I cannot put into words how appreciative I am of your support for this series. I promise that more is on the way! Oh, and did I mention they'd be filthy? I'm also grateful to be quiet! for sponsoring two of our #PCDC videos this season. I don't charge viewers for these cleanings and their support takes the stress out of the process - which is very time-consuming. Cheers!
I actually subbed because of this. Cant wait for season 2!
Dear God that was scary when you came in with that case lol
its so satisfying
Greg, you're now the PC cleaning guy. You now have a unique niche, lol
What was the gpu
Using that PSU is like putting an NBA star into a middle school ball team.
Opening up a PSU is as easy as taking off a few screw on the side PSU. Take the lid off and do not touch any of the electrical components and cables. Good luck!
@@tweakz_tech That Evga PSU is probably still under warranty, so it was the right choice to replace it. Some brands are placing the tamper stickers on the screws not on the separating edges of the PSU.
hey it was probably free for both of them, no1 complaining
Hahah
Including that AIO 😅
Oh hot damn! That is one dirty ass system! Awesome series by the way, love seeing these PCs get a deep clean. :D P.S You are a boss at PC cleaning.
Can you do a similar series? Lol
Hi
As a bonus, they all seem to have more than 1 stick of ram
Tech Yes City would like to have a word with you, Dawid
(Edit) Not gonna lie though, Greg is still really good too.
@@Kris451 Oh for sure, Brian can also clean the crap out of a system. 😁
Watching this series has been so relaxing and such a nice to wind the day down! Love it!
Really appreciate this series. Been watching for a while, and I love that this is happening!
The leaf blower alone returned it from "Urgh!" to "passable"
why would you make pirate noises to a dirty pc? XD
That INSANE PSU in such an old case is quite the contrast XD
Sleeper pc best pc
It's beautiful.
I’m in SFL and have started doing this very thing for friends and family... good to see someone close by doing an even better job as it inspires me to up my detailing level.
If there's one thing in particular I appreciate from your PCDC episodes, it's not even the deep cleaning itself (although I thorougly enjoy that as well obviously), it's your awesome choice in music. Please bring it back in season 2! 🎶💜
those psu more expensives then the whole rig combine haha
Basically gives you like 15 years without needing to buy a psu
I was going to write the same. Haha,
than*
this one definitely deserved a case upgrade compared to other ppl who got it.
Main reason it was so dusty. There's no air flow.
Agree
I had that same case, different motherboard, and it was super dusty...even without a bulky gpu in there, blocking air flow. Had to upgrade to NZXT case that I snagged from a thrift store and it's much better.
Just what I thouhgt, this one deserved a new case more than others, is the typical oem super closed system that obviously, like me in the past, changed the gc (and then the psu because of the lack of power on oem psu) to have more power at gaming. HP of course... mine was acer but my mom had like 5 or 6 systems from HP and they are pretty much like this.
New case, air cooler and maybe a similar psu would have been a lot better. And I mean, come on its a really old case XD it even has the ATI logo on it
Agreed. That case deserved the scrapyard..
I recently came across this series that you do and it's truely inspiring. You can tell that a lot of these builds have been loved for a long time but cleaning PCs can be scary for some people. You're truely saving these people a lot of money and giving their PCs a new life while educating people online about how to clean your PC SAFELY! This is the kind of content I've been looking for for ages so thank you for starting this series and keeping with it
This is a very nice thing you are doing for everyone. I personally want to say thank you for doing this. I am looking forward to season 2 and beyond. Keep up the great work you are doing.
Glad to see the Carey Holzman method of dusting!
Right? Ever since I saw Carey do that and prove it doesn't cause damage, I have been regularly blowing out my cases that way. Super efficient!
Same, I just hold the fan blades so they don't spin too fast. I also just pull the battery out of the motherboard and use an old tooth brush and light drizzle of water. Then bake at 200* for 10 minutes or so, you can skip the baking and air dry that sh't over night, or grab the leaf blower again.
When i saw the thumbnail, i thought of Carey
Gosh, this is the most pleasing video to watch...! Excellent job! I love the attention in detail you have! I honestly appreciate your work! This is something I help my friends to do from times to times as well. :)
Glad you went with a more relaxing song, it really enhances the experience and relaxation of watching a deep clean video.
As someone from St. Pete, I never realized anyone lived in Orlando except for people who work at Universal and Disney tbh
I agree haha
Lol same
😂 Tampa 📍
I jumped from watching pimp my ride during my teenage years to this beauty as a young adult, great videos!!!!
Omg you did it so very well. This is so satisfying. What a great job.
I started to watch the series today and i already finished season 1! Loved every single episode so far so i'll start watching season 2 now, lol. Great work
This series has inspired to give my own pc a deep cleaning. I’ve only been using for a few months though, so it isn’t too dirty.
