Thanks for the great video! I’ve been watching you guys for such a long time and enjoy all your travels and reviews. My family and I run Big Island Delights and we’re so honored to be a part of your video. My 3 yr old daughter and niece both love your spam musubi making video with your mom! ❤️ Thank you again for all the thoughtful and positive content. 🙏🏼We are DELIGHTED you enjoyed our Big Island snacks.
You're right, Shinichi. We would buy kakimochi at Long's and take it to the movies and buy popcorn and mix it there. That was the beginnings of hurricane popcorn of today.
we hawaii people like to snack also need snacks on hand. always sneak in arare to pour into popcorn. even at home movies make our own hurricane popcorn. we make chex party mix for seasonal gifts love it.easy to make i can send u recipe. ha ha satoshis face eating crack seed. arare cookies are good too. satoshi of u like li hing pineapple try li hing powder on sliced oranges thats good too.
Satoshi reminds me of my late father, he hated licorice and cinnamon the most. Since I grew up in the US I liked both but I wasn't a huge fan of black licorice.
Mmmmm! Furikake Party Mix! The Plum "Ume" Gummy Candy sounds great, and I can see how the li hing powder enhances and balances the flavor of the Sour Gummy Bears. Of course, we always had Mauna Loa macadamias in our home. And I've loved every flavor of Kauai Kookie Company cookies I've tasted! It's SO cool KKC is/was one of Lady Murasaki's family businesses! 👍 Thanks, guys, for this fun snack review. I adore all your aloha shirts, btw! You both look fantastic in them!
Love your videos...think you almost have to be local to like seeds, especially li hing mui. All kinds of seeds fruits etc. covered in li hing powder at local stores, including 7/11. Love to put sweet li hing mui in my ocha at night...haven't tried li hing lemon yet though🍵
Love all those snacks! Yes we all put arare in our popcorn! Yes it has that smell but I’m Hawaii everyone eats it so it’s ok. Kauai Kookie Company is my family that also had Big Save supermarkets & other businesses on Kauai!
Love these food reviews Satoshi and Shinichi! I’m with Satoshi on this, I don’t like licorice either, even though I grew up in Hawaii too. I do like li hing powder though.
I love your videos! I'm not fond of licorice. Lol! But I do like star anise. Weird lol! I'm really interested in the pretzel, chez mix! Enjoy your evening! JoAnn Sigby
WOW, I remember that brand Mauna Loa. here in Ontario Canada, it came in a tiny folded cup that maybe had 6 or 7 macadamia nuts inside and it was more expensive than 3 chocolate bars/candy bars ! I always bring some back from Thailand,. ( another brand of course) @ 1:37 Satoshi might have meant Smooth or tender.
poor satoshi! i can't stand licorice either. gross! i'm too old to remember hurricane popcorn but i recall homemade snack mixes with arare/mochi crunch and things like chex, peanuts, popcorn, mini-pretzels, etc. not surprised somebody decided to make a commercial version of it.
I like how Shinichi just pops the whole thing in his mouth but Satoshi cautiously takes a tiny nibble.😆

You 2 are so adorable. You each can read the looks of the other. That shows the length of time you’ve been together. I love you both equally. 💕🫶💚🦩

Thank you for the awesome food review! Always great to see unique snacks of other places.

The furikake treat sounds like dinner in a bag!
So funny! Satoshi, politely nodding, but his face says it all 🤣
Would love to go to Hawaii but a trip would be rather expensive. Gotta save up for that! :D
Try kakimochi with li hing sauce or gummy bears with li hing sauce 👍🏼
All look good. Satoshi, you are so brave to eat the dried plum and the li hing lemon. Thanks Shinichi and Satoshi.
Yummy watching from philippines

Poor satoshi he was leaning away from the peach!
that rice cracker and popcorn mix combo sounds divine.
Satoshi's face detecting licorice got me cracking up! hehe
If you have a Trader Joe's in your area they have something similar. It's called Hula Cruncha. It's really good!😊
I'm putting furikake on my next batch of Chex Mix.
"Oh I forgot about the licorice!" - this made me laugh so much because it seemed to be such a barefaced lie 😂 You are hilarious!

So, Satoshi, the next snack we're going to try is li hing-flavored licorice with a spoonful of cinnamon. Satoshi: Aww, here we go again...

They must have brought an empty suitcase to Hawaii to bring snacks home!
Aloha 🌺
Hi Shinichi n Satoshi!!! Are you love streaming later today? #Tabieats
Yes we are!
I'm Team Satoshi ... I do not like licorice
Thank you two for sampling these snacks, but please gargle and wash down your mouths to lower cavities and germs.
