Steve Blackman has the unique ability to make wrestlers apologize to him in front of all the other wrestlers.
Hahaha, I love the JBL one!
He's a very persuasive guy.
You Know What This Is You're Gonna Do You're Gonna Stand Up Right there in that catering and you're going to apologize to me Infront of everybody because If You Don't and you studered you did a mess up im gonna beat your ass infront of everybody in that room 👊💀 this is the story told by Al Snow about BlackMan Said to Bradshaw
That's because he has the ability to destroy you if you don't
Rather apologize and keep my teeth!
‘It wasn’t trouble I started, just working in bars knocking people out’ that’s the most Steve Blackman line you’ll ever hear hahaha love it

Hardcore holly only messed with rookies.
Ken Shamrock also said Steve was the real deal, could destroy a lot of guys if he was seriously trying to hurt them
This is the most i ever heard him talk. Well spoken
Steve Blackman was always fun to watch. He would get a huge pop when his theme hit during the hardcore title era.
he's one of the few wrestlers where i like both his themes. The hard rock one is cool and iconic but i think i enjoy the thumping dance one more.
I think it’s cool that Steve isn’t like the rest of us. He has decided that he won’t try aging.
You realize this video was from 2007, right? Chances are he's still in fantastic shape but if he still looked like that with no gray hair, he'd definitely be pulling the Dan Severn trick with "Just for Men".
@@ScottBeck79I’ve seen photos of him recently, he’s grey but he hasn’t really aged.
Even aging doesn't mess with Steve Blackman.

Mufuggin blackman...... my hometown here. My uncle knew him in 80s and 90s and used to always make fun of wrestling when it was on. One day he realized Steve was on TV when he was walking by, rather than the usual "retards in leotards" he said " I know Steve, that is one of the baddest mfs I ever met" we are from harrisburg pa area where Blackman lives and does bailbondsman work. Chuck Norris wishes he was Steve Blackman.
I'd agree with that statement. Blackman could have done something in MMA in the early 2000s still before it got too big and considering this interview was 2007, he'd have had plenty of time to make a splash because if I am not mistaken, he also had a good amateur wrestling background. It wasn't until about 2003-2005ish -- anything after that, he'd have needed more than just great kicks and wrestling because in the "Brawl for All" his punches were pretty horrific -- in all fairness, he didn't have time to train and the only one who had better hands than him when it came to being technical in boxing was Marc Mero and Bart Gunn when it came to overall KO power.
Hell, he could have been on the first season "The Ultimate Fighter" probably on his name recognition alone and I'm surprised that him and Bart Gunn didn't at least make an attempt at that. Maybe they did but I never heard any stories about it from them or even Dana White.
The best thing about Chuck Norris is that he will readily admit he was only "for show" and never for competition AND he got involved in all of those martial arts -- He's a legit black belt in BJJ and he's in better shape at 80+ years old than many so called "men" at half his age. That all being said, Chuck is still a man's man in a world where people think someone born with a penis and natural testosterone flowing through their body should compete in female sports....because of feelings.
@@ScottBeck79I'd be willing to bet that his time sick messed up some internal things that would make clearing a physical difficult

Chuck Norris was a kickboxing world champion.... So I don't know what you talking about
Steve Blackman has 4 years of training during his recovery from Maliria and Dysentery. Chuck literally has DECADES of experience over him. It wouldn't even be a fight 😂

I would have LOVE to have seen Blackman get his hands on Buzz Sawyer. Buzz was the worst kind of bully, he'd bully guys beneath, or smaller than him, and beat them up if he could. But if it were someone he couldnt beat up or have fired, he'd STILL talk crap, then run. At least HBK knew how and what he was, and never claimed to be a tough guy..and Savage would fight anybody, even if he knew he'd lose..
I wish he went into specifics about the ways Vader and Buzz would push Steve's buttons. Curious what they actually did. Especially knowing how long Steve held a grudge.
Probably nothing serious. Dude seems like a high strung guy that likes to fight just to prove how much of a badass he is

I remember Vader went missionary on Blackman on his WWF debut (and somehow lived afterwards)
"He fell over dead while cutting his grass or something. Good riddance." Lmao Blackman is cold.
It was actually a drug overdose according to Wikipedia.
He had the perfect ring name. Often got buzzed via substance abuse and then perished while taking a smaller version of a buzzsaw to another kind of grass. Still to this day resides in wrestler hell.
I've never heard one good thing about Buzz Sawyer, though. lol
Buzz brought all the hate on himself. He screwed people over his whole career. Good riddance to a lowlife like him.