It definitely is making me take great care of my psu.
this series reminded me that yes, i do need to clean my pc
Technically you just have to keep it in a good environment. Keep it off the floor, make sure there is good airflow in the room and make sure the pc has a lot of room to breathe.
As an IT Engineer there is nothing more satisfying than cleaning and fixing up an older computer to be useful and happy again.
Its one of my ways to relax and relieve stress to do this sort of thing.
Amazing work Greg, watched while refurbishing an old laptop :)
So satisfying. Clean my systems twice a year. Have been doing so since I got my first PC - a 386 back in the early 90s.
Thank you for always helping people out and cleaning their systems. I'm sure it brings new life to older hardware, especially in the tough times we're all facing. Keep it up my dude.
Finally! Good way to start the weekend
such a satisfying video now that is cleaning . Looks brand new.
Definitely a cool series! I would have never imagined enjoying watching such a series but here we are 😄
0:50 "Plenty of breathing room..." I see what you did there. I can't even breathe just looking at that mess!
That's dirt cake with little computer hardware sparkled on! LOL
Sneeze and the 'parts' collapse :) lol
that was some great work cleaning that thing. thumbs up
I really enjoy this series. Hope you continue this and help other people with their dirty PC.
Seems to clear my mind when I watch pc cleaning videos and I’m very glad you made a series about them. Also, I am in support of a before and after shot of the temperatures, if possible. Excited for more in the future!
Greg, this is an awesome series! I cant tell ya how good it feels watching this. I simply can not get enough of it! Its also amazing that you seem to enjoy it! Cant wait for Season 2!
Greg... my guy. It looks like you found your calling - I could see this being a series for a long time coming. The products you advertise, the products you use, the solid product into - dude - you have a seriously dope series on your hands.
THIS IS AMAZING. I LOVE THIS SERIES
So satisfying and therapeutic to watch these. Thanks! :)
I find these videos so cathartic. I feel so much better after watching this.
This is like the nerd version of Dr. Pimple Popper 😄
This was my favorite episode I think, I like when you don't recase 'em and I think the upgrades to this PC were pretty smart and fit the case well.
Season 2 idea maybe deep clean a few laptops? Obviously upgrade paths on them are pretty small (sdd or ram typically) but the benefits from a good deep clean will be far more noticeable in the temperatures.
For someone reason i have always been the guy of cleaning Pcs! Simply Love it from OS clean to Physically cleaning it!
So satisfying to watch him clean and do some upgrades
That blower did an amazing job on its own! Great series and I’m watching some of these episodes again. Great work Greg 🥰👍🥳 cheers from Australia 🍻
Awesome! Thank you!
This series was a very welcome surprise, you definitely know what you're doing, bro. And if you don't mind... Please keep it up!
I don't really care if it's repetitive anymore, I want more of these videos, this is therapy for me too. I'm very very very okay if the same thing happens over and over with the same outcome as long as it's like this lol this is the best channel I've found last year!
Season 2 YAY 😍
The plume of dust when you were using the leaf blower was SO satisfying lol. Can't wait for season 2
You're awesome, man.
Love these videos and what you're doing.
So satisfying to watch
This has to be one of the best series I’ve ever watched. I’m extremely ocd and this is so relaxing to me. Keep it up fam. Lovin it!
Straight up used a leaf blower! now that is a first. Amazing work as usual!
look up carey holzman
so satisfying to watch!
So relaxing to watch
Glad you think so!
Nicee, cant wait for season 2
Me: How many Q-Tips do you need?
Greg: Yes
Wow dude, such an amazing cleanup on that system. Love these videos.
Glad you like them!
This was the most satisfying one yet. Well done!
From the start 0:00 until 0:17 I just thought to myself: When was the last time that this was cleaned? That... is absolutely gross.
jokes aside, S2 is going to be amazing! Looking forward to it!
Would love to see the specs of the PCs in s2!
Good call on keeping the case, I love sleeper builds.
This is so cool! I love this "sleeper" I realy want to do it at my own.
06:49 I thought you were pulling a dead squirrel out by it's tail for a moment.
If someone's PC look like that, I cant imagine what the house or car looks like.
my pc doesnt look quit like it i try to blow the dust out atleast because im just to damn rought with things so i dont touch it since everythime i tried replacing something i bricked another thing xD but my house is clean af so youre not quit right about that :3
Those PSU cables pushing the GPU down and bending it, is crushing my heart.
I love seeing the retro cases, I have been building computers for about 30+ years. This brings me back to the first 386DX computer I built.
I love the sleeper style PCs, but keeping serious hardware cooled in them can be a real challenge, since they rarely offer much by way of intake fans.
Yep! Which is why the AIO solution was best, I think. Isolates CPU cooling into a closed system that allows unhindered exhaust out the rear.
