North Carolina Reads: How to Participate in 2023

Learn how you can participate in North Carolina Humanities' statewide book club, North Carolina Reads! North Carolina Reads annually features five books that explore issues of racial, social, and gender equality and the history and culture of North Carolina.
Starting in February 2023, NC Humanities will host virtual monthly book club events where participants will hear from guest speakers, including book authors and topic experts. Libraries, community groups, and individuals across North Carolina are encouraged to read along with NC Humanities and host community programs and discussions of their own to accompany NC Humanities’ virtual events. A poet friend of mine in Lexington turned me on to you people. I am an instructor at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem and I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't know more about the organization and its programs. Now that I am better informed, I look forward to becoming involved.
