*While there are LITERALLY ZERO known voice recordings by Edward VII, it seems likely to have been rather similar to that of George V (albeit raspier [Edward VII LOVED to Party, remember!], and with a slight German accent [despite English being his native tongue]).*

There is absolutely NO reason to think Edward would have had ANY German accent. Even Wilhelm, born and raised in Germany, is said to have spoken English with no German accent. It's said that he sounded like any Englishman. I assume this is meant as some jab about the British royal family being "German?"

No, there are multiple accounts of Edward having had a German accent while speaking English. German was his first language also, unlike Wilhelm he was isolated as a child. With only his siblings and parents to talk to, parents with heavy German sympathies and mostly spoke that language at home, so he had a thick accent in his teens but it lessened when he became an adult and went out some more. @@SR-iy4gg

Yes and same with his wife Queen Alexandra, who lived another 15 years after his death and continued to be an active member of the royal family. There a many video recordings of her but no voice recordings of her.

@@SR-iy4gg Actually it has been documented that Bertie spoke with a German accent. Partially because of the fact that he was isolated as a young boy

@@SR-iy4gg no. She always made it a point to find the cameras. Photography was a huge interest of hers and she understood the connection between the public and photos (and later videos).

Edward VII was so overweight. He had trouble standing up and sitting down due to his weight. Poor man!
