After the Events of the Phantom Menace, jumpcut to 10 years later, Senator Amidala went with Chancellor Palpatine's advice to ask support to keep watch from anyone hunting her down. This leads to the two Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi and Young Anakin Skywalker Now Jedi Padawan protecting and watching over the Senator.
