This Friday we welcome LSB onto the decks to melt our minds with his deep and beautiful liquid d’n’b. Since putting out his debut release in 2007, Luke Beavon has maintained a staggering quality across his discography, which has seen him carve out a position as one of the UK scene’s finest figures, underlined by his role in 2015’s d’n’b track of the year ‘The View’.
His productions have that transcendent quality of emotional resonance that never fails to move people on the dancefloor. See the Guide mix of solely his own material he turned in last year for an hour-long journey through his smooth and rolling approach.
This month marked the release of LSB’s debut album ‘Content’ through Soul:r and it’s another stunner to add to his rich catalogue. It surprises me that so many people don't know how good dnb is. I live in New Jersey and I think I'm the only one who even knows what it is. Most people here listen to the new pop garbage that is all over the radio today. And the new garbage mumble rap too. I first discovered dnb in 1999 in high school when someone gave me an LTJ Bukem Progression Sessions 3 CD. I instantly loved it and have listened to this music ever since then.
Crazy! DNB is big out here in San Diego as much as house and techno is at the moment the music scene is steered toward deep tech
Why hasnt dnb reached america yet, its popping all throughout central europe and even gone to new zealand BMT it should be global

Holy shit 1 million views man!! ... That is something to behold, so happy to see this music getting the love and appreciation it deserves, i was born in 90 and caught onto to the sound of liquid pretty quick from the early days of Marcus Intalex (God rest his soul) and Calibre and seeing it grow into what it has become today is like watching a child grow into his own, boundaries are being crossed every year as artists keep bridging the gap with musical elements thank you all for being a part of it and supporting the sound that was made by us for us, a sound that has left its mark for the rest of the world to see from now until forever.
Being from Toronto I love his shirt! Being human I love the sweet soulful D&B. How this beauty music isn't on everyone's radio baffles me. How can people do Top 40 when this ear candy exists?

Look at his levels on the mixer, can see he knows how to control his sound unlike countless djs ive seen on Mixmag running it into red (Channel & Master) lol
Such a basic skill overlooked. I hated seeing people redlining, bringing tunes in hot and way louder than the previous tune playing (im looking at you dubstep crew)
You'll notice this on a lot of Calibre tracks. Compared to other Producers, his tracks sound "Quiet". So even when you're pushing that track it's hard to get it to clip.
In an analogue world, it's fine - a bit of overdrive is quite nice and can add to a track. However, digital...Nope. Just fucking NOPE. Unity gain is vital!
@@Caluma122 #1 pet peeve with recent producers especially in hip-hop. Even at -5 Bass in my car, the tracks still clip.
