I'm actually ok without all the bad criticism and that it's all mostly positive. I don't think it would work for a regular season but it might be smart for all winners... not to flame the fire anymore with this crazy fandom
Plus it makes it a safe space if they ever want to do another all winners season.
This season is like a love letter to the queens...and i approve

GUYS, LET'S BE CLEAR.. That first episode runway was NOT about being a QUEEN, it was literally about CROWNS. Raja did Louis XIV SunKing outfit, which counterpointed her MarieAntoinette from 11 years ago.
Good comment. I found the discussion around Raja's crowning look infuriating. Wish they'd done more research before commenting, or thought a little more.
And to top it all off both picked Monet for their favourite choice for her runways.

Jaida's prince was a thesis on how to know you're bad at the character, and be part of the joke and lean into just how bad of an impression it is
She knew she wasnt doing good and just goofed around and *made* it funny, regardless of if it was a good impression or not, she knew how to make it work

If she didn’t want to join the alliance, all she would have to do to stir up drama is talk about the alliance in front of the whole group then it would put it bigger target on their backs and they would be blocked by more people. I actually think jinkx might be interested in the idea because monet and trinity both were in the top atleast one in the first two episodes and monet was high in the second so she could possibly be interested In the idea because 3/8 girls working together, they would have such a high chance of getting blocked the least and making the most stars from it. We shall see
At this point I'm just like, sure, a plunger, why the hell not. Drag Race is not supposed to be serious anyway. AS7 is definitely going to be one of the best, if not THE best season of all time. The fact that no one's going home really changes the dynamic, you can tell the queens are having fun since they don't have to worry about being eliminated. Sure, it's still a competition, but it doesn't feel like a regular All Stars where the queens have something to prove or are trying to get a redemption. The first two episodes were stellar and I hope the rest will be just as good.
It seems like they’re not taking this whole season too seriously either, and I really feel like it’s working so much better!
@@decemberdowell3779 Why should they? They've already won, they have nothing to prove, they all have successful careers. It's not like going on All Stars because you need the money or a redemption. I feel Jaida is the only one who could really gain from winning AS7 as she didn't get to have a proper reign due to quarantine. And maybe The Viv, since she didn't get a cash prize.
@@lune78 I like the dynamic too, it just feels like a victory lap for the queens and a celebration of the queens as opposed to non-winner all stars that feels like the queens are fighting to prove themselves
@@hexmaniacciaran Not just that, I've come to dislike the format of having queens eliminate each other. I mean, it makes for good TV I guess, but then you have strong competitors and fan favorites going home way too soon, and you end up with a lackluster top 4 (UK vs The World).

The lack of crying and debating we have to sit through on normal All Stars seasons is soooo nice. Nobody likes a sad drag queen. I love to see them enjoying themselves and having FUN! Best All Stars format so far!

Raja had the best physical comedy for Snatch game I would've put her in the top 2 just for that. Jinkx was the funniest overall but Raja's body language was incredible

Honestly the All-Stars 7 rules should be the default All-Stars rules. I love that no one goes home. These queens spend so much money on their looks and to go home first just feels like a waste.

I kinda had hoped the reveal queen was Priyanka instead of Raven. It would have been great to see the true queen of the north also compete. Plus, it would help relieve some of the pressure on The Vivienne for being the only international queen.

