I'm going back in time I never got famous like you Tommy.I fished with Halifax largely in winter keagues with great anglers Brian Worsnop,Mick Bottomley etc Always love your rivers vibe.Well done
Glad you like it tommy, I live local and have fished it for nearly 40 years, it's improved massively since the industrial factories have declined, the water used to have a nasty smell to it when i was a kid folks used to shake their heads and say "thal not catch owt in theyere young un" and we didn't get much either than a few roach & skimmers.. Perch were unheard of, but as the water quality has improved so has the diversity of species. . p.s give stewed wheat a go for the better roach ! 👍
Drove over it the A1 bridge last weekend and thought wow love to fish that. Going up north to Sunderland. But i do that with every bridge over rivers 😂. River ure looks fab to dont know much about that.
proper match fishing that..gotta use your head and work for it..... i used to be a match nut mid 1980's..got to a fair club standard..but kids and life stopped it .. came back for fun during lockdown aged 55... still most of my old mid 80's tackle intact... i still approach it like its a match.. me an the missus fish a double swim and just fish for bites.. been fishing a silvers lake with mixed fish..its ok its kinda steady ... but.. last week we tried our first commercial..midweek nobody there... to say it was easy was an understatement..we had a great day i cant knock it.. just fished 3bb wagglers with clutch set light 4lb bottoms it was great the missus was poppin em out as much as myself..but.... its not proper fishing like this... its just not
