Only took one “free” sycamore tree myself. Never again! It was nice seeing you at Brad’s fellowship. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Dang, that is some nasty wood to split. Up here in Alberta the weather had been funky too. Fortunately the ground is still frozen so no mess in the yard although most of the snow had melted.

Weather has been the same here in southern Ontario. Freeze, thaw, rain, snow… my yard is either mud or sheer ice!

That’s some tough stuff. But the Eastonmade made it happen. And of course with the help of Mr Scheib

We need a road trip. Gather up some more oak and red oak. Split now it'll be ready for next year sales. I don't know why but those are my favorite videos!

In your last video I said I had beech. But after watching you split this I realized I have the same type your splitting. Your lucky. I had to do mine with a 27 ton craftsman splitter. Needless to say it was a good time! 😂

The weather in NE Wyoming has been crazy too, temps in the 60’s and the sun is shining. Last year at this time it was in the -30’s with snow storm after snow storm so we are enjoying it while we got it because winter is not close to being over. Looks like everyone had a good time at the Fellowship despite the rain and the mud. Take care.

That tall 4 way was definitely the ticket! That is nice that you can lower it and just have a single knife or raise it for the for the four way. That wood looked like a work out. Your videos are the best!

It's like a Sycamore tree spirals as it grows. Has tons on moisture as well. Once it is seasoned, it lights easy and burns hot. Great for getting the fire started. Not good for long burns. Impressive tree, but I have a love hate relationship with them. Tons of them grow here in SE Indiana. Great video.

That Sycamore makes me glad I live in Western Md. No doubt my lowly Husky 22ton would have a heart attack.
Speaking of ........ I've been waiting on the weather so I can get out back and replace the Control Valve Assembly and get back to splitting the remaining 7-8 cords of Black walnut.

That's some of the worst I have ever seen for splitting. Reminds me of black gum. I think I would just take the saw and noodle it into nice firewood pieces instead of trying to split it.
    Take care buddy!!😀😀💚💚

Good use of the little winch. I have a boom for the back of a 1-ton flat bed that I have loaded some pretty heavy logs with that I plan to use for changing wedges when I get my 22-28.. And wow, that sycamore is nasty.