The excessive use of legendary legend star and the “platinum” plunger is camp. I think we’re back to poking fun at reality competition 😂
Monet and Viv were both prime examples of familiarity with the character's making a huge difference in how funny you found the Snatch Game performance. Viv's Catherine Tate/Nan was criminally underrated since so few Americans are familiar with the Catherine Tate Show, while I found Monet's Martin Lawrence merely "fine" since I had no familiarity whatsoever with the character he was playing. And Scarlet messing Viv's red pleather look is a hate crime.
There are quite a lot of videos of Americans reacting to clips from the Catherine Tate Show for the first time, which are quite fun to watch.
Also the fact that Shea brought Valentino Haute Couture ( from fall 2019 ) on RuPaul’s drag race, is the gag. She’s wearing ACTUAL HAUTE COUTURE on the runway.
The Viviens leather look was So good !
I wholeheartedly understand Mera's point about the soft critiques and editing. But I also think they're doing it this way so each winner comes out virtually unscathed and more winners will want to come back. All of the queens worst fear about going back is how it will affect their reputation and brand so it's kinda smart that this is like a fun thing rather than a normal competition. That said I still wish the judging wasn't so fluffy lol
How can you miss that Raja's Crowning runway reference was Louis XIV the Sun King. It was perfectly ON POINT! no notes.
Precisely! I thought it was wonderful! These two yak over the commentary so much that they missed Raja actually talking about it.
I couldn’t disagree more with the “it’s not fun to watch” about there being only positive critiques, the world (and the fandom frankly) is already so negative, it’s nice to just watch some excellent drag and see the queens have just a great fun time. I love the no eliminations and I like that everything is pretty positive, it makes for a nice escape from the shittyness of life 💁🏻♀️😇

I actually like the title Bob used to say “Drag Race Superstars” because since they all have one they have all gained the title of next drag superstar. And still matches with all-stars with returning queens. Like a super all stars.
Jaida is so quirky, funny, and gorgeous. I'm glad that AS7 is showing a new side of her, she's my pick for the win. My picks for the next All Winners Season are Bebe and Yuhua ✝✝✝ btw.

I agree that there was a lot of overpraising in these first two episodes but I actually prefer it this way and it’s more enjoyable for me to watch. Especially because nobody actually did bad so it would feel unjust to place someone low. Love the channel ❤️

I liked Jaida's prince a lot!! Her, "I'm a man." "I'm sexy" was so funny to me lol. I might be an Yvie apologist, but I didn't think her snatch game was that bad. I liked her answer where she was like "that was like 6 matches!"
I agree with both opinions. Jaida made me laugh so much and I keep quoting Yvie’s ‘hey Bebe, I am the OGGIE- BOOGIE, the creepiest dude from underneath your bed frame’ 😭😂

I got to meet Mera and Scarlett at Drag Con and let me tell you they give you exactly what you want from a M&G. They were happy to sign their exclusive shirt I bought (the one Scarlett is wearing in the video). They truly are this fun in person. 💜
Honestly I’d love a season with just queens who can sew and every week they have to make a runway look. More so a project runway but for drag queens. Obviously these girls are going to have great looks because they all have money now. Jinx dominated this episode

I mean, why are we thinking of bottom queens when we don't have to be in that headspace for once? Just focus on the areas that they shine. In the words of Latrice.. The level of professionalism.. Far too much.
Also, it's not that that Raja couldn't walk in her crowning look. She was doing Louis XVI, which is a twist on the category (with him being a king) and also on her legendary Marie Antoinette look. She was doing the walk that the character required.
I think the this premiere episode was executed the way it was is because this episode is the one they’ll submit for an Emmy nomination cuz you don’t submit for a whole season you submit a episode that you think will get you the win. Between it being all winners, the raven twist, then Naomi Campbell, Shea tearing up, Cameron Diaz, etc… Ru is trying to secure that Emmy win for sure
I'm such a fan of the AS7 format bc it fosters a creative environment! yeah there are no stakes, but they can take more risks bc they're not going home.
Jaida’s Prince is right there with Jujubee’s Cher in the “so off it’s perfect” category. All she had to do was twitch that little smirk and I was cackling

Minus all the other possible things going on with Trinity on Twitter and Reddit lol. This season, in just 2 episodes, I’ve seen a side of her I like so much more than either 2 times we’ve seen her.
And Jinx and Raja are giving me everything I need. And Shea and Monet are proving that they have even more talents to show after 2 seasons.
I met Trinity at Drag Con and she couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. Shes a great conversationalist and took her time with everyone.
I feel like the winners of snatch game should have been raja and jinx. I'm not mad at trinity winning I think her impersonations were great, but the runway wasn't up to par with jinx or raja.
the category was 'I'm Crowning' - which means it could be either kings or queens.....as Raja explained, 'raja' means 'king' in Bahasa Indonesia, as it does in Sanskrit. So, it was a king look, with the Sun King, Louis XIV, which was Baroque perfection.

