- As we age, it becomes challenging to win a fight when we engage in a battle of strength, as seen in hard combat styles such as boxing or Muay Thai. When our physical attributes begin to decline, it becomes crucial to rely more on timing, angles, and distance. Kevin Goat discusses how incorporating the sensitivity of Wing Chun into your boxing can assist you in facing larger, stronger, and faster opponents.

My sword trainer showed me Wing Chun two weeks ago and I really like it. It kinda goes well with my current style which is Japanese Jiu-Jitsu (Karate, Judo, Aikido) mixed with some boxing/Kickboxing. The reason it goes well is bcs I was always mainly mid/long range fighter and this really helps me to use more versatility when I get too close to my enemy.Thank you I appriciate people like you guys...
One of my former aikido instructors was also a WC practitioner and he would often “blend” some WC concepts into his classes and I loved it! He too would incorporate sword techniques, WC and aikido into his lesson. He was truly a great instructor! I wish I had crossed-over to WC then. I am slowly trying to embark on that WC journey now though.
@@steveabraham3052 There is one rule about martial arts. Everyone who starts with them just asks him/herself why he didn't started sooner. I have started at the age of six and I ask myself why didn't I took it more seriously when I was a kid (seventeen years right now)
i think the perfect WC is one mixed with different discilpines. as we all know its impossible to absolutely prepaired for every encounter, but with that being said learning multiple disciplines can better equip for a person for a possible encounters
Soooooo jeet kune do then
@@christophersmith3695 LOL! re-reading my comment sounds like that direction. hahaha
In my personal reflection, i realize that you have to be willing to learn from the world of knowledge around you, there may be something you can use to better yourself. Even if you dont change your whole philosophy or how to view the world I think its ok as long as we dont stop learning.
...i think discipline comes from the word disciple, a disciple is a person whos devoted to learning.
i apologize if i went off the deep end there.
i dont intend to be preachy or offensive i believe we should be learners cause we will all eventually be teachers.
With Respect.
@@christophersmith3695Bruce Lee invented that so I would say it's extremely effective

These Budo Brothers videos are awesome! Really love the content here! 👊🏾
This is great, this way of thinking reminds me of my JKD training drills. Switching from one style to another adapting to the situation.
I've been doing WC for nearly 30 years. You and I appear to have been trained similarly. Great video
Love it 🫶 counter punching with this type of mindset becomes an easy fallback/go-to strategy.
Most people train on unhindered, so just getting in the way or stunting their ability to move freely from launch is a great skill to have whether you do Wing-Chun or not. 👍👍
Grateful for real martial arts guys sharing real strategy
Your awesome bro and your approach is like a old school teacher that’s not about flash but what’s effective 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽dope lesson
Well done very intrigued ....
Wing chun mixed boxing is the best ❤
I like this video 🙂
Wish you were closer to MTL
God stuff!!
Hi, I'm very interested in taking your online courses. I would like to know if there is a more direct way to ask questions and get support quickly if I have any questions after taking the courses. Thank you.
you also have these things called legs that you can throw in the mix if you get tied up, they're not just for keep your ass out the dirt
Hay big fellow u would not want to try this against anyone I no.
I have a 9mm for self defense
You will never see the skill of the trainer with slow guided videos like this, pls show some real sparring vids without ur students exaggerating impact or waiting for contact for a true example of how it can work or how much of it you have to throw away in real world street fights
don't listen to him King Harald
this is not wing chun
It seems pretty easy when you move at 2x the speed of your opponent
What a fraud
If u keep uploading this nonsense it might come true
Wing chun looks good in demonstration but not very useful against a mma fighter.
This try hard has never had a real fight in his whole life
Wing Chun is just some fad marital art that became popular because of Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee had to learn boxing, wrestling, savate, taekwondo, etc because he found wing chun to be useless.
Lmao I wanna see you try that shit in a legit fight where rules aren't applied you're gonna end up dead bud.
