In 1962 the plant assembled the first legendary tractors K-700 Kirovets, in 1975 - the first K-701, and since 2000 - tractors of a new generation K-744. During 40 years of the plant’s operation, over 467000 tractors under the brand Kirovets have rolled off its assembly lines.

Justin Noker true points. That's pretty strong for a tractor when a tractor was originally used to tow military missiles.
Cody Crouse yep, which surprised me in farming simulator when the mod for it made it one of the cheapest tractors in the game, along with the most powerful, only real downside was it was thirstier than a Russian alcoholic
FR the quality and ruggedness of the K701 hasn't been met by any other tractor I've seen even the price is unmatched to any tractor today

no one is arguing over their pulling power, they can pull because the have a big motor, are heavy, its horses for courses, but it gets down to what you are after, too heavy and they compact the ground on farms, and also get bogged easily, tractor pulling is not a test of relevance to how they work out in the field.
Too heavy...they only have 12 tons and 300Hp engines...
let see western tractors with same HP and their weights:
Case Magnum 315HP 11 tones
Case Optum 313Hp 11 tones
JD 8770 same class as kirovets k700 wiht 300Hp have 15 tones
JD8630 with 270HP have 11.4 tones
yugoslavina IMT 5270 with 270Hp have 12 tones
Massey ferguson MF 4800 series have 11-12.4 tons.....
So this is weights of this big tractors and their weights is almost same as kirovets....with almost same HPs....
Yes, are we talking about tractors for farms versus a pulling contest? if they are any good as a farm tractor why don't they compete with western tractors in the market? I have never seen one here in Australia, I doubt if anyone would buy one after the Belarus affair, I have several tractors and I wouldn't buy one.
I obviously hit a sore spot with you Ruskies and your kirovet tractors, Are we talking about a tractor pulling contest? the tractor with big HP have to be heavy to press the tyres into the ground, the point is a tractor of that size is going to pull a big load, but comparing it to a tractor specifically designed for farming which has many advantages over your Kirovet which are not up to modern farming techniques, no one would buy one for farming here.

I have old Case maxxum 5150 its a great tractor for me. I have it almost 14 years now and i plan to change it with new one 125 or 140 Case maxxum in near future. He was second handed tractor, bought from germany in 2002.
They dont need to compete with wester tractor because they was made in past for russinas and their military.
To day Russkies made new series of this tractor Кировец 744 Р4 or Kirovets 744R4....i see them when we go to Russia to see their new combines...Its great tractor with western type of cabin and comfort.....
Also Russian Combine Rostselamsh factory bought Canadian Versatile braand and they now sell their Torum 760/780 combines to Canada and USA market under name of Versatile RT490...Also they made versatile tractors for same market..
hi to all the Serbs, talking to a bloke here who has a Belarus, he said it never gave any engine problems but the electricals are crap, here in Australia we don't make tractors so have no choice but to import them, all the expensive ones are the good ones, thanks.