The camera was 100% avoiding Raja...but I was obsessed with her verse and her voice. I don't believe it was objectively bad. And same with Yvie's verse. I felt everyone did amazing and it honestly feels really good to me to see everyone get great critiques. I love seeing impeccable drag and I love seeing everyone being respected by the judges and the edit. In comparison to season 14, I do think everyone is doing well enough to get the critiques they got.
The thing I don’t get is, that plungers are typically used to UNBLOCK things. So I don’t get why they get a plunger when they’re BLOCKED. Haha
I guess cause you need it to unblock it?

I was SO glad I got to see you at Drag Con (outside the convention centre on Thurs while picking up our badges) I wanted to catch you in drag on Saturday, but damn it was a busy time. I'm glad you guys had a blast. My daughter and I did as well and I'm EXHAUSTED still....a week later.
I wasn't overly excited for this season, mostly because there's a lot of queens who's been on the show pretty recently, but so far, i must say, i really enjoy watching it. I am not a very competitive person myself, so it's nice to see all of them being more laid-back, just having a good time (and doing a great job meanwhile).
Ironic how Monet, not so long ago in the pit stop, said that kumbaya drag race is not her thing, and there she is participating in it :)

Shea's crowing look is a valentino haute couture girl SPENT MONEY for this season.
I agree Yvie's first character fell flat, but I loved the boogey/boogie-man. Disagree on it being forgettable. Did not care much for Monét's second character, and honestly Shea was just okay to me for both rounds. Slightly below Viv. Jaida was funny (maybe in the wrong ways but I don't care) in the first round. Trinity was good. But of course Jinkx clearly ran away with it.
I'm pretty sure Alexis' episode comes out later today, it isn't out yet😂

As someone who got a plunger scepter and paper crown for my internship 'award' in one hospital I've stationed and had to drink punch from the cup as a toast, that's definitely a gag award. Don't worry the plunger ain't used... I'm still alive 🤣

I suggest Mera if you want to repair dry cracked skin especially because a lot of moisturizer burn on fissured skin. I would try Cerave Daily Moisturizer it has ceramides to repair cracked skin. Also Eucerin and Vanicream are good too! All of them can be found at drugstores 💕
Also Jaida’s Prince made sense to me. Prince had a very subdued personality. He wasn’t over the top in how he spoke or anything so her vibe made sense to me and I found it funny

I loved that everyone stayed, because I got to see amazingness from these queens, at the top of their game, every week. It was a feast, an all you can eat buffet of talent. And no stress of sending someone home, or someone sending themselves home, because sending people home isn't fun.
About Spain: Lemme tell you, I don't know if this is because of the translation, but Marina was by far the best and a surprise this week. I speak Spanish and she came out with an Argentinian accent and character and EAT THEM ALL, IT WAS SOOO GOOD. Sharonne is amazing, I love her, but her jokes were one note
On the runway: if Sharonne had a black wig or a brown one, it would have been so representative of the Spanish ama de casa (housewife), idk that would've been beautiful
I hear ya about the humidity in the Midwest vs. the West Coast. I grew up 3 hours from you (Champaign), and so I experienced the swamp-like conditions like they exist in St. Louis, but now in Seattle, where it’s VERY dry during the summers (it gets overcast, but rains less here than people think).
I also agree with your take on the roast last week on DR Espana, and am looking forward to what comes this week!