@@GregSalazar another option would be ditching the HDD cage in favor of SSDs and cutting a 120mm fan hike out of the front bottom of the case, cutting away any interfering plastic from the bottom of the front of the case to allow for airflow and calling it a day.
It’s probably good that the CPU isn’t dumping more heat into the case directly. However, since this is a negative pressure case, what stops it from recirculating back through the IO area into the gpu and PSU section. Also would the fan for the CPU AIO be better positioned as pull given how dirty this Pc was before, that way it doesn’t clog the radiator.
Interesting question is whether that PSU will be able to exhaust the hot air out from the gpu and motherboard effectively or not.
1:58 10 Year warranty, very hard to find in this industry
Seasonic: Am i a joke to you ?
even the 80 bucks corsair RM550x has 10 years warranty lol
@@robinkonig5828 Most PSUs do _not_ have ten year warranties - hence why I said what I said. Always easy to point out the exceptions :-)
Love watching this.
i love this series
I recently built my first pc, and damn, I didn’t realize how quick they collect dust.
Positive air pressure and good filters will save you.
Pauses video. Goes to make a cup of coffee. Be right back! :) Edit: That PSU is probably worth more than the entire system.
What a great way to mix up your content in these trying times. Props.
This was like watching one of those "Calm" app videos - satisfying indeed. Good job 🙂👍
You’ve gotta start listing the viewers specs in the description I’m always curious what the specs are ...
I see you found the system bug 😄
Was that a bed bug?
Good work master !
Mad respect for using hand screw drivers. Working on computers I always use a good small regular screw driver.
A lot of people use battery operated screwdrivers that just get in the way, strip small screws and over tighten everything.
It's also a BTX case, and it's almost impossible to find BTX cases.
I think it’s atx, just flipped over. Silverstone sells the TJ-08E which is simply a far superior version of this HP case.
See most would have just called it a day after using the leaf blower on it.
Very satisfying!
I like your passion for the computers. Keep it up.
This is super satisfying. Smoking is bad
Hello it's you again
Second?
when he said i never deep clean power supplies i laugh in electrician language and plus you can just use air compressor to clean them enough a good psu should last on average of 10 to 12 years even caked in dust as long as that dust is not made of metal and its blown out regularly
@iceson lokos you can if you to not body block the fans meaning keeping them from spinning but other than that no its perfectly fine
i really LOVE these types of cases...
This was a great series, and I can't wait for the OVA before Season 2 starts!
Greg, I understand the question of not messing with the system, but you could at least optimize the order of the SATA cables. You left the SSD on a SATA3 port and an HD on a SATA6 port. Congratulations on your work and a big hello from Brazil.
11:33 You plug in HDD in sata3 and SSD in sata2, nice job....
These videos are great to watch
VERY SATISFIYING!! AWESOME
As a middle eastern who lives in a desert, If I have to change my psu for getting dusty, I'll end up buying 1 every week
Yea, when he said that it rubbed a nerve, throwing out a PSU because its internals got too dirty to remove with just air is ridiculous, at the very least he could've said just take it someone who knows what they are doing to get it cleaned.
This was damn good cleaning! Loved the series. A small request, can you plz make a video on all the right instruments to use (or you used) for cleaning the PC parts? Thanks.
I've loved these videos Greg, your cleaning skills give the Yes man a run for his money! 👍
Great video! Keep it up!
Random yt recommendation i thank you . It's so satisfying
Poor me , just happy to see this types of pc . Thanks for uploading ❤️
Wow. Great job. That's a pretty dirty HP. But I liked that the owner upgraded his components. Looks pretty good all spived out. What's bad about huge layers of dust is it inhibits cooling. Depending on the content of the dust it can create static or electronic bridges to shorting out.
When cleaning computers, denim works really well to clean and polish aluminum, steel and other metallic surfaces (like the brushed metal surfaces in this case and on brackets of expansion cards which might be slightly oxidized).
This video is like watching monster zits get popped -- but even more satisfying!!
great cleaning!!!
AWESOME job
Shout out from Kalispell Montana I Have been watching the channel now for a few week's and have come to enjoy it a lot. I'm a pc builder myself and cleaning pc tower's found using air compressor set at 100 psi works wonders The dust here is just so bad due to the dry climate. Anything metal use dawn on it and the blue shop towels as well. Recent pc build Ryzen 2600x Master Air MA612 Stealth ARGB Cooler MSI Tomahawk B450 anidees AI Crystal XL PRO RGB Full Tower Tempered Glass XL-ATX/E-ATX/ATX Gaming Case. Memory went with the rgb version of Corsair 3200 Vengeance. .Due to the gpu price gouging had to use what was on hand XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Edition. Monitor is 27 inch acer Led. Games run 60+FPS on 1080p resolution .SSD Samsung 500 gig and 1 terabyte HDD for storage. Know not a power house rig but it was built on a budget and performance turned out better than expected.
