    I am learning so much about Japan from your videos. Who knew that an area was considered to look like the Netherlands! And now I am going to have to figure out how to make crispy mashed potatoes.

    Spot on with the "styrofoam" taste of those rice cakes or crackers sold not only in the USA, but Europe, as well. I do envy you, because these tastier rice crackers appear to be unavailable in Europe.

    Yes we still have rice crackers in USA. I am 60yrs old so originally they were just plain dry large rounds. Now they have 2 sizes, a stack of the original ones and a bag of much smaller thinner ones. The flavors have been the best improvement...chocolate, apple cinnamon, caramel, blueberry, etc..I have seen probably 20 flavors! So much better and an OK snack.

    I want to try all of these except the ones that look like persimmon seeds. I have had that type before. They all look yummy. I love rice crackers even if they are mixed with other things.

    My love for senbei started out when I was about 4 or 5 years old. My dad would often go on business trips when I was young. He was usually too busy to buy us any souvenirs but that was ok, we always enjoyed his plane loot. When he'd fly JAL, that included little packs of senbei

    Oh my gosh Shinichi and Satoshi, I really really love Senbei, and I wish I could find them here in the US, maybe I could find them at the oriental market, if not then I might have to find a way to get them from Japan. Thanks for another great food review, I always love these and will be looking forward to your next one. Have a great rest of your weekend, sending much love and many hugs, bye for now. 🤣🤗💜🙌

    Excellent content, learned so much about rice crackers. Was waiting for Satoshi to make a reference to beer (25:40)🤪😀 Love when he says " xx is a good friend of beer."

    Senbei is my favorite Japanese snack when traveling in Japan (especially with tea served in onsen or ryokan) and much-appreciated omiyage that people from Japan give to me in Hawaiʻi. I love all the regional differences and specialties! You just canʻt compare Hawaiʻiʻs rather boring arare and senbei to these traditional Japanese treats! Thanks for sharing this variety of osenbei with us!

    Ohhh this is my kind of video!!! Love senbei. Probably my favourite Japanese snack. Love the rice crackers teh most, but I also really want to try the tako senbei they have in enoshima (I think that is made with flour). When in Japan I always like buying senbei at local senbei shops like they have in Sugamo in Tokyo.

    Hi Guys'. Love this senbei round up. Can you guys' get with Bokksu to carry some of these senbei? Or, have them make a special box of senbei...

    Hi guys- love the reviews. My parents are from Hawaii and California and I remember a time when senbei was also sweet similar to fortune cookies. I also remember a ginger senbei that was pink with a white sugary coating. Now when I go to a supermarket I only see soy sauce flavored senbei. Are you finding the same results? It would be great to do a video on sweet senbei!

  • @Ripplin
    @Ripplin Před 2 lety +3

    I LOVE senbei, but it's all just Want Want brand here, which is decent, but far from great. I've only had high quality senbei once because the Asian market I go to just randomly had it. :/

  • @Takenjayyy

    Could the pink flavors be plum? I’m curious now 😂