I’m cool with them not focusing on giving negative critiques. The judges don’t have to pick any bottoms, just the top two, so they can focus on judging who did the best rather than nitpicking or being outright negative toward anyone.
We need a “fan favourite” season (although many of these queens could also be considered that).
Trinity was the next worse, she had an okay verse that SHE DIDNT KNOW THE WORDS. How is Yvie the next one that should have gotten bad critiques… her verse was killer. “Freaky like Friday, I want the crown my way and I’ll make this next one look easy”
To Miss Syanide the category was Pleather Principle, pleather is a plastic leather and Yvie was clearly wearing patent leather that’s why it looked like plastic…
Stakes are still high! It’s a point system. If they don’t get points, they don’t go to the finale so still very high stakes. Also the All Stars brand is still there because it’s a franchise already green lit. It would be VERY hard to get a just winner season green lit by any channel or streaming service because it can only have so many seasons. TV just doesn’t work that way, to put money and branding behind something that can only guaranteed to be 2 or Maybe 3 seasons. The All Stars branding was smart and makes sense because it’s already established. It also opens door for other All stars themes, such as first outs, almost winners, fashion queens etc etc. Very smart

Y’all summed up my problem with Sharonne’s looks. It never looks like there is a Sharonne stamp on the runway. It’s very “I had this made for me for the theme and that’s it” while Venedita always has an element of her drag identity on her looks and that’s why I prefer for her to win.
Yeah I think Sharónne suffers a bit in that way because she’s a chameleon on the runway
You have to give the credit to the balls of this cast to go Snatch Game with Jinkx Monson and never give at any point.

Even more so these queens already proved themselves this is more of a showcase of how amazing they are it makes it fun. Drag should have fun in it imo

I honestly don’t think Rajas verse was that bad! The first verse in a song always has to set the pace for the rest of the song, and Raja did a good job at that! She sounded good and the lyrics were smart and represent who Raja was and her brand

I just think Ru and Michelle as well as the other judges are just being respectful. These queens accomplished a lot by winning their respective seasons and have gone on and left their footprints on so many positive things. I also think the Queens had a lot to say about how the season was going to go/how they wanted to be treated. I’m finding this season to be more of a group effort than anything.
They were really good but for me Trinity was sooooooo funny! I was crying laughing! And I loved loved that they used jazz music! What a fresh air!
When Scarlet does her "country accent" it sounds exactly Mr Hankie the Christmas poo from South Park lol

I am so happy to see Scarlet on board. They are meant to be All Stars and yet the show always tried to either do a villain edit or beat down someone to justify them going home. Having them all there till the final is a great change. This way even if its not a great run for someone they still have a chance to show their true self and the fun package they spend so much time and money on. I hope not having the negativity there doesn't spoil it for you Mera. It is truely my fav format they have ever done. And you can already see that everyone is just there to do their best, and they can actually have fun!
Raja's verse was one of the best, that outfit tho...
The one thing I like about alliances this season is that, this might be the only actual season where an alliance can greatly be a benefit. Three people having each other's back, not blocking themselves is a HUGE strategic move.
Honestly, in my opinion, this is how the vs. the World seasons should be. Nobody goes home. Especially if the seasons are going to be so short? Like, the first one was 6 weeks… What’s the point? I feel like it would have been a much, MUCH, better season if everybody stayed, and at the end they calculate in some way to find out who the top3 are. Meh.
Overall, I am so happy with the All Winners season. Monét could easily have been a top over Trinity, and I honestly would have had her win this challenge over Trinity. I also liked Yvie’s Boogeyman just because it was different, but I can see why some people wouldn’t have liked it. Jaida’s Prince, however, was such a classic. It’s gonna go down as an iconic snatch game impression just because of how ridiculous it was.
It fits my fantasy that juriji left in the iconic 5th place spot 😍

I think Trinity's queen look is spectacular but I didn't like the hair color. I wish it was a darker tone of orange, it would've looked more regal like the dress itself.
