I think the lucky cat theme for a doll is pretty cute, especially for a western doll. I've only seen them occasionally in anime and Japanese video games, and never really knew what they were about. I wish the dolls still came in the blister pack though instead of being exposed.
Love the American Eagle doll, she makes me think of the Forth of July. My only criticism with this series is that they should have better represented some of the other countries that they were hinting at. For example, the Duckington girl representing England.

If you’re thinking of displaying her with the cats in or near the kitchen, I would advise having some kind of covering case over her. Over time things that are there will pick up a lot of little bits of oils and grime even if they aren’t next to the stove or food, and her cloth body and white clothes are not a good match for that environment. Although it does sound from that one comment like you’ve maybe already thought of this.
I don’t like that the cats are in here either (for their safety) but I didn’t want to “display” them as a prop or anything and wanted to respect the culture. There’s very specific guidelines on where they’re meant to be placed and unfortunately that is either my kitchen or my mud room. Mudroom doesn’t lock and these are my personal treasures so I had to go with kitchen
Oh, she's really adorable. I have the teens, well 7 of them. I love the Na Na Na Teens! I also have one smaller sized doll from series 4, Juli Joyful because she is so cute. I do preferr the teens size however. I like the fact that you can remove their hats and I like the size of the teens. Looking forward to your upcoming Na Na Na video or videos.

I have Liling too, and her shoes actually stay on really well, they are pretty snug around her legs. So you could probably take the plastic off if you wanted to.
aw shes so cute, had my eyes on her and want to get her and have her displayed near my Akebeko (red bull traditional craft from Aizu region of Japan that was a toy but is now seen to ward of illnesses) that i painted the spots on when I went to japan in a college exchange trip called the Tomodachi Generation.
The beckoning cats are all Japanese Bobtails. Hello Kitty is a play on beckoning cat and her twin sister Mimi is a play on Nekomimi. They are both Japanese Bobtails but born, raised, and living in England.

@@xCanadensis they’re very strange compared to 10-20 years ago with toys :( the older barbies would do stuff like that but the toy manufacturing standards have changed. Like the dolls having tags do to them being considered as a stuffed toy
