- Both teams came into the game at 4-0 but Ole Miss upset #1 Alabama 23-17 after Senquez Golson snagged the game winning interception. This is easily the signature win for Hugh Freeze and his Rebels.

Ole Miss would have lost this game if it wasn't for reviews. The play the Refs wouldn't review was the facemask that caused a fumble. That Alabama took in for a touchdown. When playing Alabama you have to beat the Refs also.
