Extremely helpful. Thank you. After watching you do it, I'm getting ready to order a kit for my CS-300. I put a new carb in my Echo string trimmer but this looks a bit harder.
I'd actually rather remove the limiter caps but I've tried the drywall screw method and the hemostat method and can't remove them. Also the idle adjust screw doesn't seem to want to take a Phillips head screwdriver. So my only choice now is replace the carb which will eliminate those two problems.
Unless you have a suggestion on how to get those caps off and what screwdriver to use on the idle screw....

flathead and yeah sometimes a pain just retry the wood screw in a different position and sometimes i even use an impact driver.

Torque specs for carburetor mounting bolts: "You wanna get em in just enough to kind of snug a little bit?" 😂😂😂😂 funny thing is i know just exactly what you mean lol.

i try to be descriptive. and lets face it 99 percent of the people trying this dont even have a torque wrench and if the did they would know the torque specs are by the diameter of the bolt. like these are 5 mm bolts so torque is around 7.5 pounds.

Thanks for the video it was helpful but the part I was most interested in, the routing of the fuel lines, was lost in the camera work. It looks like you did it all yourself and it would have been more helpful to have someone keep the procedure in the frame.

I got a kit just like yours on ebay and was really disappointed after i was done with the repair only to find out i restored the saw to start and run just like when it was new except i noticed it now has a fuel leak i never noticed before. My disappointment grew bigger when for the life of me, I could not understand why in gods name was the failed rubber part not included in the kit and why i cannot find where to buy it easily. Fml. Its the rubber bulk head bushing that plugs into a hole in the gas tank that has a hose barb for the vent line that attaches to the left of the carb.
