I never get tired of hearing Andre's drinking stories and huku's toughness.
Just looked it up. As of the day I'm writing this in 2017, Ax is 69 and Smash is 57. I had no idea the age difference was that substantial between the two.
Ax looks excellent for 69 and can still mix it up with wrestlers in their 20's better than most legends.
Andre would be 71 if he was still alive today.

You can tell by how well these two have aged, that they did not take to much gear. Many teams that had a better look are either dead or look rough

Each Andre The Giant story keeps getting better and better. I would've liked to have had a conversation with him just to hear about his life in general. I'll bet even his NON wrestling / drinking tales would be legendary.

Carey Elwes wrote a book called As You Wish. It was a behind the scenes look at the making of the Princess Bride.
Andre took him out drinking in New York one night. I think it was before they started shooting over in England, but it’s been a few years since I read it so my timeline might be off.
He said one of Andre’s favorite drinks was something Andre called the American. Basically, take a beer pitcher and fill it with several different types of liquor.
He’d drink several of those.
A pitcher holds about a gallon.
In Andre’s hand that pitcher looked like a pint glass in a regular person’s hand.

I remember either Royal Rumble #1 or #2 these were the first two guys picked
they had to fight each other for two minutes and then Andre came in and they double teamed him for two minutes.
It was the 2nd royal rumble, Big John Stud won the rumble that year

In their prime Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow 6'2-6'3 and 250-260lbs would dwarf regular people, sharing the ring with the ultra-thick Haku and man-mountain Andre. Man, 80's was the true era of giants.

I still kick myself for not shaking Bill's hand or getting his autograph when he wrestled at the fair in my hometown back around 1999.
I saw Ax in Sheffield, AL years after his Demolition run...97-99 somewhere in there...about 20-30 people in there lol...in a basketball gym. I remember a tape deck being set out on the ring by someone before his match and they played their music when he came in. I was calling him old and he said "SHUT UP KID!"

Remember a lot of Demolition vs. Haku and Andre matches at the end of his career. Andre could barely make it to the ring and did little more than stand on the apron.
They were at Dunn's? I once was there too...
One thing I have noticed through the years is that wrestlers were forever pulling ribs on each other.
However ... I have noted that no one ever screwed with a certain Mr Roussimoff. No ribs were played on him.....basically you didn't fuck with André.

They're still making very good money doing it. Hard to say no to money and fans at the events they do want to see them in their paint. This interview was recorded in the dressing room prior to a Great North Wrestling match they had in May 2016.