During his pro wrestling career, Vader pissed off a lot of the guys he worked with. However, Steve Blackman was not to be f*cked with. Blackman beat the hell out of JBL at an airport baggage carrousel. He was not going to take any sh*t from Vader.

This interview is from 2007, my dude.
When Vader apologised twice, he was probably thinking "If Paul Orndorff fucked me up with only one arm, I dread to think what Steve Blackman could do!"
It's not clear what really happened in that fight with Orndorff. There are those who have said that Vader put his hands behind his back and allowed Orndorff to repeatedly hit him and didn't fight back.
One of the Steiner brothers had to pull Orndorff off him cuz he was beating him with his boat shoe 😂😂😂

Two big guys locked up and fell over on top of each other in a small hallway. Orndorff got up first and got a couple of kicks in as Vader was getting up. Then they were separated. Steve Mufuggin Blackman!!
Could have put Blackman and Severn in a tag team and called them the M.M.A, mixed martial arts or if you wanna be a bit more flavorful “the men’s martial alliance”. Quick submission based tag team could be placed in lower or mid card
Add Shamrock and you would have had a legit badass stable that would have kept people wondering if they were shooting or not.
@@MortonT1958 that’s a no brainer can’t believe I forgot about him! Put them in an angle with the hart foundation and have the focus be which team has the better submission. Do that from wm 13 with a fresh heel hart and you can stretch it all the way to survivor series. Put the tag belts on owen and davey at or just after summerslam, hart has the title, the whole dynasty is on top for that period. During that time, dx is messing with the hart foundation and Bret hart, interfering with matches and aiding MMA, sometimes it works sometimes the hart family pulls through and wins. Have the MMA team win at survivor series and the screw job more or less plays out the same. Then MMA transitions into a feud with DX. Dx claims they wore the harts down for MMA and that they owe DX a title shot. Can either go back and forth with the title or let MMA hold them till the next mania. Then when DX expands and the new age outlaws join, they’re the ones that beat MMA for the titles at the next PPV.
Why only low and mid card?
@@vincentdc211 promos. None of them are a skilled talker they have to be fed their lines. But you can cover for that by giving them a manager or just portray them as mostly bite little bark. Short soundbytes and they can get by easily, tell them to cut a 6 minute promo on why they outclass the harts, it’ll be brutal. Jim cornette himself said there was a particular way to use guys like Severn and shamrock and he left notes before he left the creative team.
If you're talking about the who's who of badasses in that particular era (late 90s) you can't have a conversation without Don Frye, Ken Shamrock and of course Dan Severn. Steve Blackman had great kicks and a pretty good wrestling background but when it came to his boxing, it was subpar to someone like Shamrock or Frye. Still, I think he could have made a splash in MMA at that time if he had given it a shot and personally, I would much rather see that than people getting "worked" punches thrown at them that aren't actually connecting.
Don Frye & Dan Severn have their own podcast called Dan & Don's Toxic Masculinity. I wouldn't doubt if they have Blackman on at some point because they're making the rounds with all the older wrestlers and fighters and while they aren't exactly the best "interviewers", but hey had Mick Foley, Godfather and Bradshaw on as well and those were all really good conversations. In fact, most of the conversations I've listened to have been pretty good; especially the ones with Ken Shamrock and Bas Rutten. If you go listen to that podcast, but you've never seen the Shamrock & Frye fight along with the lead up to it, go find it on CZcams. It will make what they talk about in that 3+ hour talk make a lot more sense.
