Thanks for this video. I’m White Mountain Apache but was adopted out as a baby. Raised Roman Catholic. The older I got, the more I felt that I don’t fit into that religion and found my roots and tribe. 💕
i am apache aswell just know your ancestors see you and you are acknowledged
Hello ! I am French and have always felt deep respect for you, native Americans, among the rares ones over the earth to respect nature, human beings who have suffered so much but are still up and proud.
It is a pleasure and a honour to be able to watch ceremonies from your ancestral culture.
May your great gods bless you all !
Even though I'm not Apache, I have great respect for you and your people. I'm sorry about the past and your ancestors you lost, but I love your pride and courage. You will always be my favorite people. May the great spirits bless you all!
Joseph Schmidt thank you for your kind words
@@JustinSusan You are most welcome! Keep the pride!
GOD bless you.
As a German i'm really impressed, there is so much more about Native culture than they show us in normal movies or in books!
Ute J.k. Bemsel thank you for watching!!!! Appreciate the kind words
True statement. Even the history has been butchered.
Read into Herman Lehman. A german man who lived with Apache and Comanche since his youth. Very very gruesome but inspiring story. I married a German woman so now she is learning our ways as I am as well. We have a beautiful german/apache/spanish daughter.
Most of our histories were and are passed down in stories. Very few are written down. And a lot of other ceremonies like these don’t allow outsiders or video devices. There are hundreds of different tribes across North America and we all have different beliefs and ceremonies but our hearts beat to the same drum. :)
As for the German you need too myed your own business stay out of my American native family life's. Do not trust you at all I don't like Germans you could be our enemy.
I'm apache and I'm going to be having my dance soon in September and all these videos that are showing up in my recommendations are really getting me excited:))
Thank you for watching!
omg ur an army too !! i hope u had a great dance

It's good to see our brother hood from other parts of the world enjoy our culture here in arizona yavapai apache.
Nízhoní I am Navajo from piñon AZ to see people carry on a tradition is the most beautiful sight and feeling in the world Ahéhee’☺️I just LOVE my heritage it’s the most beautiful blessing I could have🙏❣️
Alot first nations are lost, from addictions, or destroyed by colonization from residential school and bible, ceremonies like this are great models from our past to keep alive and empower our youth, amazing story, keep moving forward. Thank you for teaching us.
I do not know my tribes, no dna test will show, its undocumented and finding gravestones and my family tree genealogy has taken much time...but by word of my elders, I am a mix of apache, navajo, as well as Mayan blood descending from Mexico. It's tough to hear the voice of this woman because it hits so strong, but we are still here. By blood forever. I am from south texas, embraced with my mexican heritage as well as my native and indigenous root. This is beautiful that tradition will always remain and not be forgotten. Love to all you out there. Do not lose hope, our day will come again.
When I was a young boy I was privileged to attend a few Sunrise Events in Whiteriver Arizona a long time ago. Also the rodeos at the fairgrounds. My mother was honored one time with pollen. Too young to understand much of the ceremony. Peace and prosperity to the Apache.
Wanna meet Native Americans so bad. Love from the Philippines. ❤️🇵🇭
Thank you very much for watching!!!
i'm mescalero apache and our ceremonies are very similar, ours lasts four days and she dances all night on the fourth night. during the four days she stays in a tipi. she's blessed by the white painted woman and our crown dancers. music is a slower pace/lower voices as well. cool to see the differences and similarities between apache tribes.

When she talks about prayer in the end of the video: Do they pray to the christian god or did some of the natives keep their traditional religions? Just wondering, cause I thought these religions died out, but it seems weird to pray to the christian god, while celebrating a tradional ceremony.
I’m Swiss, so I don’t really know much about the Native American culture, but it’s really interesting to watch these videos. It’s great to see that some of the traditions survived.
Majority of people mix the two together.. I agree, in my opinion they shouldn’t mix but than again it’s what an individual believes and you can’t change that. I honestly chose to be fully traditional yet I have not came across anyone else who shares the same beliefs/thoughts as me. All I hear is about the Bible, god, angels etc. not that there’s anything wrong with it, but that is not my belief.
This people pray to and know the Almighty Creator of the whole earth, the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing wrong with doing a traditional ceremony while praising and praying for God's protection and blessing over them, and it's the right thing to do. There are certain dances that are not done anymore, because they were evil and demonic and glorified evil things.
