Eurovision is my passion. Eurovision was my work and I am still gladly part of the professional community of this project. I started at Eurovision 2016 as Czech Head of Delegation. Such a Eurovision story! Form Eurovision in Sweden I went to antoher ESC experience. Kiiv 2017 Eurovision. This was my first and last failiur. Sometimes you need to learn trough losing even it is not plasant. We ended up 13 in the semifinal, second best score of Eurovision Czechia back then. But after this we established ESCZ national selection format. It was mostly held online. Because of this we found Mikolas Josef who went 6th at Eurovision 2018 in Portugal. Than 11th with Lake Malawi, at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Eurovision story is crazy. After finding all candidates and songs (-1) for ESCZ 2020 I resigned and left the television for working freelance.
Not to stop being part of Eurovision, I created this channel as I have an urge not to do just Eurovision Reactions from a different perspective. But also to do national selection reactions, watch others how they do their craft and also give a different approach for Eurovision fans.
I am very glad was part of many eurovision juries. Mostly in national selection and since 2017 I was in MGP Norway, Eurovision Malta, UMK national selection Finland. Juror in Melodifestivalen 2016. Biggest national selection. Also helped Eurovision Ireland, Eurovision Estonia, Eurovision Azerbaijan and many others.

Ukrainian staging this year was done by Tanu Muino, she's a ukr music videos director. She did videos for people like Harry Styles, Doja Cat and other big names. Maybe that's why the staging looks so cinematic. So it's every year a different ukrainian person who does staging.

the stage might but the staging is not just about stage, its also camera usage and editing. For me this combo dont work, at least yet.

I intended to vote for Azerbaijan as I really like the song, but the staging disappointed me. You're right, where are the colours? Instead of celebrating their rich culture they offer us some cold space odyssey. So mismatched. I guess my vote might now go to Portugal.

Portugal in 2023, when arrive in liverpool, the delegation make all apresentation from zero, esc producers doesent make a cheat
stagings are in responsibilities of delegations, not ESC producers, so making idea from the scratch is a responsibility of each country. But this year Portugal is tooop!
@@JanBors last year, all the ideas from portugal, dont be concretized, and the mimicat team, make all again in liverpool, whitout time.
The whole appeal of Bambi Thug is in the staging, without the staging and the costume it'd be nothing special.
But that would apply to many others. The staging is part of the show and It seems this will be visually stunning. Lets hope.

@JanBors Well, being informed to help formulate yr opinion would be yr primary focus. I'm only saying this because I think you have missed a few points, and viewing the Malmohagen pre party will (suffice to say) perhaps may change yr views...thats all. Something the clip didn't show is Charisma.
yes, that what I agree with and you have a point in this, so dont makes this feel wrong. There is on the other hand this issue that those clips are very important - RoW can vote just based on seeying them in advance. So how those 30s look like is now more important than ever before. Also its still 30s from the show on cameras. That is something different than club presentation. TV is cruel and shows the reality very raw in compare to concert like show. So maybe I need to be more explanative about this or maybe create a video just about this topic. THX for inspiration! :)

OMG Jan a lot of delegations should take some lessons with you. How terrible that good songs can be lost by so poor producing, what a shame for such a big show. And like you said, it's not about how many money you throw at it, but how you use a camera, led screen, lighting.....😱😱
I am sure lots of delegations has their Jans and also lets see the real product, they are still able to polish a lot. Some are doing it better than others for sure.
Don't be surprised if Portugal make the bottom 3 in the semi-final, because the song is still very very bad😥😞. But the real question, how are both normal people and business people supposed to take Eurovision seriously if Ireland, Finland will go through to the final and then Switzerland winning the final ??

Switzerland has an amazing song, that is ok. If Portugal will not make it, which I think at some point can be a borderline issue, that can be a problem for motivation of artists in Portugal. But lets judge after we will see it. Imo the think only public is voting in semifinal will eventually lead to more Finlands this year and less Portugal. Show vs. Music.
