    It's tough when you have to troubleshoot your troubleshooting tools :) Nice work.

    Oh I love it! I’m a certified inspector and a tech but mostly inspector. I love seeing another female in the business! Keep up the good work!

    Nightmare for the day-
    We got into out MH & headed down the highway and a car on our left swerved toward us, so, we swerved to the right to give us both more room when - BANG- No, we did not touch so, we pulled over to look & our steps were out & bent. They had hit a steel road sign post,
    bent, broke a couple of the bolts. We had to drive as is until we found a auto parts house & bought a couple bolts and made temp repairs.
    back at home I dropped the steps, disassembled them, straightened the bent parts, removed the powder coat, sanded off all the rust & sprayed everything with truck bed liner. Tomorrow I will reassemble with new stainless steel fasteners & hang them. THEN - it gets a new steps switch.
    !

      Oh my goodness that sucks. I like the truck bed liner solution. I’ll keep that in my back pocket if I ever need it. Lmk how the repair goes.

    Great video. I was just about to say, Alright you got your truck fixed...

      XD We thought it was fixed too, and then it rained again and I got stranded in an Panera parking lot. We've narrowed down that the distributor cap is held down with 2 screws, 1 of which's hole has snapped off of the distributor. So the cap just flops around and lets water in. Only real fix is to replace the entire distributor which we just aren't looking forward to.

    Another nice video - well explained and easy to follow. My steps don't work in the winter time, and then when summer rolls around, they start working...? Kind of convenient because summer is when I use it right now. I've read that those motors are underpowered. If memory serves, I think they were originally made for windows. Thanks for the info.

      yeah when I pulled that one out and showed it to my boyfriend (who used to work in the automotive industry) he thought I had pulled someones car window motor. Its the exact same thing.

    "boom okay we're getting 20 volts" this is what you measured from your test power tool. Granted with this type of motor (or awning motor) 20V is not a problem for short test period. I would encourage you to get a similar add-on adapter that converts a Dewalt 20V battery to 12V. and add test jumper leads. Makes it usable on circuit boards etc.

      @rvrepairwoman  Před 4 měsíci

      Yeah I only use it for small intervals to test things. Been thinking about getting an adapter, there’s just always SOMETHING to buy in this job.

      Granted about having to always need some more tools. But I see way to many videos or comments by certified/able RV Techs that are just plainly incorrect or dangerous. But it is still a good video, keep up the good work.@@rvrepairwoman

    Research Power Probe III. $150 but well worth it.

      Actually Amazon has the Autel power scan circuit tester that is the exact same thing for $80. I think it would be well worth the investment and you wouldn’t have to carry around that makeshift battery power
