    My vocation story Fr. Dan is so close to your story. It was the time when I was in my last year in highschool when my mother got very ill and we thought she will not get it through. I trusted in the power of prayer which have given me peace and serene heart amidst the sadness around us: interior and externally. I thought of offering my life to the Lord and finally convince that I would like to become a priest to serve Him, I was 15 that time. I studied Computer Tech for 2 years, worked for 3 years but still that sense of peace and serenity of heart never get lost everytime I participated in the Holy Mass, in fact I decided to became an apprentice as layman, to serve the Mass and finally made a decision to enter a seminary, it was 2011. I just finished my Theology last June, this year and I am doing my pastoral work as of now, this will be for 1 year in preparation for my solemn profession. I appreciate a little prayer from you Fr. Dan and my prayers as well. May God bless us all.🙂🙏

      Fr. Do you ever felt like god forced you into vocation? I'm sorry just a curious question

      @@blaiserebeiro7181 It is an inner desire to be near by Him my brother. A profound desire of that interior peace and contenment if we call on to His name, Jesus Christ. In my experience it is not by force that I chose to dedicate my life to Him as a religious, it is a free RESPONSE of His love to me as a sinner, God never gets tired of loving us and His gift of hope has no end. This interior desire of acknowledging that there is Someone Greater than us is a GIFT that one can receive if he opens the eyes of FAITH to see the works of God in our lives. It is not by force to hear the call of religious or priestly vocation, it is a response to God's love ❤ to a person, by making decision that allows Jesus Christ to live in one's heart and be like Him to those who are in need of that love. God bless my brother.🙂🙏

      Thank you so much fr. I'm actually going through some serious discernment process please don't mind me but lately I'm feeling like have a feeling that I have a calling and personally for me I don't wanna be a priest but I'm just feeling like I've being forced into preisthood like a magnet which is attracting me towards preisthood this has been bothering me so much. This is making me question my faith this is making me feel like we are god's puppets and he forces us to follow his will so that his will be done. I'm just so confused at the moment. I'm just in a very fragile state of mind with all these doubts

    Thank you Father for sharing this wonderful vocation story. Why Catholic Priests are the most powerful men on earth? "Only validly ordained Priests can preside at the EUCHARIST and consecrate the bread and the wine so that they become the Body and Blood of the LORD". This Lent I have asked St Francis of Assisi to walk with me...Out of humility Francis never accepted the priesthood but remained a deacon all his life. Blessings from South Africa. Keeping you in my prayers when praying my daily Rosary.

    Can a man at the age of 60 be called by God?

    • @abrahamdecruz5128
      @abrahamdecruz5128 Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you can be called at any age
      Find a seminary for older men to accept you
      I think there is one in Boston - St john xxiii or join a religious order like the augustinians or salesians. If you don't get in be a deacon- a single or married one. Good luck brother.

    I DON'T THINK YOU SAID THE WORD OR NAME JESUS IN YOUR TALK..
    YOU SAY EUCHARIST BUT NOT JESUS...THIS IS WHY SO MANY CATHOLICS LEAVE OUR CHURCH BECAUSE PRIESTS DON'T WANT TO SAY JESUS'S NAME IN THEIR CZcams VIDS...YOU SAY GOD ,LORD OR THIS OR THAT BUT YOU COULD HAVE SAID JESUS NAME... Protestants, Evangelicals ,CHARISMATICs when they listen to a video like yours it confirms foe them that Catholic Church doesn't care about Jesus...doesn't really care or know about Jesus ..
    Catholic will use sorts of words in our Expressions but rarely say Jesus..
    I wish Catholic priests can give news interview or make a CZcams video or give a speech and constantly invoke the name Jesus the same way that the Protestants evangelicals charismatic and Pentecostals do..
    it's Catholic like you that is why so many Catholics are leaving the Catholic church because they see that you have no deep understanding of Jesus..
    Or how important it is to say his name even if you're just talking to a stranger on the street..
    stop it with all the theology all the other terms and all the other crap say Jesus name in your videos ..yes say Jesus name let us know about Jesus tell us about Jesus we don't want to hear about your life story...
