- If I’m being honest, the curl pattern coupled with the length of Raquel Welch’s Wavy Day just didn’t suit me….thankfully with heat friendly fibers, I can make this wig my own! Check out this makeover of Wavy Day in the color Shaded Iced Latte Macchiato.

Thank you for posting I got this wig once my hair fell out after my second chemo and I loved it for a few wears but don't like the style of curls and it cost ,e a lot so that being said, I can now go straighten it!! Thank you following you on Instagram and Wig pro as well!! THANK YOU!!!

The OnPoint application of shaded biscuit is very warm on the one I have and it looks the same on yours. The wavy day application of shaded biscuit is a very cool icy blonde. I had editors pick on iced latte macchiato and it was very warm with minimal highlights. I keep seeing it look so light and bright on some reviewers, and, it makes me want to order it but I’m hesitant because of the one I got on editors pick.

Shaded Cappuccino is such a pretty color! Wavy Day is so beautiful on a lot of women, but sometimes it just doesn't suit US - so glad this inspired you to make her your own! Thank you for your kind words!

I am looking for my first wig and am very tempted to get wavy day but like it straightened as you showed but afraid it might ruin it. How did you straighten your other wavy day? Is this same length as simmer? I saw another of your videos with this wavy day straightened. I love it straight.
Hey there! Wavy Day is about an inch longer (curly obviously) than Simmer....very similar styles though!
If you wash it do the curls come back?
With heat defiant fibers, once you style it with heat it will stay with the last style you put into it after washing. So if I were to wash it now it would be straight, however, I can put curls back into it with heat and then it would remain with the curled style after washing again. Hope that makes sense!
I think the word “Iced” in the description, would mean it was more cool and not golden. I think it’s pretty on you❤both ways😊
Yep! I think what is difficult is for women who are new to wigs and are just starting out are most likely going to be going off of the actual written color description and thumbnails...which is COMPLETELY opposite. The Shaded Biscuit thumbnail looks very cool and icy and is described as "Light Ash Blonde Evenly Blended with Cool Platinum Blonde with Dark Roots" and the SILM thumbnail looks to be a warmer blonde and is described as "Honey Blonde shaded with Cool Blonde"....that's why women being able to see these colors in real life and on real women is so important!
Where is the straightening comb listed on Amazon? Saw tons of straighteners & brushes but not the comb.

I am very frustrated though that I live in Israel and raquel Welch's wigs aren't sold in my country...I want to buy a wig online but unfortunately I'm scared that the wig wouldn't arrive and be stolen...
The problem with all of the American wig companies is that they only give a service about shipping problems to people who live in the USA...
But what about people like me? I want to buy and enjoy raquel's wigs as well but the international shipping policy to outside customers is quite harsh...well to bad because the customers from Israel and other countries feel frustrated and they want to enjoy raquel's wigs as well...
I think u are a great reviewer and have a lot of potential to succeed..I wish one of u reviewers could make a video about the international shipping policy of wigs and the problems with it...

How did you straighten it? Where can I order it and does it come in petite size? thank you.
I just went in sections with a flat iron and then ended up also using a hot comb to really smooth out the ends! Here is a link to order it from Wig Studio 1 (where I purchased mine) - just a tip, usually they run additional 30% off flash sales every weekend, so try purchasing during that time! Also, this only comes in an average cap, however, compared to my other RW wigs, felt a little more snug. It also has adjustable straps to tighten if necessary. Hope this helps!

Do you know when you straighten the heat friendly and wash again does it fall back to waves/curls or straight.?Just out of curiosity as I would love to be able to do both but find it way tougher to curl wigs than when I had my bio hair
Hi, Katie! With these HD fibers, once they are heat styled they will remain in that style until you heat style again. So if it is curly, then washed it will dry curly. If I straighten it, then wash it it will dry straight. Hope that helps!

Love both the before and after looks! Have you ever straightened Simmer or seen it straightened? My Simmer has seen some better days and I am wondering if straightening her will give her back some life, but I worry she has too much permatease (which I did already tame down a bit, but it’s still there) to look right straightened. Thoughts?
I have not straightened Simmer, however, I know someone who has (@wigfessionals), and I don't believe she liked it straight because of the way the layers were on that one. If your Simmer needs some life, you can still re-curl it in that similar pattern and it will help to revive the fibers!

I think it is gorgeous on you. The fiber is just a no. It does not last.
I will say, heat defiant fibers are a learning curve...however, I think once you get the hang of what they need and how to properly care for them they can definitely last! They require heat to stay smooth, so it's a must to heat style them every so often (I typically use heat on them every 2-3 wears). I also use Estethica's Revitalize & Shine Mist every couple days to keep it moisturized, and then also Simply Stylin's Silicone Spray on the ends when the ends are feeling more tangly. I also use the Bambu Silicone Deep Conditioner after shampoo and let that soak in a while before giving a good rinse and it softens it right back up!

Personally, I love the waves and piece-ness. The color is beautiful. Why would you get a wig called Wavy Day, if you don’t like curls.
Hi there! I love curls and have other wigs that have waves and curls. As mentioned in the video I didn’t like this particular curl pattern ON ME. I’ve seen Wavy Day on a number of other women and they look beautiful…it just didn’t feel like me, and guess what? That is OK. The lesson I wanted other women to know is that we can see a wig on other women and get it and for whatever reason it just doesn’t feel quite right on us…it’s perfectly fine, and it doesn’t mean we can’t make that wig work for us.
