I watch because my brother was a New York City realtor and property manager. He only dealt with Manhattan properties so I only know a little about that borough. Manhattan real estate rentals and purchases are different than most areas in the U.S. This is because everyone wants to live there and there is no more space, so builders are now building “up”; adding more floors. When the pandemic eases, these rental prices will go up, up, up. Before the pandemic, fewer than 2% of Manhattan rentals were vacant at any one time, so people rushed to make an appointment to see an apartment, and often the first person to see it took the apartment. It is fascinating to me and it is very exciting to visit Manhattan. It is diverse, vibrant, alive, gritty and discouraging at times, but well worth it.
I know right, I guess I just like Cash. I used to live in NY. The mortgage on my house in the mid-west was less than $1000 a month. New York is a wonderful/horrible exciting place, best enjoyed when you are young. I have to go get on my tractor and mow my yard.

This place is awesome. I live close to there. Flushing is a great neighborhood and a hidden gem. Lots of great restaurants and good shopping options and it's not too expensive, especially if you buy from ethnic grocery stores. 7 Train takes a while, though. However, you can take the LIRR from Flushing if you want to cut the travel time in half.
Gonna have to remember that LIRR bit next time I'm in flushing.
What stays in Flushing, no longer stays in Flushing! A super cool apartment with gorgeous balcony views and interior space that doesn’t make you feel cramped. At the price point, you get all the amenities of midtown without feeling like you live in a fishbowl. Plenty of reasons to look outside of your target area for a decent place to live. You could get surprised!
I m a native New Yorker but moved to Virginia in 1995. I enjoy these videos just to see parts of the city again and Cash is so entertaining showing the apts.

This place is wicked awesome! One could only wish for an in-unit laundry. Love balcony, kitchen, and bathroom.
I would definitely build another floor, if I were the owner... He/she'd have a big, stunning apartment!

Completely agree. As impressive as the high ceilings are, it seems like a massive waste of space.
I would build over the bedrooms only, making the first story ceilings some sort of soft finished tongue and groove wood with unidirectional inset lighting. If possible leave the bedroom on the lower floor that has the bathroom and knock out the wall between the now second bedroom and the living space.
You would end up with a larger open living space, three bedroom, three bath. Or have a two bedroom, three bath, open living space with an office/work space/library/room for activities, upstairs.
Even if the wall between living space and now second bedroom is load bearing you could just have exposed columns which would be cool too.
That’s a fun space that has endless potential.

Yes and good thing ur not a landlord...we have enough greedy landlords with no cares or thoughts about people's living spaces. And we'll its deep in Queens...needs something to balance that out.

This one made me laugh - remembering my ex-mother-in-law (may her memory be a blessing), who always referred to this area of Queens as "Flushing, you should pardon my expression." Miss her. Nice apartment. Glad you didn't get stuck on the roof today.
This is the heart of downtown Flushing but it is just a small section of Flushing. I have lived my whole life in Fresh Meadows which is about 2 miles or 2 short exits East on the L.I.E. and our zip code is Flushing. The plane traffic is from LaGuardia and when flights are running at full capacity as they will be soon, you will hear the planes constantly. Cash, are there mechanical blinds for those windows, otherwise you'll never get sleep. Very congested area so don't even think about a car unless the building has parking.
The bathroom sink doesn’t match in the master bathroom, but it does in the second... weird...

A penthouse where the “upper floor” is truly an open concept!!! It needs an actual second floor to be called a penthouse. Wonder what the AC and heating cost given all that ceiling height. Disappointing that a modern building like that does not have in unit laundry.

@@heatherhopereed2147 Spoken like someone who has only been to NYC as a tourist. I live in Jackson Heights and it has gorgeous pre-war apartments on tree-lined streets. With some of the best restaurants on earth in a 10-block radius. Yeah, real depressing. Enjoy the Olive Garden.

@@heatherhopereed2147 Definitely not a NYer. Staten Island is the only place I'd call depressing as a native. I don't even consider it part of the city lol. Every other borough has its own culture, food, experience, etc.
The express train will take you into Manhattan in under a half hour, plus it's almost all above ground.

Beautiful apartment! A walk-in closet has bars to hang clothes on three sides of where you are standing, usually with storage shelves above them. I have only seen one of your videos that actually had these!

That apartment is gorgeous. I could quarantine in there for a year w/o losing my mind. All that natural light, the great views, some outdoor space, and not feeling as cramped in with neighbors as a lot of other places is all amazing. Literally the only thing it’s missing is in-unit laundry. I’d use the 2nd bedroom as a office and workout space.

This is a great apartment and the price as well. I’m not familiar with NY, but I googled Flushing and is seems to be a relatively safe place to live. I like the windows very much. Without the top floor it is very pleasant and bright. Beautiful aesthetic. The owner did a good job in renovating and designing this one. The industrial size Washers and dryers are good. Very nice unit.

Hahahaha. I love and my Mother had an taught me how to use her KitchenAid Blender☺ that helped make some bread☺. The apartment looks nice with the balcony there. And the high ceiling is very cool. At least the washer/dryer are in the building!!😑 The tour looks very nice.
