One of my most memorable hunts was stalking into a really thick brush area with my longbow and arrows I made. After about three hours of one step-wait 5 minutes-another step I spotted a nice 4x4 about 35 yards ahead. I moved slightly faster lol and got to about 18-20 yards. He never knew what hit him. This was over 30 years ago and that two blade Zwicky did its job. I watched the buck fall at about 60 yards. I wore hand made high top leather moccasins and a full loose leaf camo suit. Cam face and camo gloves. I can remember every detail

Zach’s style is perfect for these western hunts. Love the wild mans run n gun hunting, you just don’t see anyone doing that in the whitetail woods and swamps and have success like Zach does!

THP is great but I wish they went back to how they used to hunt, white tails in the woods. Those were my favorite videos to watch! White tail hunting in different states vs Western stalk hunting with a bow.
They still are, Zach just lives out West now and has opportunities at different species that they still wanna showcase.

This year THP seems different, just feels slightly off in my opinion.
Hopefully it’ll pick up in the coming weeks. Ima keep watching though haha.

There is nothing like spot and stalk with archery gear..especially out west. The terrain, the wind, the animals. It takes you from the highest highs to the lowest lows... Become addicted to it. Well done.

I think the only time Zach has ever slowed down is when he reaches the animal he is stalking or when he gets back to camp from packing out an elk.

Shot a nice 8pt in SW Wisconsin tonight. The buck's were on the move and the were moving early. Saw 4 buck and one doe, they were hitting acorns and alfalfa.

That's why he's my favorite to watch. His energy is awesome and if you pay attention to him you can really learn. Not pointing anything out but with some even though they may take a deer it's just plain boring to watch

We got hit extremely hard here in Idaho with the EHD this year. The little area my son and myself hunt ( couple hundred acres) we lost probably 75 to 85% of our deer herd. And now I hear we got CWD down southern Idaho😡😞

Okay, obviously Zach has given us some pretty epic hunts over the years, no question about it. I love THP and have been a faithful follow since pretty much the beginning. However, is it just me or does it seem like Zach goofs off more then he hunts lately? I get the impression he hasn't been taking the hunting very seriously this year.
I love it!!! If you cant have fun aint no point in Hunting. Id love to have a hunting partner like zach
@@markosborne2663 I'm all about having a good time while hunting but it just seems like the goofing off has notched up this year. Just my opinion.
You have to remember also this is hours of film edited down to 26 minutes. The amount of serious moments vs goofy moments has a lot to do with editing choices.
