vegeta says in his french speach:
"This man(when pointing goku) dared to humilat me in front of all people I loved. He has no right to be stronger than me ! I've been training for this moment for 7 years and I wont leave here before I beat him, is that clear enough ??!!. He saved my life once while I didn't ask him for nothing. Grrr. I CAN'T STAND HIM! BRING ME BACK MY DIGNITY!!"
French voice actor of vegeta is known to be one of the best voice in all trabslated animation from JP to french
I need an edit of Vegeta saying "theres one thing a saiyan always keeps..." Cut to Madison screaming "HIS PRIDDDEEE!!!" :D you two are the best, thanks for the vids!
You have to remember Vegeta is a pure blooded Saiyan and they crave the fight, the power, the hunger. On top of that Vegeta is extremely prideful. It's a spit in the face for Goku to beat him and even save him.
his delivery of "HIS DEBT, MUST BE, PAID". WOW
one of the funniest parts about this whole fight between them is when vegeta comes back to life, or rather back to earth and looks at goku and gets pissed because he learned of SS3 and acts as if he had cheated on him, lmao even if he hates it, kakarot is what pushes vegeta to be stronger and im glad he finally realizes it in the end
This is probably the first time 2 super Saiyans fight each other.
I think the reason why the Supreme Kai was against just blowing the ship up until now was that he just wanted to play it safe. The safest option was to prevent Majin Buu from hatching. There were just too many risks if they blew up the ship and awakened Buu even if Buu isn't at full power, for all we know at the time, Buu at half-power could've still been stronger than Goku, Vegeta & Gohan. Supreme Kai's plan was the only one that didn't have any risks/gambles involved.
