8:55 when you become really good at helm you can keep a half or quarter sail in any rotation. Its always best to keep minimal speed for cannon stability. In a parallel always match the speed of the other boat is another tip. 10:50 This is a very good tip, I find that a lot of players weaknesses is that they don't match the turning with the sails which leads them to over or under turn. Overall great vid, this is one of the best guides I've seen out of all the helm guides.

Another quick tip for helm: when your cannoneer gets one balled and your ship has holes. The helm should grab a bucket or two before reviving teammate. ;)

High Quality video! Only helming issue I saw is when your cannon had angle, and you were standing up front of the boat instead of the back half where the helm should usually post up at in case of boarders or immediate need to readjust or bucket. Otherwise great job!

Well One big tip I would suggest is always shoot off to islands when you can and jump off for floating barrels(they have some of the best supplies in the game)
