- Hey everybody this video is on changing your oil on a honda cb650r. This was my first 600 mile change, i did see a few metal shavings but thats normal on a bike with no miles!

Hi, thank you for your video - on point, easy to understand, no obnoxious music - perfect. Can I ask you why you didn´t prefill the filter before screwing it on. On the web there is quite a debate about pre filling (necessary or not) and i honstely dont know what to think about the issue (or maybe I am overthinking it). Thanks again.
Thank you! I've never heard of pre filling an oil filter before, And it never said anything in the handbook about it. I will have to look into that. 👍

The service manual says that you should use GN4 10W 30. Any reason why you opted for 10W 40 ??
10w 40 is a better oil thats why
Not really. Depends on the temperature of where you stay. 10w 40 would be beneficial someplace hot like arizona etcetera. Otherwise great and helpful video but should use Honda recommended oil 👍
How often should I change the oil on my 2021 cb650r (35KW) ?
The first oil change is at 600 miles after that its 4,000 the 8,000 and so on. Its all in your owners manual as well has a nice spot to wright all your info down on as well! Hope this helps🤙
What did you use to loosen your oil filter?
I had to use a retractable band did not have a filter sized wrench to take off. Hope that helps!
