When I was little I found a solid perfume bar and it looked like lip balm so I out it in my lips.. My lips got so tight! And I could taste the floral smell and it also tasted chemically. :( Then I read the label and yeah..

There are IFRA Maximum Skin Exposure Levels for each Essential Oil and Fragrance Oil out there so that skin won't get irritated or injured. Just doing a "Sniff test" doesn't cut it as far as safety is concerned, especially if you'll be selling your products. The base of your product can only accept a certain percent of essential or fragrance oil as well in order to be able to function as the product that your trying to create. Look up product recipes, research fragrance levels, and buy from reputable supply companies.

I always use a glass bowl and never had a problem. Maybe it's because I put the glass bowl in before the water gets too hot so it's more gradual. Also, it's a very durable glass usually Mason jar type of thing.

@@MoJo01 pyrex would still shatter if its under extreme stress, causing thermal shock due to change of temperature. pyrex isnt what it used to be, they replaced borosilicate with soda-lime to cut the cost.

Fallon Moore it also helps if you dont just add your glass straight into already hot boiling water. it should heat up with the water so they are both at the same temp. i use glass only as well because ive heard(dont know for sure) that bowls made with certain metals can be toxic to heat ingredients in because the metals can be infused into whatever youre heating. im not 100% sure. just something i was told thru my life. suppose i will do some research after this.lol

I didn't do yet, but I will going to do them. I think this is one of the best ideas because it don't have any chemicals....
From essential oils...You should use 1 bottom 1 middle and 1 top note. The bottom note will stay on your skin longer. What I suggest check your favorite perfume's ingredients and after you know go to a store to smell them, than you can choose what you like.

a tip is if your using lavender not to use the type of lavender called Lavendula Augustifolia as its toxic to pregnant and breastfeeding mums, Children under 6yrs and the elderly - there bodies cant process the potent oil out of their bodies (see online at foundations of Aromatherapy) Also those on Antidepressants can't use Grapefruit Oil or any fragrance with thos in it as it counteracts with the serotonin levels in the brain.
I'm an Aromatherapist and Enrolled Nurse.. I see alot of people on CZcams videos using lavender but don't mention this Important tip.
iv owned my home based business now for 4yrs on facebook called Chillaxing Melts, Candles & Body Products
I'm based in Australia but ship worldwide :)
